Great school. Graduated in 1967 and loved that year. Mrs. Bish and all the teachers were outstanding.

I graduated for CHS in 2000 and went there for two years only but I loved the school. When I went it was during all the renovations so my senior year was odd because of having classes mainly in trailers. Anyhow I loved my time there. I loved the counselors there and the security was cool also. Of course the school has changed a lot and I visited a year ago and was surprised to find cameras everywhere including in class rooms. It's much nicer now then when I went there though. I e heard many times that it's one of the top HS in the IS but I actually checked the list and it's ranked much higher than you might think. I'm not going to be correct on this but it was somewhere I think in the several 100's but was still on the list. Maybe it's the top one in Maryland. I would send my kids there if I had them. Not sure if they have the same issues they did back in my day but that was around the time of Columbine and bomb threats which was crazy to experience. I would say the teachers were good and they pride themselves on being a top school at least back then.

I have three children that attend Churchill High School. I think for most it is a great school. The teachers, facilities and staff are great. The curriculum offers students many choices; however, for those students that have learning issues, keeping up with their classmates can be difficult. Even with an IEP that provides for multiple accommodations, realistically parents need to remember that MCPS teachers have to cover a certain amount of material each day, with no real latitude to make adjustments to allow for extra time or differential learning activities that would benefit non-traditional learners. I would recommend this school for gifted and average learners; however, if your child has a moderate learning disability they are likely to become frustrated and fall behind.

started 9th grade this year the first two weeks were a mess. but the good thing is you have an hour long lunch so you can finish any homework you have to do. and you can have your electronics out during lunch and in between classes.

I am a graduate of 2016. I just have to say yes the education is pretty great. However, the majority of the students are snobby, rude, and some are even racist. If you're a genuine person you will learn you will prefer to have a small group of friends. I would not send my kids to a school like this. Even if it has good teachers. Not worth it.

The schools racist and whats worse is that they hide behind it. I would not recommend sending your kids here if they are of color(same as me) and have not atleast lived around the area for awhile to know what kind of people your dealing with. Students were fine for the most part however some obviously had no house training whatsoever. Administration is just ridiculous. Shouts to Ms.Danoff, Mr.Rohner, & Ms.Johnson, And the security guard Ms.Johnson i highly recommend if you do send them there to get acquaintance with a few of those people. All other administration just wants to stick their head in business that doesn't pertain to them and that all in all can overwhelm your kid. Good luck though. Oh last thing the principle herself is racist, she will not let anyone's therapist enter the building even if you go above her to the board of education. Very shady school overall. The teachers are amazing and are really looking out for the kids there however.

I am disappointed that the school has not done more to create a safe environment for our children. Counseling groups and classes on how to deal with potential treats is not enough! We need more security now!
