This was our first time dining at Baronessa and we loved the experience! We'll definitely be back. The service was amazing, the food was very delicious, and the prices were reasonable. The restaurant has a elegant and homey feeling to it with the beautiful murals of Italy. Kudos to Owner/Chef Angel and his team on the wonderful culinary experience they've created.

Although we usually order takeout from this restaurant once every month or so, today was the first time my family and I dined inside. The food was excellent, and we had quick service by the waiter who was very attentive and polite. I had the manicotti and my wife and daughter both had the pasta with vodka sauce. We will definitely be returning in the near future.

I love a good story, it adds substance to everything and that includes places I go to eat. You need to take a little visit to this Italian restaurant(previously owned by a 70-year-old woman) now owned by two business partners with backgrounds from Honduras and the Czech Republic! Not only is the food fresh and flavorful; but the setting quaint, and service is fast and friendly. I admire the heart that has gone into this place - from insisting on having a brick oven for the pizza (plus meatballs and other menu items to add flavor from the burning oak); to having a former 2 Amy's and Red Rocks chef trained in making top shelf Neapolitan pizza (fyi takes just 90 seconds at 900F!) I haven't been to Italy yet, but I have a pretty good idea of what the food tastes like now. You won't be disappointed. Try the brussels sprouts, one of the fresh house made pastas dishes, the bruschetta, and or course, some pizza! I had the Gude Goody which is great for meat lovers. The bruschetta certainly deserves an honorable mention. If you are gluten free or looking for a lighter option with the pizza, they have cauliflower crust available. Wine is half off on bottles on Thursdays, and yes, they have brunch!

First time here. Ordered the Bruschetta as a starter and was pleasantly surprised at how fluffy and crunchy the bread was, nor was it soggy. The bread basket was delicious as well.

For the main course I ordered the Seafood Risotto, which comes with Jumbo shrimp. They were huge, 5 pieces for the whole dish though. I prefer more variety like clams and scallops as well, but it did the job. It was a little too cluttered- onions, tomatoes were too big, and mushrooms. It disrupted the soft texture I love in risotto but none the less was still delicious.

My partner had the Lunch Eggplant Parmesan and let me try a bite and I much preferred that over my own dish! The marinara was light and delicious, and the eggplant was soft and not too oily with that satisfying breaded crunch. Can't wait to eat the leftovers at home.

Fantastic food and service! This was the first time here and it did not disappoint. We ordered the classic pepperoni pizza and, while it was cooking, the owner came out and asked me and my kids if we wanted to go see it cooked. It was a very cool behind-the-scenes look at the kitchen and that awesome wood-fired pizza oven. The chicken parmesan and penne con salcicia were also delicious. I cannot recommend this place enough!

Came here with 10 from my family on Mother's Day and had a great time. We had reservations as it was quite busy. We're Italian and my family can be very picky when it comes to Italian food. Everyone was happy with their food, which ranged from Salmon to pizza and calzones to pasta.
I had the Monte y Mare pasta, which had shrimp and sausage with a light cream sauce. Very good. My brother had the house specialty squid ink pasta, which he enjoyed.
We had several apps to start, including calamari, grilled cauliflower, stuffed eggplant, and white pizza. All very good.
The place was packed but it never felt loud or noisy. We had a large round table, and were able to hear each other over the full restaurant of other Mother's Day diners.
Service was great and food was on the lower side of reasonably priced.
They had several large tables, so definitely a great spot for family dinners.

We loved our dinner.

We have been to this restaurant in Rockville for dinner and absolutely loved it. It's cozy and quiet. I am not a big eater and had a variety of appetizers with wine (house Merlot was excellent and Brussels sprouts from hot appetizers menu was great), my friend had grilled salmon salad and another friend had capesante risotto. Everything was served at once, the servers were knowledgeable and polite. Overall - a great experience.

One of the best pizzas I've ever had. I'm not exaggerating! We had the Angelo's Special
and it blew our tastebuds away. You get good value for your money. Great place to order from when family visits or you just want to have a pizza night.

OK so I finally was able to go and try the wood fired pizza over at Baronessa - and ended up going for Sunday brunch not knowing if they would have pizza on the brunch menu, and turns out they have breakfast pizzas! And man they are soo good. The breakfast pizza and the Marcello's pizza (both with yummy eggs) came out looking beautiful and the crust was just perfect and delicious - only a brick oven could do this. Definitely one of the best pizzas I've had in a long time, breakfast or not. Totally worth your while if you like good pizza. Other meals that came out looked great too. Nice place and the staff was very friendly and even got to meet the head chef Angel - a super nice guy and definitely knows how to make some tasty grub! Looking forward to heading back soon to try other items on the menu.

Stopped in while in the Rockville area. Super low-key place. Service was nice, ambiance was casual. The complementary bread was not great. That being said, got the margherita and mushroom pizza. They were excellent. Outstanding crust and tasted authentic. I would highly recommend stopping in for the pizza if you want quick, high quality pizza in a highly casual environment.

Our server was very nice and the food was delicious. I got the ricotta gnocchi and it came with a creamy tomato sauce topped with cheese in the center. Decadent and delicious. The serving sizes were really good for the price.

We ordered two pizzas and two Caesar salads for carry out and were blown away. The dough on the pizzas was perfectly chewy and even a little sweet. The sauce and cheese tasted very fresh and the Caesar dressing was 100% homemade. The salad was crisp and delicious with not a single wilted leaf in our bowls. It’s a bit out of the way for us but we will definitely be going back!

Baronessa is my favorite family restaurant to go to! We have family dinners every Sunday and we usually end up going to Baronessa's most of the time because we love it and it's a great spot for large families. The customer service here is phenomenal! The staff are always friendly and the service is amazing. The menu has something everyone in the family can enjoy, like pizza, wings, gnocchi and salads. I definitely recommend trying their wings, stuffed eggplant and white pizza. We've created so many great memories here as a family and I always look forward to coming back.

Recently I visited this restaurant and the food here was really amazing. They make homemade pasta and Neapolitan pizza on wood. It is the best pizza in the world! If you go there you also have to try their Charred Brussels sprouts. I truly recommend them. The dish is delicious and very healthy. And the service was great too. People working here are kind and polite, that's what I really appreciate. I absolutely enjoyed the time in this restaurant and I know, that I will be back soon!

The service was excellent. Attentive without hovering. We had two of the wood fired pizzas and they were perfect. Just the right amount of crispiness on the crust without being dry and hard. Tasty toppings that were fresh and flavorful. Will definitely return for more from the menu.

Great food! Their brunch prices are just hard to beat and their portions are dececent. They offer keto friendly options like culiflower crust pizza and zuccini noodles. I met the owner before, he showed me how they make their pasta from scratch daily. Their pizzas are pretty good if you are into thin gourmet pizza. I highly recommend it.

Visited Baronessa Italian Restaurant over the weekend. Service was great, and expeditious. I was greeted upon entering, and served immediately by the restaurant staff.

The atmosphere, and ambiance were very pleasant, and inviting, making for a very pleasant mood!!

The menu is catered towards Italian food, which they have a wide variety of. I tried the original pepperoni pizza, and I must say it was extremely delicious, freshly made, and cooked in the wood-burning stove, and served piping hot!! Very delicious indeed. I also had beer, and sangria, which were both fixed well, and quite tasty.

I was given a tour of the establishment as well, and I was completely impressed!!

I would rate Baronessa as exceptional, and recommend the establishment to all my friends, and family!!
