Very quiet and clean. Nice place to go with family. We took the kids boating. Definitely a work out so you may want to have folks in your boat that know what their doing, don't mind switching shifts or are ok with rowing the whole time. They also have pedal boats, tours, kayaks and canoes.

They have picnic areas that are really cute too for parties.

Beautiful park with lots of picnic areas with benches and well marked trails. The park has a lake and is surrounded by tall trees and the whole area is simply beautiful in Fall with lovely colors. The park is open from sunrise to sunset.

Perfect for a casual cruise around. Easy trails. There's a chronolog that you can partake in for the lake.

My family’s favorite park since 10 years now. Calm, clean, well maintained, fresh air, ample vegetation and great animal sightings. From winter to summer its always a great idea. Great for walk and cycling. Kids love the park and will spend time looking at bugs etc… also there are many water streams. Also met an alien once

Overall great park and a beautiful lake. I’ll break my review into categories. “Parking”- plenty of parking spots and lots at this park. I would suggest parking at the first lot to the left of main park direction sign because it’s the biggest. It’s a gravel parking lot. They do have a couple other smaller lots and even roadside parking. I’m impressed with the parking options compared with other dc area parks. “Bathrooms” - it was closed. Maybe due to covid or park policy not sure. Before sure you handle your business before venturing to this park. “Trails” - My friend and I did the main trail closest to the lake for the excellent water view. It was an easy hike on that is 90% dirt trail and the other is concrete/gravel. Plenty of space for people to go in both directions on the trails. “Activities/Other” - I saw a volleyball court, picnic tables, kayaking spot, huge grass field for anything and plenty of park benches to chill and take it all in. I would definitely recommend to go on a hike at this beautiful and peaceful work. It seems to be great for families, dog owners, and really anyone! I’ll be back for sure!

Google maps will take you to the Golf Course. It is best to follow the sign. This park is very big with many different areas. I saw a zip line compound buy I think it was closed. It was a large area for this to take place. Many different picnicking areas and there is a playground along with canoeing. Outside of this, you have the open land and the many hiking trails.

I haven't been to this park in years but decided to take my children for a quick hike. We absolutely loved the maintained field area, marked trails and the parks all around beauty. We will definitely be back for fishing and Go Ape zipline!

Nice park with breathtaking views. Good place for hiking, biking or just exploring. Lake was the highlight and the fall colors were just beautiful. Would definitely revisit this place.

Great place to take a hike, both bike and walk. Zip line, kayak or canoe. Shaded picnic tables by the lake.

Beautiful Regional park at Gaithersburg, kind of large and full of activities for a regional park. Perfect place for hiking, tons of trails available which changes tones in every season from summer to fall to winter. Specially the lake view within Fall color is magnificent, same thing goes for hiking in the fall. Highly recommended place to visit.

Miles of hiking on the Rock Creek Trail. It is paved and there are a lot of cyclists. Everything is well kept there no trees over the trail. We saw a lovely water bird and some jack-in-the-pulpits starting to grow.

It’s really good to spent some time with your family here. You can walk around the lake in 1 and a half hours which may be deserved as around 9,000 steps depending on your step length.

A favorite place to hike around the lake. It's beautiful, and usually quiet. You can take advantage of the boat rentals if you like, and they have zip-lining activities, etc.

in the midst of suburban MD you have a near wilderness that runs down to DC. stay on the paved path or take one of the more rugged hiking paths. I ride my bike there all the time.

Easy paved walk, nice to avoid mud if it has rained. Good dog walk. Fairly quiet given proximity of roads.

I always have fun going here. Ample parking, great trail access both paved and natural. Nice lake for Kayaking or whatever else you got. Bring your own or rent from the boat shop.
