Mellon Acres

We had a mini-family reunion after Thanksgiving. While the weather did not cooperate, we still had a great time! The cottages were nice and warm and owner was great!

Our wedding was absolutely perfect! The owners had the area beautiful mowed and maintained for our special day. They were helpful and check in on if we needed anything. We highly recommend this as a great wedding venue!

We were not only guests, but vendors also at an event for Lawson's Alumni Association's All-Alumni Reunion this past weekend. We rented a cabin and it was gorgeous. It was much more spacious than I thought it would be and very comfortable with everything we needed! Susan was very helpful during the rental process and answered all questions, and returned messages very quickly. Our cabin had a pretty view of the lake and there was a giant willow that we all sat under.

As vendors with a photo booth, we had great access loading and unloading equipment, they were super helpful, and made sure we had everything we needed. The venue is gorgeous and the grounds are spacious and well manicured.

We would recommend Mellon Acres for any type of event, or even just to get away and stay in the cabins or camping area.

If I could leave more stars, I definitely would. Paul and Susan are absolutely amazing to work with and great people. They made our special day even more special with their kindness and willingness to help!

My husband and I just had our vow renewal for our 13th Anniversary at Mellon Acres yesterday; we have worked with Susan and Paul for a year now and I don't enough words to convey how special these people and their family are. The venue was perfect and beautiful. The cabins were all absolutely adorable!! Our family who stayed in them had nothing but great things to say. Our guests loved the layout of the entire property and the Red Barn is everything we could have hoped for and so much more. Susan and Paul were incredible to work with. Every aspect of their service is impeccable; communication and suggestions came readily and quickly. I cannot recommend them enough and as Susan knows, I can go on and on and on. Thank you both and your family for working so hard for us. Our day was perfect, and it was in no small part because of all of you.

We are so happy that we got married at Mellon Acres! This venue is stunning and was perfect for what we wanted. The Rustic Barn is seriously beautiful, guests complimented the venue space the entire night. If you’re looking for a quaint little spot to tie the knot, this is it. It’s already beautifully decorated with its own little charm! Paul and Susan are wonderful, responsive, and so helpful. Anytime we needed anything, they were there in minutes to help out. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Everything was great start to finish. The Ryal's are so friendly and accomodating. The property is beautiful and the amentites are so unique and cared for that it feels like a truly personal experience. The cost of the venue was reasonable compared to other rustic barn venues, but you would never guess that by looking at it - the owners know what a special gem they have and that every bride, regardless of budget, deserves a beautiful experience on her big day.

We are so happy we chose to get married at Mellon Acres, it is a great venue run by wonderful folks. The Ryals were amazing to work with, responsive along the way to any questions we had, Susan helped with decor planning, we were able to access the reception hall for setup the day before the wedding (which was awesome) and they helped with getting everything set up how we wanted, we were able to use the sound system for our reception playlist, they served out our buffet dinner and staffed the bar (and the whole family is so friendly!!). Susan and Paul were just plain helpful the whole wedding weekend! We also rented the cabins all weekend for our wedding parties and had other family that brought RVs, and we were happy to be able to have everyone together all weekend. The wedding was as stress-free as we could have hoped. The venue was beautiful, we loved the landscaping (especially the willow trees, flowers, and waterfall) and with the pond the whole setting was perfect for our rehearsal, ceremony, and reception. We got so many compliments from friends and family, everyone enjoyed the outdoor spaces,, and we can't wait to see how all the photos turn out!!

Not only is an absolutely beautiful place to have your wedding, but the owners were such a delight to work with! They were up front with all costs and what I really loved was that Susan really stepped up with decor! Overall, you get your moneys worth! I highly recommend!

I was married here in 2017, and my wedding was the first for the new owners and everything was so amazing, we refered our friends to get married there as well this past weekend. I decorated and coordinated most of the wedding and the owners were there the whole time asking if we needed anything, and even offered their time to help set up and make sure that those of us staying on the property were well taken care of. Behind the scenes they made my job look effortless and the bride was so happy with it all. I cant even rave about this place enough. You want a beautiful and scenic wedding this property/venue has EVERYTHING!!!!!! Do NOT read the old reviews the new owners have completely made this venue the perfect place for a fairytale wedding.

The Lawson class of 1981 had our 40-year class reunion there on July 17th, 2021. The venue was great, and the owners were very accommodating and super nice to work with. My husband and I stayed in the blue cabin for the weekend and it was comfortable, clean, and the decor was really nice and cozy. Thanks to Mellon Acres for making our 40-year class reunion such a great success!

This venue is outstanding! It is cheaper then most, they are truly there for you all the way. They ended up setting almost all decorations up without hesitation, they communicated to DJ, and other venders, the setting is gorgeous, and the little cottages are a perfect little get away! Thanks for everything Mellon acres, you made a happy bride even if covid did reschedule the wedding you were very flexible and made it happen at a later date!

10/10 RECOMMEND!! From within a four hour response time to my inquiry about this venue, down to leaving the reception and closing up, the owners (Paul and Susan) were exceptional with accomodations, requests, assistance, charm, and more!! Cannot say enough about this beautiful venue, it was perfect my daughter's wedding❤ Thank you so much for making this special day less stressful for all, because of your overall guidance, decor and assistance:)

The perfect place to have a wedding!!! I had a few things not go according to plan but Susan and Paul jumped in and without hesitation saved us! I cannot thank them enough for not only the most amazing experience for my Son but also ensuring we felt as little stress as possible. Amazing experience!!!! I would definitely recommend Mellon Acres for any wedding party!

Beautiful setting ! The red barn has a lot of great things like the beautiful fireplace , party lights , screened area , good sound system , and plenty of room for 100 people . Susan and Paul are great to work with and their family helps out also! The cabins were surprisingly very nice ! Definitely upscale for cabins ! The lake is actually fishable and the waterfall is soothing !

My son and his beautiful bride were married at the waterfall w/ the reception dinner in the Red Barn last night . If I could rate this venue w/ 10 stars I would !!! Whether you are in the Rustic Barn or the Red Barn , it is a breathtaking venue !! Susan and Paul were SO accommodating and helpful . From the time we arrived for setup to the time we tore everything down they were right there to help . They were AMAZING ! My daughter was married at Mellon Acres yesterday. It is beautiful and they family goes above and beyond in everything. From the moment we booked the wedding and all the way through. Extremely helpful. Made us all feel like family. Highly recommend!!

This place is absolutely beautiful! One of the best wedding venue that I have been to to cater! Family owned and run everybody there is on point and professional! Was great working with you guys!
