Creekside Bunkhouse

The cabin was dirty, there was hair(black long hair) all over bathroom floor, few in the tub. The kitchen table was not cleaned. Both trash cans were full of trash, we were managed to squeeze our bag of trash in there some we took with is to throw away at gas station. Bring your own soap and toiletries as there were none, well there were 4 tiny conditioners upstairs on the sink. The cabin smells of old urine. I understand it is cabin and most likely old structure, however have stayed in 100 year old hotels and bed/breakfast places and none had this smell. We did not use the hot tub not jacuzzi because of sanitary issues we saw, wouldn’t trust that it was ever cleaned and serviced. There were spider webs and dust everywhere, not sure if this was left in preparation for Halloween, we stayed 10/5-10/8. There was a review dating back to 2019 where someone said fans do not work, well guess what, fans still do not work, no air circulation whatsoever. You either are cold or hot in this cabin, the ac/heater is another issue in itself but maybe this is normal for NC. There are at least 10 light switches in this tiny place and figuring out which one was which and which one works was a joke.
One pillowcase was not replaced with a clean one, i had to use a towel on the pillow when I slept. There are so many issues, we would never recommend this place to anyone. I would never return. I wished we just stayed in a tent w no amenities, this place had none either, we would have saved the money and felt cleaner than being in this smelly, dirty place. Please use some of your money you make off people to renovate it for sanitary reasons. We were not expecting a villa in beverly hills, but a nice clean cozy place to spend some R/R. Also if anything can be done, I know it is out of your control, there is a neighbor, maybe above or across, hard to tell where it was coming from. He blasts country music all day and evening. It was so difficult to enjoy outdoors and make food on the fire pit as we planned with that inconsiderate idiot. What a waste of time this was. We don’t care about the money but time waste to drive 8 hrs to this smelly dirty place, we can never get the time back. Avoid this place if you have allergies or are sensitive stomach because you will not enjoy it.
