There was never any pressure to buy or choose any options. Everything was presented and details were given, even things I would have forgotten to think of. Very easy to work with and did a great job for the day if the service. Highly recommend!

Recently I used Carothers Funeral Home after the passing of my Mother. Our family and extended family has used Carothers on many occasions and always with much care and attention to our needs. I have never been disappointed in any aspect with Carothers and highly recommend them to anyone.

Carothers Funeral Home at Gaston Memorial Park in Gastonia, North Carolina was exceptional in providing the best services in the death of our mother. The staff was very professional, knowledgeable, and purposefully took care of us.

Staff was very responsive. Really made an effort to make our experience stress free. We appreciated the personal support and their many efforts to make our experience unique to our family. Donald Gloege was just wonderful and I will always remember his kindness.

I was 100% pleased with the way I was treated and the way my family was treated. I was amazed at the extra effort that was put in the simple things like the sign in book the arrangements and constantly reminding me of things I needed to do and believe me I needed a Lot of reminding. My family was very happy with the way everything turned out. The location of the funeral home was another thing I liked and it made things a lot easier. Everyone I had contact with at the funeral home was very professional.

HIGHLY recommend this place. VERY respectful, caring, and professional. They took care of my dad with the upmost respect, and days and weeks later, the staff still called us to see how we were doing. The catering that was provided had excellent service, and the food was wonderful. Not one complaint. The establishment was very clean. Only complaint, was the 1-800 flowers that they have listed on their site. I do not recommend 1-800 flowers to anyone. 3 times they have messed up my orders (in the past) AND the day of the service for my dad, the flowers arrived several hours later after the ceremony.

Making arrangements for a loved one is an emotionally difficult time. We used Carothers Funeral home in Stanley, NC. We’re thankful to Donald for helping make the process easy and for his compassion and understanding. I highly recommend Carothers to assist other families with talking care of their loved ones.

When my father passed away, Donald Gloege and his assistant took very good care of me. He is a very patient and compassionate man. This was the second time that I had been helped by Lindsay at Carothers. She even called several weeks later to check on our family. The sound of her voice is so sweet.

My husband Charles Lowe passed recently and Lindsey was wonderful handling our needs for a beautiful service. We purchased his resting place from Lindsey and she made a special effort to make sure everything was to our satisfaction.
She was there for the service and burial.

Carothers Funeral Home is the absolute best. They paid attention to every detail possible. Under extremely sad circumstances I could not imagine any company doing any better than Carothers. From the limo that picked me up at home to the delicious gourmet meal we ended with. I HIGH recommend them.

My Aunt Elaine Labott passed away on March 15, 2021. Stan Stone, the funeral director and Tabatha who helps with the cemetery arrangements were fantastic. Stan explained all of the options and our Memorial Service and burial went seamlessly. Thanks Stan and Tabatha for a wonderful experience thru a trying time. Donald, the funeral director, was extremely professional and caring! He worked with my family that was in California and NC at the same time! He made such a hard and painful process, fast and seamless! He worked out the details and kept updating us constantly! Stan at Carothers took fantastic care of our family during an unexpected loss. The funeral business is a necessity but they made the experience a little easier to navigate.

My Dad's funeral was pre-planned which is the wisest thing he and my Mom did. They also pre-planned their crypt in the mausoleum behind the Funeral home as well. Thanks to Scotty Teague, and the entire staff at Carothers and Gaston Memorial park my family was able to honor my Dad in a peaceful and loving manner in the mausoleum chapel.
