My mother was hurt and, after a long hospital stay, was placed in a nursing home, at a cost of over $10,000 per month. She was soon to lose her home, but not before I lost my house, as I had her name on it as co-owner. My house was to be sold first with the money going to the nursing home. I had been to two law offices seeking counsel on this predicament. The first one said nothing could be done about it, and the second one, after researching the situation, also told me the same thing, and in addition sent me a hefty bill for their time. Well I think I got taken for a ride here. Wanted a no contest divorce. Put $2000 down and somehow became over $3700 and after almost a year I’m still not divorced. The contract stated that I would be charged past the $2000 unless I agreed. Well I never agreed and then all of a sudden I owed $800 so I told her not to do anything else and then a few months later my bill war $1700+ when I told her I would have to just take care of it myself. Asked for explanation of bill several times wit to answer just an invoice.
Beware!!!!!
