NC High Country Host Regional Visitor Center

Excellent service. The man working there went far beyond normal, helping with questions concerning the Blueridge Parkway.

This is a great place for lots of information about the blue Ridge Parkway. We have started making short trips around the Parkway from Lenoir, NC

We stopped by and spent probably 30 minutes there talking to John! He played the dulcimer and mtn bango for us and he gave THE BEST ADVICE for hiking trails. They were exactly as his instructions and helped us kick off our 7 night vacation with a bang. His ears might have been burning because we spoke of him often! Marathon, Backgammon and Banjo John! Give him a raise!

This place was a wonderful place to stop. The attendant was friendly and played his handcrafted musical instruments for us.

Went in for information about a great steak place. The ladies were more than happy to give my husband and I two places. Very pleased.

John was very friendly and informative. He gave us tips and detailed directions of where to eat, how to get to Blowing Rock. He was just so fun to talk to.

Very nice visitor center with lots of brochures and things to do. You’ll also find bathrooms and souvenir stuff. The person at the counter was super nice and helpful. Definitely worth the stop when you’re visiting the Blowing Rock area.

The High County Host Regional Visitor Center is the premier resource for visitors and tourists of the Western North Carolina High Country. The staff is exceptionally knowledgeable and friendly and can answer practically any question about one's trip to the Blue Ridge, from directions to lodging to dining and all points in between.

The facility itself is gorgeous, reflecting the Appalachian Ski Mountain decor (it also doubles as the Appalachian Ski Mountain welcome center, as the slopes themselves are just further up the road). Inside, guests can find brochures for area attractions, tourism maps and guides, a live weather feed, a small gift shop, impeccably clean restrooms and some of the kindest folks in the High Country.

This is a great first stop for those new to the area, looking to make the most of their trip.

Nice little gift shop, nice and clean bathrooms, lots of information. Great place for a pit stop along the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Very helpful. Two men manning the post on Sunday. Asked for good, inexpensive food nearby (this is Blowing Rock -- high cotton), they directed us to a barbecue place right up the road, which we appreciated.

Good place for travelers. A quick on and off close to the Blue Ridge Parkway. I like to eat in this area too when I'm riding my motorcycle. Eating places are close by.
