The view is great the house is beyond beautiful butttttt there is garbage scattered all over the front and sides of the house, my father in-law called multiple times about it and it seems like they absolutley refused to do ANYTHING about it the whole week we were there. The bed frame that I slept on seems to have been destroyed from a previous customer, the lamps barely work in the room. Lazy chairs that have feet rest but are to broken to be anything else but a chair...

It seems odd that they would keep broken furniture in a house this beautiful. But half of it IS broken!!!

If u rent here make sure it's not for 190 Briarcliff Road!!!!!!!!!!

I have actually never used them because I can't get them to return an email, return a phone call or even answer the telephone. I've sent a detailed email of what I was looking for, no response. I called and left a detailed message about a specific property and asked if someone could call me back as soon as possible because I was ready to book and pay as soon as a couple of questions about pets were answered. No return call. I called 6 different times throughout the day and each time was put through to the rental department and then put into the "general mailbox". I finally just gave up and decided to go with a different company.

DO NOT EVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS TERRIBLE COMPANY!!

It is 11:37 pm on 2/19/2021, and we just checked in to our rental property that we have rented from Blowing Rock Resort Rentals. We have traveled across the world and we have finally had our worst experience with this company and within one hour of arriving. Whatever you do, do NOT rent a vacation property from this company!!! I left four messages and sent an email earlier this week to confirm our stay since I never received one as promised when I booked the property. I finally spoke to Kevin...his email referenced him as the company Vice President...on Thursday afternoon (2/18) and his excuse for no response was that everyone was out of the office due to Covid. Linda, another employee, called me this morning (day of my arrival) and her excuse for not calling back was that my phone number was not clear on my message (I’m not sure about the other three messages, my email which had my phone number or my booking confirmation made on 2/3 which had my contact number.). I didn’t tell Linda that I had already spoken to Kevin and their excuses were completely different.

I should have known before we arrived that this was going to be a terrible experience. The rental unit has not be vacuumed, swept or dusted. There is trash in the trash cans. There is hair and crumbs in the refrigerator. There are dead bugs everywhere. There is trash in the sink. There was a hair tie and playing card on the floor. There is hair in two bathroom sinks. There is trash on the fireplace hearth and on the floor in front of it. I could go on and on, but I’m sure I’ll run out of space. I immediately texted Kevin upon arrival and he has offered to send someone tomorrow morning to clean “again” (his words). I have vacuumed and swept because we are not comfortable. I have looked for a hotel or rental, but there is no availability. Please save your money and frustration. Blowing Rock is beautiful and has many things to offer. Blowing Rock Resort Rentals is not one of them.

Update: It is Saturday morning, 8:15 am, and I have not heard from Kevin nor has anyone shown up to clean this disgusting house.

Update: 10:41 am on Saturday morning. I still have not heard from Kevin Walker, Vice President, in regards to cleaning the condo. I have texted him, but have not received a response.

I tried to rent a condo. Had an impossible time trying to contact agent. Finally when I did I was assured all was fine. 2 weeks before arrival date, I was unable to contact agent again to obtain key. Flights had already been paid. Had to scramble with other company to find a place to stay. I would recommend all who want a rental to stay away from Blowing Rock Resort Rentals.
