I love Irish food and Six Pence Pub brings all the best of its specialties—from appetizers to entrees. It’s located in a scenic, cozy area of town and run by friendly, efficient staff. The menu is delicious and everyone in my party agreed their order was excellent. Will gladly eat here again!

Cute little pub in the heart of Blowing Rock. We came here on a Sunday afternoon in the peak of the fall tourist season. Everywhere was packed. I fully expected an hour wait or more. We were seated immediately. The service was good for how busy they were. The food was good too. It was typical British pub food, and it hit the spot. I would definitely come back.

Food is really good, so is the service. For our latest visit, there was a wait time for us to get a table which was worth the wait. The place is very lively and noisy but I love that. A very positive energy to the place. I also loved our widow side seating and the view. We visit the place whenever we come to Boone/ Blowing rock. My favorite dish there is the fish and chips.

Wow this spot in Blowing Rock is super. Our awesome bartender was Lindsay, she is our new favorite Blowing Rockian'. She was on point with drink provisions and abc regulations but most of all helped us feel cozy and welcome to this warm spot.

I had the scotch eggs which were perfection, in fourths, and very beautifully presented (and had a cool tangy sauce with it). The girlfriend had mac and cheese bites and was in pure splendor. Ooh! Under Lindsays recommendation a pour of Carra rosé proseccoooooo. This was the hit, sip up, have three.

The people here were friendly and we chatted with them a bunch. Great vibes here.

I will alway stop at an Irish Pub and restaurant, hard to find British faire. Stopped by with the family after some hiking and was impressed. Front door was open to bring in cool air, the smell from the kitchen was in the air and beer/wine glasses were heard. Very good food, staff were friendly as can be, and very tolerant of our kids who were beyond hungry.

Great spot! I had an amazing club sandwich and it is quaint with super friendly staff. Will definitely come back!

A great place where we ate the daily specialty dish, and it was quite delicious. I'll leave a photo of the dish. It's pet-friendly in the outdoor seating area and located in the center of town - a pleasant spot to stop for a meal and continue walking a bit.

Excellent fish and chips and open face beef with perfectly toasted thicker bread, mashed potatoes with a bit of skin left on and excellent, not over cooked green beans (still with some remaining texture and bright green color). I wasn’t expecting pepper on the beans so if not your preference could maybe ask the chef to hold back. Pleasant staff. We ate inside but also large patio for outside dining.

Great people and good times. Kat, Gary, and Autumn were great. Delicious food and great wine. Highly recommend trying some wine while you are there along with the food.

It was an all around wonderful experience. The staff was very helpful and polite, they made me feel very welcome.
The food was delicious as well as the beer. We started with fried pickles and then I had the Turkey Ruben on Pumpernickel bread with fries and my husband had the Shepherd's Pie.
We will most definitely be coming back.

Six Pence Pub is an excellent pub and restaurant. Our waitress Lawson was excellent and couldn’t do more. Had my Smithwick’s and Bangers and Mashed and it was wonderful. Enjoy! Save room for dessert

We've eaten here in the past on many occasions, and this visit was no different. Really good food, pleasant and attentive wait staff, and of course, thoroughly cleaning tables and chairs between customers. My Fish and Chips was as good as always, and my daughter's French Onion Soup was delicious. All in all, a really good lunch, well done again...

Perfect lunch spot - nice large patio. Staff is attentive and food is delicious. Definitely the kind of place to have a leisurely meal. If you’re in the mood for a hearty lunch go with the Shepherd Pie. It’s really good. Their BLT is pretty perfect as well.

Good food and beer selection, great service. We had a bit of a wait for food since it was busy (understandable mid day on a weekend in busy season) but our server was great and the find excellent. Nice atmosphere.

Went here twice during our one week vacation - it was that good. Some of the best chili I've ever had. Went for the patio since I had dogs. The staff was SO friendly towards my fidos. Went back with kids indoors and they enjoyed the food as well. Our favorites were the chili and salmon w/rice. Also they just got in a new Chianti!

We sat down in the patio with our dog. Server was very attentive ans she also brought a bowl of water for our dog. We liked the service here as well as the food.
The ruben sandwich and mac and cheese bites were really good and tasty!

What a surprise to find bangers and mash in Blowing Rock North Carolina. Excellent! And, yes, they had Genius. But they also had Stumptown Stout, a regional brew that I believe is superior! Great place. It's on Main St. Don't miss it. Oh, and don't trust a beer you can see through...

Outstanding!!! From the staff to the food. Best Shepherd's Pie since London many years ago. Generous serving, fresh ingredients. Very friendly and attentive server. Would liked to have had our soup before the rest of our meal tho.

Everything we ate here was really good. The food came out very quickly and our server was on top of everything!

Love just about everything on the menu here, and it definitely is the best fish & chips around. Good ambiance. Wait staff is always nice.
