The Town Tavern

I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Town Tavern in Blowing Rock, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The restaurant boasts a welcoming atmosphere with incredibly friendly and attentive staff who made us feel right at home.We opted to sit outside, and it was a perfect choice. The outdoor seating area is comfortable and offers a lovely ambiance, especially with the live music playing. The band was fantastic, providing beautiful and lively tunes that enhanced our evening. It’s not often you find a place where you can enjoy great food and equally great live entertainment.Speaking of food, everything we ordered was delicious. The menu has a good variety of options, and everything was cooked to perfection. The dishes were flavorful and well-presented, adding to the overall top-notch experience. Whether you’re in the mood for something hearty or a bit lighter, there's something for everyone.Overall, the Town Tavern in Blowing Rock is a gem. It combines excellent food, friendly service, and great music in a charming setting. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a wonderful dining experience. We’ll definitely be back!

Loved my first visit to The Town Tavern! Though it was busy inside on a winter day, we were fortunate to be seated immediately. It's a cozy, friendly and comfortable atmosphere. Service was very prompt. Lots of menu choices! We ordered the French Onion soup, which was excellent! Plenty of tender onions and large, broth-soaked croutons underneath a perfectly baked and browned Gruyère cheese topping. Every spoonful was a treat. Also really enjoyed the Patty Melt sandwich. The burger patty itself was particularly tasty, and combined with the Swiss cheese, grilled onions and perfectly crusted Texas Toast, all I can say is it didn't stay on the plate for very long. The fries were hot, also had a great crunch and came in a good size portion. Excellent experience all around. Can't wait to return!

Everyone enjoyed what they ordered. I highly recommend The Tavern Philly Cheesesteak. Their fresh cut fries are great too. If you're visiting Blowing Rock it is definitely worth paying a visit. Staff was super nice.

Went there for lunch and it was awesome. House/side salads are great and the service was outstanding. Beautiful place inside and out. Definitely will be going back.

If you are looking for a restaurant that serves good tasty food at a reasonable price and comfortable portion, then this is it. This place has the best fish sandwich I ever had. Although the fish sandwich s fried but it is the kind of fry that health conscious patrons need not worry about. The fish is usually moist. The crab cake is larger than I ever had for the price. My wife loves their chili dogs and the turkey burger.

It's a great tavern to try if you're in the area. Loved the atmosphere, and despite it being so busy, they work very well/fast

Great food and great service. This was our first time in Blowing Rock, and the first restaurant we went to. It was busy, but the food came out quick. I was honestly surprised at how great the Cuban sandwich was. Our waitress, Savannah, was super friendly and gave helpful recommendations on the menu. I highly recommend!

Fun and family friendly atmosphere! Good wings and bar food all around and beer was priced right! Blowing Rock is an excellent place to chill a and enjoy the day while in NC. If you are near come grab a beer.

My mom ans I were walking downtown and were in the search of a restaurant for lunch when the red umbrellas caught our eye. We were seated outside with no wait and got served and food in under 15 minutes. The sandwich was great and Taylor was a great server. We will be back to try other food items the next time we are in town. Thanks Taylor!

We sat outside under the umbrella shade. It was a perfect day. Perfect for Family, friends or a casual date. Really solid food. The tater tots were ideal: crispy outside, soft warm inside. Our waitress was so genuinely happy to help us and friendly.

French dip and onion rings were excellent together and would encourage you to try them if you are a fan. We ate outside and enjoyed the patio area. It was prime time and very busy but they still had a table for us in 20mins. Service was good but a bit overwhelmed which is understandable with the crowds. If ur looking for a good app try the trashcan nachos...

We visit here about once/month. Food is always consistently good. My husband hasn’t tried any of the burgers yet- so he usually gets the meatball sub. Comes with choice of sides.
Vegetarian options- they do have a veggie wrap that comes with side for around $8.00, a Black bean Burger w/ sides for around $10, Nachos with cheese, jalapeños, sour cream, salsa, etc. that’s around $11. Very filling.
Tonight I got the Town Tavern salad. Very impressed with the size of it, for $10. Very good ranch dressing too!

Town Tavern on Main Street in Blowing Rock NC is a wonderful find. It is always busy but the wait goes by fast. The service is good and the food is delicious. I had the fish and chips and it was so good. My husband had oysters and he was very pleased. We went back the next day it was so good and I had the Eastern Barbecue and my husband had fish and chips. They have inside and outside dining and live music at different times. They have an area to play cornhole. Definitely a place we will return too.

Amazing patio, incredible food, impeccable service. If you are visiting Blowing Rock this is a "must go" place. It has an amazing patio with lights and live music. The service was so helpful. I asked for Blackened Shrimp Basket as an appetizer, pork ribs with coleslaw and fries as entrée. The taste was delicious, and the temperature appropriate. The next time I stop in Blowing Rock, I will definitely go to The Town Tavern.

Great food, service was friendly and a bar like atmosphere. Even on a weekday we waited 20 minutes to get in.

The best in Blowing Rock! The Town is in the middle of town and right in the middle of the Action. It’s a young crowd but fine for us older folks. The beers on tap offer all the Craft IPAs and the food is a perfect compliment. They are dog friendly with lots of outdoor seating so we were happy and our waitress was wonderful making us feel like special guests.
It’s been one year and we’re back again. The Town Tavern is still the Best in Town! Still jam packed with people, personality and great food. On this visit I was using a cane due to a recent cycling injury. I fell on my way to our table. People around us were exceptionally kind and courteous getting me and my wife back on our feet and to our table. I can only say Thank You to everyone at Town Tavern for being So Kind!

My family was looking for a new place to have lunch during our vacation and we came across The Town Tavern.

It is a family friendly, cozy place to have a meal. The staff is super friendly and the food was great.

My daughter even said that the mozarella sticks were the best she ever had😄.

It was so hard to pick what we wanted to eat, ended up sharing the Fish-N-Chips & Philly. A+! Also had the French onion soup and it truly warms the soul. (We found this spot off your billboard on 321!)

Great place! I only had loaded nachos so I can't speak personally about the actual food, but my wife got a Philly cheesesteak wrap and said it was awesome. They have a great selection of beer as well. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Although we were seated near the bar, the atmosphere was still fine for our 7 year old son. Service was attentive and friendly. Would love to go back again.

Daughter and Family came in from Florida so I wanted to take them to a neat location in Blowing Rock NC. The TT was such a great choice. Food Great, Service Great, looking forward to my next trip there!
