The Boathouse at Breach Inlet

Everything about this place is outstanding, from the valet to desert! Great location and peaceful atmosphere. Food is some of the best sea food I've ever had, especially the lobster and crab cake! Will definitely be back.

Very good food. Conch fritters were nice and crisp. The scallops were done perfectly. I was craving grits, and Mac and cheese both done well. We will be back! We sat outside and the heaters kept us comfortable.

Great food. Perfect ambience for a low country restaurant. I had the locally harvested raw oysters and they were perfect. Fried oysters were very good too. Some reviews have discounted the food, but ours was very good. The best seafood that I have ever had? No, but very very good and much better than the restaurants on Shem Creek and a more relaxed atmosphere. We went up to the rooftop bar, but it was October and pretty chilly, but the bartender was very nice. Our server in the restaurant was on-task, knowledgeable, and friendly.

We highly recommend you visit the boathouse for a fantastic dining experience! The menu is the perfect size with great options, and they also offer daily specials. We loved the raw oyster selection, too!

WOW!! What a meal! This restaurant put smiles on our faces! The shrimp-colored sunset offered a warm welcome which paled compared to the welcome when we approached the host stand. Our server Decker was friendly, patient, informative and gracious with our questions and particulars. We enjoyed raw oysters, then hush puppies and fresh REAL salads (not wimpy white leaf lettuce). The main course - the combination platter with scallops, shrimp and lobster in herbed lemon butter, plus Gouda Mac &cheese, collard greens, shrimp cocktail and the sauces were all homemade and top notch. Too bad I can’t mention the key lime pie; we got that to go. The ambience was perfect, with separate dining areas which allowed greater ease of conversation. We Really Enjoyed the Boat House! I hope you will too.

Once we arrived the outside of the restaurant was very nice and they have valet parking for all guests and that was very nice. The view from this restaurant was amazing. They have outside and inside seating both areas was very clean but the outside view was so beautiful watching the sunset. The waiter was so and explained everything and went even further giving us more restaurants nearby to try since I said I wanted to go to visit more in the area..The food and drinks came out pretty quickly and tasted very good..I had green beans but they where good but I don't like mine crunchy so they switched it for asparagus and it was good and went well with my stuffed chicken..I really enjoyed my first time here and definitely will go back. Forgot they have an area outside of the restaurant that you can just sit and watch the sunset or just the water.. So beautiful.

This isn't necessarily a five-star restaurant per se but in the context of where it is it really is.... It has been there for a while subjected to saltwater and a large clientele. With that said it's a great place the servers are professional and the food was very good. We also caught the sunset from there which is amazing. Fresh fish and the renowned shrimp and grits were really good today. Recommend.

Great service and a stunning view. The dolphins at sunset were a real treat and the rooftop bar was the perfect vibe.

Great experience from valet to seating to table service to dining. Attention to detail, server was knowledgeable and funny with no pressure. We had drinks, aps, dinner & dessert. Price points were good, service was exceptional and food was delicious!

This place is wonderful! You’ll need a reservation for sure (all of Charleston restaurants in general), but certainly worth a visit. We came on a packed Saturday night. The outdoor terrace was way too hot so we moved inside. The service was very friendly and attentive. The food was excellent. A very local spot. They have a very small parking lot which is valet only. But valet is free (don’t forget to tip!) otherwise you can self-park in the dirt lot across the street. Don’t miss this place-you will be glad you came!

Such a wonderful dining experience and ambiance! Our server was fantastic and knew the wines and menu very well. We had a lot of "foodies" in our group and they were all very impressed. Everything was very fresh and yummy! Sit outside and watch the sunset!

Incredible food. I tried the wreckfish and it did not disappoint. Obviously had to get a crab cake on the side. Servers friendly and BEAUTIFUL views.

We had an amazing dinner with our parents visiting this week. The addition of Chef Rob and his new creations (pickled Shrimp is one of them) and his tasty daily specials are always a reason to go back. The service was exceptional as are the views (There is no better sunset in the Charleston area). As a local, it’s great to add them back into our regular rotation. I would always recommend the daily specials and my favorite is the fried shrimp.

Drinks were good. Hushpuppies were a little overdone and steak was dry. Pimento cheese was tasty. View and atmosphere was fantastic. Total low-country feel. Amazing sunset. Valet parking.

Our concierge referred us to this jewel! Made reservations for dinner. Arrived early to have drinks on rooftop seating and got to see dolphins! Had fried green tomatoes, halibut, cole slaw with blue cheese, green beans, pan-seared scallops over risotto! Amazing food! Finished the evening back on the rooftop bar to watch the sunset. Beautiful! Everything was top-notch!

Love coming here. Came for my birthday July 6th. Had 7:45pm reservation. Got there early to get some drinks on the rooftop bar and enjoy the evening. Don't remember the bartender's name, but she did a great job. Drinks were delicious, Jalapeño Margarita, then Captain's Lemonade. I requested to sit on the patio in the online reservation, we were first sat inside. My girlfriend went up and asked about the outside and was told about a 30 minute wait. Since I really wanted to sit outside, we were ok with waiting. Went back upstairs, got an Aperol Spritz and order of Hush Puppies. Before the food arrived we were texted that our table was ready, maybe 5 minutes. Our table was perfect, view of the water. Got to see dolphins hang out during incoming tide. Brian took care of us. He did an amazing job. Scallops for me, Shrimp and Grits for Suzy. Food was amazing. Don't know what they do for Grits, but they are the best we've ever had. Brian slyly got dessert for my birthday, Creme Brulee was awesome, perfect vanilla flavor and the berries finished it right.

Will definitely be back.

If you want to go to a classy restaurant this is the place to go, their food is amazing, the customer service is wonderful ,they really know how to treat their customers. The cook really knows how to cook a steak perfect.

The butcher block tonight happened to be a 10oz New York Strip... Let me just say... OMG!!! Best steak I've ever eaten!! And the service... Brooke S. was wonderful. The sweetest and most personable server we could have ever imagined and we were so grateful for her and her personality.

Just had an amazing sunset dinner! Our server, Travis a local to Isle of the Palms and provided numerous menu ideas and was so helpful!!

This place is top notch! There are so many amazing seafood places in the Charleston area but this is one of the greats! From the rooftop bar to the creative and delicious seafood options you need to drop and and check this place out. Be sure to make a reservation as they are VERY popular in the summer. You will also need to be prepared to valet you car as parking is limited. Nice drink selection, wonderful staff, clean facility, and top notch seafood! Be sure to stop in and see for yourself.
