Very prompt and friendly service. The sushi was fantastic and the miso soup was the best we’ve had in a long time! General Tao chicken wasn’t too spicy which can be tricky! Definitely recommend this spot!! Family all left very full and it didn’t break the bank!

Was a awesome place ,awesome service and the food was great. Definitely a place to bring your children .They even give the children free ice cream as a dessert on the house. Ended up going here after another place felled to mention on their website (despite saying sushi and their name) that they didn't have sushi anymore . It was so worth driving the opposite direction . I highly recommend this place

Little gem, cozy place with really good and delicious food, everything was freshly made, steaming hot and well presented. Once you step in you will be greeted nicely and seated. The waiting es minimal, I ordered the hibachi steak lunch plate, the miso soup was excellent, the salad with their special sauce was fantastic (I'm not a salad person but this one I really liked it). The hibachi steak with rice was fresh straight from the griddle to my plate, and it was delicious! All it's flavors, the tenderness of the meat, I loved every bite. I usually don't go to Mount Pleasant but next time I know where I want to eat. 5 stars!

Honestly I didn’t even know this place existed. It’s tucked away in a mall I usually don’t go to much, but what a gem! I got take out so I can’t comment on the dine In experience. The to-go service was very respectful and the food was packaged exceptionally well. The sushi tasted good and was fairly priced. I must admit the Angel hair noodles were less than impressive, so I might try something different next time. That said, I’ll definitely be going back!

Absolutely fantastic! Our 4 and 1 year old love sushi but it’s always a gamble taking them into the restaurant vs getting to go- not only was this place great for our kids, it was legitimately some of the best sushi we’ve had in a while. The miso soup was so good we ended up ordering more as well. It was SO affordable too- we easily would have spent over $200 other places for what we got for $90 there. They were so kind with our small children (they make messes 😬) and even gave us some free dessert! We will absolutely be back when we are in the area again and will recommend to everyone!

Our first trip and definitely won't be the last. Loved everything about Sushi Taro. Sushi was fantastic and the shrimp teriyaki was delicious!! After learning of a birthday in our party they were so kind as to even bring out a birthday dessert and small gift. Highly recommend S.T.

My family and I have been regulars for over a decade. It is unquestionably the best sushi in town. No one else comes close. And it transcends the food-the ambiance, the service, the presentation, the price points and cleanliness are all top shelf.

I absolutely love this place. It is my go-to for sushi on the go in Mount Pleasant. The customer service is excellent! And if you like gobo, they have that here too. 🫦

I’m moving in a couple of months and want to give this place a shout out. I discovered it after I had an awful experience at another Mt. Pleasant sushi restaurant (go hunting for my other review!), and I’ve been coming here at least once a week ever since. The photos here are what around $20 will get you.

I always order online (someone else said they got charged extra? I never have) and I use their yearlong coupon from their website. Note: you have to print out the coupon and bring it to them, you can’t show it from your phone.

The food has *always* been delicious! Not once have they done me wrong, they’re always really nice, and their social distancing protocol from the very beginning has been top-notch. They even have an eating area outside if you wish to dine there.

Hands down best sushi/Asian restaurant in the Charleston area! Yes - the entire Charleston area!

The food/drink and the service was absolutely emuclulate. Couldn't ask for better. We also got a free desert and a new year calendar to take home. You have to try this out.

My go-to sushi restaurant. Tasty sushi, lots of options for non-sushi eaters, fair prices. I loved the Tokyo cosmo! The staff is very friendly too.

First time in and we LOVED it. We had the gyoza and tuna tatake appetizers, steak teriyaki dinner, Lotus Flower and Yummy Yummy rolls. Everything was really fresh and had great flavor. The service was fast and friendly.

The sushi & hibachi was excellent! I was giving them 5 stars before they gave us free dessert!
