If you’re looking for a clean, quaint, super convenient hotel, you found it! This was our first time visiting Blowing Rock and I am so happy we picked this hotel. The price is higher than we like but well within the reasonable range for this locale on Memorial Day weekend. It is incredibly convenient to all the shops and restaurants. The gardens are small but worth checking out!

The location is amazing and a quick walk to the center of town. The rooms were clean and comfy. The garden and outdoor areas were so well kept and calming. The only thing one should note is that there are no indoor common spaces (other than your room of course). However there are outdoor common spaces that have gas fireplaces. However given the proximity to great restaurants and the downtown area this didn’t matter much.

Enjoyable stay. Room was clean and spacious, receptionist was friendly. The gardens on the property are absolutely beautiful! Extra perks such as fresh coffee at 6AM, popcorn and little bags of ice. Really appreciate the patio area and the fire pit. Short walk to downtown. Recommend Egg Rollin’ for breakfast—short drive on main road.

My husband & I decided to stay at the Azalea Garden Inn this year for our annual wedding anniversary trip & we were both very pleased. The owners are extremely nice people & know how to keep their customers happy. The room was spacious & clean & the king sized bed was comfortable. The room had a mini fridge & Keurig coffee maker. However, my husband actually enjoyed the freshly made coffee in the lobby every morning so he never actually used the coffee maker in the room. The room was carpeted & had windows that opened. The bathroom also had a small window that could be opened for ventilation. The water was nice & warm & the shower pressure was great. The only thing that I noticed was that the water accumulated in the bottom of the tub when I would shower & was slow to drain but the drain probably just needed to be cleaned out properly. The room had a door that locked and we were issued a real room key-which I liked. The room also had a screen door on it which was a great touch. The room was nice & if I had any real complaints it would just be that the walls were a bit thin. I could hear people talking and coughing so that was a bit distracting. The maid service was good. We had plenty of fresh towels & toiletries brought to us daily. The grounds of the property are beautiful. It’s very quaint & gives off a cozy vibe. There are two areas under which to sit that have a fire pit to warm yourself & those are very nice areas. The owners have done a very good job of decorating and maintaining the aesthetic of the grounds and the inn itself. Plus the price is quite affordable in comparison to other places in the area and I have stayed at most of them so I know. I love that this inn is located right off of Main Street and so you are within walking distance to the shops and restaurants in the area. The parking for the inn is easy- you just pull your vehicle up to the space in front of your room & you’re there! And if you are like me & my hubby, we tend to spend more time walking than driving so we don’t have to move our car very much. Also, they have a beautiful log cabin on the property which is a bit more pricey than the rooms at the inn but very cute & can be rented as well. All in all, I say go for it! But you will have to call to make your reservation. They do things here the old fashioned way- by actually speaking to their customers & that is just how I like it! Happy Travels!

Very nice stay for, what is essentially a motel. They've done a good job with the rooms which are well maintained, clean, and have all the amenities you would expect. The gardens are the really impressive part.

My husband and I saw this place on a spur of the moment getaway. We were greeted warmly and provided a king room for an affordable, fair price. The room was adorable with antiques. The bed was extremely comfortable. I am a very picky person when it comes to cleanliness, and I'm happy to say this room was immaculate! The quiet atmosphere yet conviently located inn is charming..complete with the fountain on the lovely landscaped porch. We can't wait to return!

We did not stay here, we stayed next door - but I asked permission to tour the breathtaking garden around the log cabin on the grounds and was lucky enough to meet the owner. We started talking and it felt like I was talking to an old friend. And to find out the cabin is rentable? :-O. The garden, planted by her mother, is a little secret gem in this quaint town. I love it’s a family-owned hotel and you can tell by the care of details, we can’t wait to come back and stay here and I encourage everyone to.

We've stayed here several times, and won't go anywhere else. While you can walk to everything, the inn is quiet with some private places to sit. I've never seen any children, which makes my husband and me happy! The family who own and run it are gracious and hospitable, but take care not to be intrusive. The gardens are just beautiful, the rooms are clean and well cared for, and the morning coffee on the porch couldn't be nicer. I recommend highly!

Very nice place to stay. The room was clean. Was able to raise the windows and let the cool air in. Front door has a screen door. Nice fire pit to sit around and relax.

Husband and I stayed in the cabin. Cute and extremely clean with gorgeous grounds.
Even though right on Main Street, felt like we were in the country. The landscaping of the property is exceptional. We will stay there again when we go back to Blowing Rock!!

We quite enjoyed our time here. It is reminiscent of the old motor hotels that you would see beside the interstates. The room of course is dated, but that adds to its charm. It is in good repair and clean. The front desk clerk was very friendly. The real standout feature was the surrounding Gardens. Numerous areas to sit. Is quite intimate with a log cabin featured in the middle of the grounds. Numerous unique lighting setups. Fresh coffee in the mornings. My wife states it is likely one of her favorite hotels that she stayed in. To add even more it was within walking distance of downtown Blowing Rock

Great place to stay while motorcycling the Blue Ridge Parkway. They set towels out every morning to wipe down the bikes. The grounds and facilities are well taken care of. The ownership really cares about the inn and goes the extra mile to make sure you enjoy your stay. Already planning our next trip and we'll definitely be staying here again.

Not like it used to be since has new owners. We will not stay there again. No coffee in the morning said it was due to health department. Bull. No one wanted to be there before 9:30 am. No microwave and popcorn outside. Once again due to health department. Called me in the afternoon and asked if I needed towels or coffee for the room. Go check dummies. Unfriendly staff and a excuse for everything. Talked to two other people while we there and they said they would not come back. Total letdown with new owners. Good luck you will really need to survive.

What a beautiful place to stay. The garden and landscaping is gorgeous. I could just sit and relax and look at all of the beautiful plants, flowers, and whimsical items placed throughout the property. The rooms are clean and comfortable and nicely decorated. This is my favorite place to stay in Blowing Rock.

A very nice and relaxing place. Beautiful flowers all around the motel. They have a 2 covered areas to sit and enjoy reading. The one closest to the office has coffee and small muffins of all kinds in the morning. And popcorn the rest of the day. They have a waterfall and background music at a very low volume. I can spend the whole day just sitting there reading.

We had a wonderful time here. The staff is Great and Helpful and the room was so clean and the towels were freshly laundered. Also, they gave me a flower for Mother’s Day. I would highly recommend this motel!!
