BLU Beach Bar & Grill

This is a hotel restaurant right on the beach so the view is amazing. There has been a menu change and one of my favorites is gone, but my salmon salad was very good. The vibe is modern and clean, and the service was excellent. I sat indoors so I could work a bit. In the past, have also enjoyed the outdoor bar area with beach access (you place your order at bar), and like that too. I recommend it!

I love this place! For starters it's inside the hotel The Tides. The staff is always super friendly. The food here is always better than you would expect, actually better than most stand alone restaurants period. I would visit just to go eat here. If you sit outside you are next to the pier looking out over the beach and the ocean. I'm always impressed by the quality of the food here. And not to forget the prices are actually pretty good. I definitely recommend. I will be back for sure, even if it's just a day trip for the food and the scenery.

Ate here for dinner our first night and it was delicious and hit the spot after our long drive. Came back for breakfast each day as well as a couple lunches and each time it was on point. No issues with the food and the staff stayed on top of everything and were tremendously helpful. Had room service one night, and it was super quick and helped with our overly dramatic "starving" child who ate just two hours prior but was soooo hungry 😆 thanks for all you do!

Delicious meals, excellent service, oceanfront... All we need is a hot tub and I will be a lifetime return customer. Thank you for the incredible hospitality from ALL the hotel staff.

Sat outside on the patio with a perfect view of the beach and pier! The food was delicious and the service was excellent! The staff was extra friendly and made our experience outstanding!

Food & drinks were great. Our waitress was a little scatterbrained, but the experience was still positive even after she ruined my birthday surprise 🤣🤣 we all had a good laugh and the staff was very nice.

My husband and I came on a Friday in June and we had a wonderful experience! The hostess was Rachel and our waitress was Brittany and they were fantastic! We both had the beef tenderloin with gnocchi and it was one of the best dishes we ever had. The beef was so tender and the sauce was delicious. Would definitely recommend. For dessert we had some chocolate dessert and it was amazing.

What more can be said? Beach view and the Rib Eye I ate was cooked to perfection!

Literally a couple steps off the beach, this place serves great signature frozen drinks. And the view of beach and ocean make it even better. Try their food for lunch or an afternoon snack and then head back out to the beach.

We had a delicious meal and great service from Mia. She was wonderful and the whole staff was accommodating. It was breezy outside and a little chilly and they moved the patio heater closer to our table so we would be comfortable. Would definitely come back!

Setting on the beach having a beer and wings it doesn't ger any better. The service was top notch and we plan on returning.

We visited Blu Beach Bar & Grill while we were in Folly Beach during this winter and couldn’t have found better choice. Folks there were super friendly and the place was empty because we arrived when the restaurant opened, which was great for us. Savored tasty dishes and enjoyed the beautiful view of Folly Beach.

This is the restaurant in the Tides Hotel. The service was spot on, attentive and polite. Nice choices on the menu. Food came out in a timely manner. We don’t have one complaint. We thoroughly enjoyed our last night here at the hotel.

Hosted a small group holiday party at BLU and had a great experience! Araz and Cheryl were incredibly accommodating and patient with our large group and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. Such a pretty space and great atmosphere, food, and drinks. Highly recommend!

We came to town for our anniversary.
This is the restaurant we chose for our anniversary dinner.
We had requested specific seating with our reservation but they could not accommodate as originally promised.

This was because a private party that was supposed to have ended a half hour before did not leave on time. . .

So why did I give five stars?

(1) knowing what happened with the private party they went out of their way to accommodate us and make sure we were happy and comfortable with the subsequent seating.
After everything was handled, the manager came by personally to make sure that everything was okay and to ask if he could do anything else to make it better.
(2) the food was truly phenomenal.
My wife says this was her favorite meal on our whole trip.

I never expect anybody to be perfect.
It's great when they are, but we are all human. In my mind, the best way to judge a business is, when there is a problem, how do they handle it and what do they do to make things right.
To that end, the staff and manager here did a phenomenal job.

Pictures were taken just after we started. . . We had each already had a bite before we remembered to take pictures. . . But the presentation was so good we still wanted to take the pictures.

Fantastic. Hannah was our server and was a delight. She took care of us perfectly. Tried a few drinks and all were good, but the Mai Tai is the best I have had in Charleston, hands down. Truffle potatoes with gouda cheese were great. The Beef tenderloin skewers were tender and perfect. The Lobster/crab shells and cheese was amazing. The patio view was gorgeous and only about 50 yards from the ocean. Amazing experience and definitely a must in Folly Beach!

Enjoyed eating dinner here. Started with the fried avacado, was not heavily breaded, had flavor of perfection very crisp fry layer preserving original flavors of the avocado to the salsa and jalapeño aioli. Shrimps cooked perfectly atop. amazing combination of flavors brought together. Dinner I had scallops over risotto the scallops were cooked perfect and the whole dish was full of flavor.

The staff was very friendly and attentive Brittany our server was amazing she took our order and got our food right out. The manager Araz was amazing he helped with the reservation and also he decorated everything for my fiancee birthday party the food was fresh and delicious I'm looking forward to going to Blu again and recommending to all my friends and family thank you Brittany and Araz for making this experience So amazing
