Holiday Inn Express & Suites Charleston NE Mt Pleasant Us17, an IHG Hotel

• We stayed Sunday night over winter break in December 2023 (Christmas Eve).
• Location was a little annoying as you couldn’t make left turns when leaving. You had to make a right and go down and u-turn.
• Young lady at front desk checking us in went above and beyond. Super nice and answered all our questions. Even offered to open the pool for us even though it was cold outside. In the end our kids decided they didn’t want to go in.
• There was no special perk for being a rewards member like at some other locations.
• Luggage carts only had the small rollie ones so we had to either take 2 carts or make multiple trips.
• We got room 303. It was all the way at the end of the hallway.
• Did notice that one of the elevators had a out of order sign on. It did take a while sometimes as we waited for elevator especially when we were moving luggage in and out.
• Room was decently clean. Did find opened contact packet hiding under all the towels in the bathroom that didn’t belong to us.
• Shower looked amazing, large with glass shower door instead of curtain and interesting drain design, but then very disappointed with the water pressure in the shower head. It’s same as last few Holiday Inn Express & Suites we’ve stayed at but for whatever reason the water pressure was so low it ruined the showering experience. It was acceptable as it got everyone clean. Wife did enjoy the provided makeup towel.
• Breakfast was a little lacking. Not sure if it was because it was Christmas morning or something. There were no biscuits and gravy which is usually available at every other Holiday Inn Express & Suites we’ve been to (over a dozen). They also had a place for the cinnamon buns but there were not available and no yogurts. The milks which are usually individual containers were instead gallon jugs.
• Overall was a good stay and would stay again if we were driving through.

My sister and I went for a long weekend. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The room was nice. The breakfast was the usual breakfast but there was plenty of food and room to sit. The location was perfect for us. We will stay here again.

We only needed to stay one night, but it was marvelous! We rented the king room with bunk beds, and my family of 5 fit super comfortably with plenty of open space to play as well! My toddlers loved having dinner at their little kids table. The beds and pillows were so comfortable, we almost missed breakfast! Which, by the way was super delicious and so clean. The pancake robot machine was so fascinating. The shower fit myself and my 3 tiny dayghters with so much more space inside and it was so nice and comfortable. I loved the complimentary soap and shampoo, they weren’t generic at all! We also took advantage of the on site little store pantry which is well stocked with a variety of snacks. It’s also in a magnificent location! 20 minutes to downtown Charleston, 10 to Walmart! My ONLY complaint is it’s cable only, not a smart tv which is very disappointing when traveling with kids who watch Cocomelon to fall asleep. Overall, I will 100% use this hotel again!! I’m soooooo happy!

My husband and I stayed one night prior to cruising.

I was very impressed with this property. The front desk staff was friendly and kind. We were welcomed with fresh baked cookies and infused water upon arrival.

Our room was ready, clean and very comfortable. The amenities in the bathroom were all Dove products and included shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body lotion, and hand soap.

The room was spacious. There was a comfortable chaise lounge. The bed was very comfortable.

I tend to be very picky when it comes to hotel rooms. Would definitely stay here again!

This location has been the best yet. We've stayed in a few hotels when we come to Charleston but this holiday inn was great. Check in was simple over email and the keys were ready to pick up. The staff was so kind and attentive. The breakfast is good and always hot. We stayed 4nights and 5 days. The breakfast never run out and breakfast staff was wonderful. We will definitely recommend this place and will most likely return! Thanks!

We have stayed at many hotels here in Charleston for vacations. But none of them are as good as this one. On all of our vacations to Charleston, our stay will be at this hotel. The room was great, service great and location great. Thank you for a great home away from home!!!

We stayed here for 4 nights, the room was clean, the service is great.
My only complaint is you can't turn left entering Hwy 17 to get back to Mt PleasantCharleston, but that's just a small inconvenience.

Clean rooms and a nice patio. Breakfast was an awesome plus.

We stayed here for a night with our kids. The Two Queen with extra floor space is a generous size room that could easily accommodate 5. The best thing about staying here was the staff, especially the lady on night shift the night we stayed. My son got sick and we needed to get a new sheet at 2AM. We took the old sheets down stairs and she helped us get a new set. She even included an extra blanket for my son. That level of service goes along away! They have a large variety for breakfast and the hotel is extremely clean. If you are considering staying it, I highly recommend you do.

We stayed here while moving our daughter to Charleston. The staff was great, the location was convenient and there is quick access to a variety of good food and beaches. The only negative is the turkey breakfast sausage.

After searching for the best hotel in all of Charleston area and weeding out the hotels with the most bad reviews… we settled on this one.. and it was PERFECT. Friendly staff, easy parking, safe area, zero bugs/crumbs/stains/mold/plumbing issues… We had a super comfy bed and pillows, black out curtains, cozy lighting, quiet, clean floors, smelled fresh and clean upon entering.. and every amenity needed. Thank you for a fantastic stay.

We made arrangements to stay 3 nights last minute and thankfully they had 2 rooms for 2 families available. Rooms were awesome, no noise, great hot showers, and breakfast was very good, huge selection! Staff was always friendly and helpful! Highly recommended!

I have been very pleased with my stay. The rooms were neat and tidy, the staff has been most helpful and kind, and I have been pleased with the complementary breakfast.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this location. It is the location my wife, and I always prefer to stay at when we visit the Mount Pleasant area. Check in is always super easy here, and the staff are friendly. This location is always quiet, the rooms are always immaculate, the amenities are great, and the breakfast is fresh. But seriously the staff is really what makes this place. The front desk, housekeeping, and the gals that always do breakfast are always the friendliest people. They really make the visits so much more pleasant. This will continue to be our go-to location when in the area.

We had a two nite stay in a suite with accessible showers. My husband was having surgery atvthe hospital 5 minutes away. HiE Mt Pleasant was exceptionally clean. I use the gym always wherever I go and they're always bad. This was flawless and all new. Breakfast was perfectly laid out and loaded with everything you can imagine. Restaurant style seating and the morning news. Room was well done. This IHG HIE made a scary surgery easier to manage. Thank you HiA Mt Pleasant

Excellent! Rooms are clean, beds comfortable, breakfast is actually very good. The cheese omelets and sausage tasty not just edible. Cinnamon rolls are very good, kinda like a crossaint roll. Staff was friendly. No problems at all. If I was being picky the rooms are a tad bit small. We had a king and bunk beds, and proximity was tight. Lighting could be improved in the bedroom area. Overall a great stay. 10/10 would recommend!!

Traveling for work, I frequent hotels across the Souteast. This hotel truly impressed me. It was very clean, nice LARGE room and is next to an amazing restaurant next door. Very nice front desk associates and good free breakfast. I would definitely recommend this property and will stay here again on my next visit.

We came here for our sons baseball tournament at the Shipyard. This place is absolutely awesome! The front desk people greet you and they are super nice. As soon as you walked in it smelled fresh and clean. The rooms were clean, beds and pillows very comfy! The surrounding area is very nice and places are close. I would definitely recommend this place and if in the area again this will be our choice to stay! Thank you for a great stay! God bless!

The hotel was super clean and the rooms were very spacious and the bed was super comfortable. Ample desk space to do work while away, and if you are a shower person, this is the place for you! I really enjoyed our stay here and everyone up front was friendly. We will definitely be returning. I almost forgot, they do still offer a small breakfast in the main lobby even with covid which I thought was a nice touch! I frequently grabbed a bagel or yogurt from the table.

The whole staff were wonderful and very friendly. The rooms were clean and still like new. The hotel from the lobby to the room was contemporary, tasteful and very relaxing. The breakfast bar was very satisfying and delicious. We would definitely come back again.
