Zulu's Board Game Cafe

Love this place SO much! The food is great, the atmosphere is fun, and the staff are amazing. Highly recommend checking it out if you want a fun night out. Weekends can get super packed, especially when they have events so getting there early is a good idea.

We went for a pre-release Magic event, which was my first ever, and first time at this location. The food was delicious, the staff was friendly and helpful, and as a newbie, I felt safe and comfortable playing with a good crowd of people. Highly recommend the Mac and cheese, and Zulu's dipping sauce!

I think we finally found THE place to spend late nights! The ambience is just simple and perfect for a group to gather and focus on learning new games and chilling out. Loved both indoor and outdoor seating. We didn’t get to have food tonight, since the kitchen was closed early. We got a couple of drinks to accommodate us until we learnt one new game and played a couple rounds. It was a fun Friday night at Zulu’s and would love to go back on a regular basis.

I love anywhere that lets you sample the product 1st, and games are no exception! The food is far higher quality than you'd expect with super fun theme names and very fair pricing. Great pet friendly, shaded patio. Kid friendly, but it can be a bit chaotic during frequent hosted tournaments, so be respectful as parents & players!!!

This place is incredible. Food is fantastic, I ordered a shield of sauces for the table and it was a blast trying them all. Their huckleberry cider was one of the best ciders I've had and would come back just for that.
Great selection of games to get, as well as trading cards. I also really appreciate the amount of space, lots of tables but I would recommend seeing if you can reserve a table. This is a great place to spend a few or several hours gaming with friends and not feel rushed to leave.
There was plenty of staff to ask questions about food or games or whatever you need. The atmosphere is immaculate and fully decked out for the holidays.
Not only is it well decorated but the building itself is cozy and pretty spacious and perfect for coming in during the winter season. Can't wait to return and play some more games here 10/10

I have the price range as 30-50$ but I did buy a board game, burger, shield of sauces, a cider, and two extra orders of fries for a group of 5. But I was pleased with the reasonable prices.

Really great board game store. They’ve fixed it up with fun decor and expanded gaming areas. Inside board-gaming tables are a tavern theme. They have a good selection of curated “demo” boardgames. Zulus carries a good selection of boardgames and miniatures / paints. The board game selection is a little limited to make room for more seating / miniatures, but they have the good stuff is available.

The food I’ve had so far is good and very reasonably priced. Zulu’s has 19 different dipping sauces you can order on a platter for tots or fries.

This is my favorite boardgame cafe I've been to so far! Lots of food options and spacious tables. We got dinner there and played Parks. I like that it's free to play the games and they are in great condition. All the games have a complexity rating on them as well to help make a decision for your group. They also seem to run a lot of events. If I lived nearby I would definitely be a regular.

Browsed for some boardgames and tried out their food. The place is open seating unless reserved by someone, so when you order food/pay let them know what area you'll be in, they bring the food to you. Also after you're done eating, pick up after yourself, they have a tray to drop off the plates in all the areas and a trash bin next to it. It was packed when I went and the table available had the previous people's plates on it. The food was great! Tried the Dragonborn Burger, Tasha's Mac n Cheese with added hydra strips (chicken tenders), and Reanimate Bread. They're nice portions to fill you up. I ordered tots with my burger and they were nicely seasoned and crispy, usually when I get tots they're not that great and soggy. My girlfriend and I left Zulu's very full and wish we could eat more of their great food!

They had a shield of sauces!!! How fun. Bread pudding.. can u say yummy!!! Vegan options -THANK YOU ... dairy isn't a friend for everyone. Super friendly staff who were patient with first timers. Had the traditional d&d stuff and so much more... We played a fun card game off the many many shelves of games. Highly recommend for all ages!!!

A premier local board game store. It’s clear management loves games and wants to create that elusive "3rd place". It's organic growth can be felt when you walk in, defo adventurer inn vibes, solid food, and great friendly service. I've participated in several of the weekly tournaments and they are well run, fun, and active. Great beer list, great times, a true treasure to hold.

Good food, good service, but the reason you go is to play or buy games! The map in the picture shows a separate place they have open for reserving rooms, will update with pics of that when we go. I go with a dad's group to play DnD every week and always get the Roc Burger (which is awesome) with a Ranger salad (sub chopped tomatoes and ranch). Rooms downstairs and in the separate building are reserveable. There are 4 non-gender-specific bathrooms which is great too.

All in all a great place to go, play, browse, and eat.

My friends and I had a great time here! We do want there to be more games to play. But it’s also nice to know that we can bring our own from home as well. Such a great atmosphere. We love the place. We will be returning!

Really cool atmosphere I love the theme decor and the beverages are great. I've mainly gone there to play games with friends so I can't comment on the food but it's just kind of a fun place to walk into. The outside deck is cool too.

Everything about Zulu's is great! The food and drinks are all good, and the sauces especially. Bugbear is my favorite. Also love how they leaned in to the theme, they really did it right!

Fun place to spend the evening! The staff are all so friendly. This place has the best vibes. I love how affordable it is compared to other board game cafes I have visited. The decorations really enhance the experience.

I absolutely adore this place! Great food on a witty menu, hilarious employees, the outside looks like a castle, seating inside and outside, local beers and ciders on tap, games, cards, and dice for sale, etc. The perfect place for nerding out! They’ve put so much thought into all aspects of this business and I’d be here all the time if I lived closer.

This place exceeded my expectations. I haven't had that much fun with a board game for years. Great food, great people to be around, awesome location, I went home that day and created a Dungeons and Dragons account and a character, bravo Zulu's board and games. You are doing it right.

Loved the collection of board games and vibe of this place. You can buy or enjoy some open games here. Good place to hangout with friends or family.
Food was also good. We ordered potato tots and fries.
This place closes at 8PM on Sundays. So if you want to enjoy some games go there in the afternoon.

Food is pretty good, smash burger style, with thin patties, but they have a ton of different sauces to try from which is what makes their menu shine. I give it 85 sizzling cows out of 100. The place like the name implies have tons of board games and cards, they also host a ton of events. Even if you're not into the games, the food is still worth a it!

Great place, nice people! Can't wait to go back. Spent all night beating my husband at Everdell and decided we need that game haha!
