Cortez Library

Wow, the library is simply amazing! They have an incredible selection of books, and the library staff is just awesome. You'll love spending time here!

Library staff are so very helpful and nice. I enjoy going to the library. I like it that it's quite and not alot of people are there. I remember when it took an hour or longer wait to use the computer. I was able to get all my paper work done for my ice cream truck. Thanks

Nice, helpful librarians! Always enjoy their seasonal selections up front. I love that I can always find a study nook to work in. They have plenty of fun activities. Voting lines have always been a quick experience for me.

All the ladies that were working here today were super nice and helpful. I walked in yesterday to make copies for my dad and was asked if I had a library card. I said my dad had one but I had to go outside and get it. They told me that I can just get a temp card to make copies which made it so easy to do so I didn’t have to go back out to the car. Thanks ladies!!

The voting process here was amazing 👏 everyone did a wonderful job. I was in and out on less than 5 minutes! Great job to all who worked this voting station after hours on 10/29/2020! Keep up the great work!

I go here all the time and the librarians are so nice! Picking up a hold, browsing the DVDs, even paying off a fine is quick and easy. It's always clean and quiet, and they offer fantastic clubs and services for children (read to a dog? Yes please!) and to the elderly (ESL classes on Saturdays!) This is my new favorite library in the city!

Best library iv ever been too. Clean, organized. Even have activities for the little ones. The staff are great! Always willing and ready to help with anything

I live far from the city so I go online to mysapl and have books/ comics and blu ray movies delivered from other San Antonio public libraries directly to this one and I really appreciate everyone involved in the process to make that happen. San Antonio public library employees put in that work thank you all❤

Wonderful day at Cortez library. We enjoyed Nature-Smart day at Cortez, had lots of fun family activities along with educational information and goodies for the kids. They even gave us a awesome oak shade tree 🌳 and wild flowers 💐 (seeds) to plant in our own yard... Oh yeah, did i forget to mention the hissing cockroaches. 😨 these kids are braver then me.....NO WAY!

I loved wandering the aisles of books looking to have something peak my interest miss it , the staff at Cortez is wonderful very helpful. I've been going to this particular library for many years now, and I'm looking forward to getting back to wandering once again, post- pandemic.

Despite the library being closed due to covid 19, they're doing a great job making it easy to access book contact free. All you have to do is order on the SAPL app and have them sent their, give them a call when you're coming, and pick them up outside the door. Very happy to be able to enjoy reading during a time where entertainment is so limited !

Tons of resources and equipment for you to use. Wifi, Computers, printers, fax, DVD's, blu-ray, magazines and book. This is a great place to visit and to use public access to media.

Very nice, quiet, cozy, & tidy/immaculately-kept, even the bathrooms!🙂

Early voted today and it was seamless. Ample parking, 207 the election volunteers were courteous and helpful. Was in and out in about 15 minutes

I stop there to eat lunch when working in the area. Quiet and comfortable.
