First time experience was great! I've heard so many good things about the delicious pastries especially the bear crawls! Customer service was good. We also had breakfast. Breakfast was delicious! I had the potato pancakes with applesauce and the biscuits and gravy and a couple pieces of bacon. Both was delicious! I would definitely come back again!

1st time visit, reminded me of a old Germany Cafe of my time spent overseas. Great location, very friendly staff, delicious food. Took home some Bakery items to enjoy later an still taste like the came out the oven. A lot to choose from on the menu. Large eating area for big parties or a relaxing date. Offer military discount.

Great selection on pastries, tried the Danish and pretzels, they were both amazing, very friendly service, parking is limited, very spacious area and they do have bathrooms

Such a cute and comfy place with nice people! The food was enjoyable and tasty also. They have a bakery inside with a lot of great options for bread, cakes, and pastries! I would definitely give this place a try whether it’s to sit down and eat or to grab some baked goods to go!

As soon as you walk through the door, the smell of the bakery absolutely sweeps you away. But be careful, if you stay in here too long, you’ll go home smelling like baked goods!

The menu is the perfect size, with an awesome choice of sandwiches, wraps, soups & salads, and even authentic German items (I recommend trying the Reuben and the chicken salad sandwich). All of the breads for the sandwiches are made in house, as well as the dressings and mustards, and they are absolutely delicious! 😋

The bakery counter has a large selection of pastries, authentic German Brötchen, kolaches, pretzels, cakes, and different types of breads (like German ryes and sanfran sourdough -my favorite-).

They also make awesome signature sodas, like lavender lemonade and many others.! Uwes bakery and deli has something for everyone. Highly recommend if you’re just in town for vacation or if you’re looking for a good bakery/ sandwich shop to visit often.

Peaches & cream danish, bear claws, and warm pretzels were delicious with good coffee. Only needed a little butter for the pretzel!

My husband and I had lunch here while in town. The service was great and the food was delicious! I had the quiche and strawberry salad-I would definitely order again. My husband had a Reuben sandwich which he really enjoyed. We also bought some pastries to take home for breakfast.

Wide variety of sandwich choices. The Cuban is good and actually enough for two. Highly recommend the homemade meatloaf sandwich. Thick and delicious. The green salad is Very fresh. The cucumber salad is not only fresh but cool and refreshing. Would be an excellent choice on a warm day. Besides the normal beverage choices, a nice selection specialty sodas are offered. If you like pina coladas definitely suggest the pina colada soda, Sprite coconut and pineapple, Delicious !! Lunch is from 11am to 2pm, so some things run short during late lunch and after, so better to go earlier than later to make sure all the sides and sodas are available. The breads and pastries are baked in house fresh each day and very delicious

I wish I could give Uwe's seven stars. Cool atmosphere, friendly staff, and now I'll list all the stuff I ate there today that I would give five stars:
Sante Fe club with the spicy aioli
Cuban sandwich
Anything at all on the pretzel roll
Potato soup (better than homemade)
Potato salad (best I've ever had)
Garden salad
Thuringer sausage (best I've ever tasted)
Bear claws (I DONT EVEN LIKE BEAR CLAWS but these... Well.. I left with 5 of them, I'm just saying)
Cinnamon rolls

I only wish I was going back tomorrow to try more of their amazing food. Portion sizes are generous and prices are so low.

UWE's Bakery & Deli.. What else can be said. First, I will be honest and mention that I have not eaten at or partaken in the "Deli" side of things, I will say the breads look and smell amazing. The service has always been great even through COVID, I stop in every time I go through New Braunfels, and get my mom a slice of German Chocolate Cake (Its the best in the area), as I will have to find a new mom because my mom will disown me if I don't. I have other pastries there and all are quite good.

This is the best bratwurst my wife and I have ever had. Tons of flavor, definitely made fresh. The saurkraut is amazing, pretzel bun was nice and brown, and they use nice mustard. Brat Jesus must make these himself.

I like this bakery store, it is wide open, with all the fresh and yummy bread and pastry. Breakfast was very good and portion is generous. Price is fair.

Loved the eggs Benedict sandwich! Had the eggs over easy with white bread, turned out just the way I expected. Like the house brewed coffee too.

Really good pretzels OMG..Perfect.. pastries are delicious and best in the little town we explored all the bakeries..we are not traditional so when we look for German cuisine my hubby is from Germany..he is a tough critic..this bakery b

Authentic German Bakerie, Alles gute! This is the place to go.....Get your quick fix of the German bakery finest of the small village feel. Highly recommend.
