Gateway Park

I was introduced to this park from a good friend. We met up and took our puppies/dogs to the doggy park. Surprisingly it was a beautiful sunny January day. The only downside was the water fountain was not turned on. Luckily we had water for our fur babies just in case. It was a beautiful park and had many different sections, softball park, doggy park, kids play area, etc. We will most definitely return especially when the weather is more permitting.

Wonderful, very large park. Hike and bike trail goes for miles, through natural areas, but is all paved. And it connects to Trinity Trail hike and bike trails, so you can go even further. Park has baseball fields, two large dog parks (for smaller dogs and for large dogs), soccer fields, picnic areas, and lots of porta-potties. Free parking, but not a lot of it near the soccer fields, so people park along the road when full.

It was the variety of beverages! Great atmosphere, band was great and you could hear the music!

Great mtb trails! If you ride the west side, don't forget to go across the bridge to the east side for bigger climbs and descents, as well as some good jumps

Been coming here for years! One of the best dog parks you can go to! There's beautiful trails that you can walk your dog on, as well as picnic benches! Some baseball fields, a children's park. Never had my car broke into the whole 19 years I've been coming here, no matter the time of day. Keep you doors locked and nice things out of sight would be my guess.😉

My little dog is skiddish with people and dogs, now she is a little better, love taking her there except on Sundays, people that are playing or watching soccer is parked all along the street and leaving only one lane to get through even though it has signs that has No parking.

This is a wonderful park and and really nice to walk along. It is free to enjoy. I just wish people would not pollute nature and the water. I highly recommend.

Great bike trials for long technical routes or party looping jumps.
Parking is easy. FWMBA run.

Love taking my dog here to practice the agility course! Had a few scuffles with some other untrained dogs, but Archer is OK. The walking path hasn't been maintained in a while.

One of my top favorite MTB trails around DFW. Love the challenging East side and the wooden features on the West side. Also lots of flowy sections! You can tell the people working on the trail development have put a ton of effort. Check it out, won't disappoint!

Gateway Park is one if not the best in the area ! Great for dogs , family and friends. Lots to do especially if you love the outdoors! My dog loves it there we have been on trails and love the dog park.

Always have fun here I love coming to the spot for the bike trails are it's a beautiful view of the sunset and the sunrise here

I do believe you need a bigger sign for small dogs and bigger my boxer dachshund mix is 35 lbs of pure muscle and holds her own with her german shepherd sister needing her for moral support 🤣 but I saw a woman bringing her 1 to maybe 2lb dogs in the large dog area getting upset when a large dog was playing normal but to rough for her breeds. I know it's common sense but some people are dense.

DGC is awesome, wide variety of shots. Well maintained, and signage is great. In the top 5 of my list.

I ride the bike trail, play softball, and ride my road bicycle through. I love this park.

Great place to bike. FWMBA does great job of maintaining the trail and the bikers and the frisbee golf people keep the riff raff at bay. It seems to get better and better every year.

Large park with lots to offer. Be sure to check out the mountain biking trails!

What an awesome idea for a park! Mountain bike trails and disc golf... I'm in heaven. The map for disc golf was a little off and some of the holes had to find. Thanks to the locals for giving guidance. Great concept, wish we could do this in san diego!

It's a really nice park . I love the walking trails and the view of the river. Only thing I don't like is the fact that their is always it seems guys cruising for gay hookups. I've been been approached while fishing the river . It's dangerous and needs to be stopped
