Sherwood Pediatric Dentistry

I really appreciate Sherwood’s hours it is so nice getting appointments at the very beginning or very end of the day to minimize missing school. Sherwood dentists & hygienists are very thorough when explaining issues. The whole experience is pleasant, efficient yet informative. The prizes at the end are what my kids like!

We've been coming here since my daughter was 2 and she's now 16. Couldn't image going anywhere else! Dr. Sherwood and his team and the best.

We love Dr.Sherwood. He has been our families dentist for over 18 years. He and his staff are very professional, friendly and caring.

Everything at Sherwood Pediatric Dentistry is "top notch". The administrative team sets the bar high for all other medical administrative staff that I encounter - none comes close to their efficiency, kindness, calmness, and organization. Dr. Sherwood and his medical staff create an atmosphere of care, capability, kindness, security and no shame.

We found them because of complex dental issues with my then 4 yr old who had sensory issues. There we no problems or issues with any of the procedures needed.

My children love going to the dentist at least twice a year. I cannot recommend this practice enough!

My son broke his front tooth while on vacation with his grandparents. I called and was able to get an appointment for the next day. Dr. Sherwood and his team were amazing at working with me from across the country to get everything taken care of! Everyone we encountered from the office was extremely friendly and empathetic. The work done to restore his front tooth was immaculate! Highly recommend!

Dr Sherwood and his staff have cared for my boys' teeth for four years. I just got off the phone with them (I was rescheduling an appointment) and thought, I should hop over to google and write a review! Dr Sherwood is loving and kind, and my boys immediately respond to his warm demeanor. His hygienists are exactly the same way too. Very loving and kind. They make the whole office visit fun, whether we're doing cleanings or bigger dental work. The office staff and billing manager have gone out of their way several times to accommodate and work with our sometimes tight schedules and to answer my insurance questions. There are several outstanding pediatric dentists in town and I'm sure we would be happy at each of them, but we love, love, love Sherwood and crew!

My kids love going to the dentist! Dr. Sherwood takes his time to explain my children's medical conditions, give advice on how to maintain long-term good dental care, and is very patient with a wiggly child. Highly recommend bringing your children here. Felt very safe during COVID with everyone wearing masks, HEPA filters and social distancing of patients.

My kids LOVE going to the dentist with Dr. Sherwood. He has a lot of patience, his staff is very nice and always makes the kids feel very welcome and comfortable. I HIGHLY recommend him!

Dr. Sherwood and team are wonderful! The facilities are very nice, but it is the expertise, professionalism, and kindness of the team that we love!

My kids love Dr. Sherwood and his whole office. We've been going there for 7 years (since my 10 year old had her first appointment) and my children both look forward to their dentist visits tremendously.

I don't write very many Google reviews, but I wanted to say that my experience has been very different than some of the reviews above me. I've had good experiences with the staff. And there are a couple of complaints above that I'd like to address.

Very specifically, you can be with your kids while they are getting a cleaning. It's only been in the last two visits that my 7 year old was ready to go in by herself, and I was with her every time until then. The hygienists were great with this. In fact, they let both of us come back and watch the older girl get her teeth cleaned to help my younger daughter not be anxious on her first visit.

They do suggest letting kids go on their own, because it builds their relationship with the kids and sends the message that they should take charge of their own teeth, not just rely on their parents to tell them when to do it. I totally support this.

Also, I have refused X-rays and they followed my wishes. They did have discussions with me about why I was refusing them so I could make an intelligent choice, but they have never done anything to my kids' teeth that I have not agreed to.

I will even say, they've avoided doing extra things to my kids' teeth. One of my daughters was having early signs of a cavity. Instead of putting a filling in a baby tooth, they gave us a special toothpaste that has helped keep it from growing into a problem. They try to be as non-invasive as possible in the work that they do and think about how to keep teeth healthy into adulthood.

Generally, I've found that everyone in the office has been pretty sensitive to my kids' needs. And, in the end, my kids are excited about going to the dentist. I think that's worth posting about.

My son had extra-sensitivity in one of his teeth, Dr. Sherwood was able to make time to see him the same day. You normally don't get this great service anywhere else. Best Pediatric Dentistry, we have been with Dr. Sherwood for more than a decade, it is almost sad that the kids (now 14 and 16) are growing out of Pediatric Dentistry.

Dr. Sherwood and his staff are wonderful! They know what they are doing, they are so helpful and patient, the office is well-run, and Dr. Sherwood has amazing bedside manner. They are super busy because of this, but they do their best to set an appt for you in a timely manner.

These reviews shock me. We have had nothing but positive experiences with Dr Sherwood and his staff. They have gone out of their way to be accommodating to schedules and compassionate and patient with my kids.

Fantastic experience for my anxious 4 year old. Super kind and gentle, and a fun office environment as well.

My son has been receiving dental care from Dr. Sherwood for many years. He and his staff are trustworthy and have ALWAYS taken such good care of Jack.

They are just amazing with special needs children. Dr. Sherwood goes above and beyond to be accomodating. So thankful to have their support.
