Stunning views of Mt Rainer reflected off the lake. Beautiful for sunset. Very busy spot. If you aren't already in the park, expect a long line of cars for entry (possibly up to 3 hours!). Take the trail around the lake to escape the crowds and enjoy beautiful views.

Reflection Lake offers a mystical experience for those fortunate enough to witness its calm, mirror-like waters capturing the imposing elegance of Mount Rainier. The lake, nestled amidst nature’s abundant splendor, provides an ethereal view, making every visit a memorable photographic opportunity. However, patience and a dash of luck are your companions, as the lake’s tranquil waters revealing the iconic reflection are not a daily guarantee. This natural gem, a blend of elusive grace and scenic beauty, warrants a visit for both the ardent nature enthusiast and the casual visitor.

One of the must-visit attractions in Mount Rainier National Park is Reflection Lake. You simply cannot miss it be it a sunny day or not. Thankfully the day we visited was fully shiny and bright, hence we could see the reflection. It certainly looks out of the books, it's really hard to believe that something could be so picturesque. The view reminded me of many pictures and the fridge magnets that I had seen with the reflection lake's picture on them. There are a couple of benches to sit and enjoy the view. However, when we visited the area was under maintenance so you could not touch the water or go into it. Besides that, you will still enjoy the view as you see the shadow move from left to right as the day progresses.

he Reflection Lakes en route to Mount Rainier in Washington State are a serene and easily accessible stop that adds extra beauty to your journey. In August 2023, I was captivated by the calm waters reflecting Mount Rainier, creating a picture-perfect scene for photographers and nature lovers. Wildlife sightings are a bonus, and the convenience of a quick stop makes it ideal for all travelers. Just be prepared for changing weather conditions. In summary, Reflection Lakes are a must-visit spot on your way to Mount Rainier, offering a tranquil and memorable pause in the Pacific Northwest's natural beauty.

Must visit spot in Mt. Rainier NP. Visited on a sunny day on our way to Paradise but it was little windy and didn’t see the reflection.

Nice place to have a short walk, very peaceful and beautiful spot. Parking is limited along the roadside.

This is one of the best places in the Mount Rainier National Park.

Every time we go to the Mount Rainier, we visit the Reflection Lake.

Officers are very polite and helpful as always. They recommended best places to take pictures and watch the mount.

I really suggest people going there and watching this nature beauty.

Beautiful place, definitely worth stopping by. But be careful, we encountered a bear right by the sidewalk where everyone was. Luckily the bear wasn’t aggressive or worried about all the people taking pictures and video but still should be aware of your surroundings. And you won’t be able to see much of a reflection if the sun and the weather is not right.

When in Ranier...eat the cherries!!
Reflection Lake is a great hike. We arrived in the morning to complete a 6 mile hike up the Lake trail, stopped at the Visitor Center, up and across Skyline Trail and down Manzama Ridge back to Reflect Lake. We took our time enjoying the views and wildlife.

I didn't see the "reflection" because there was wind. However, it's still beautiful. The water was transparent. Nice area to take pictures.

Caught the tailend of sunrise for some absolutely gorgeous shots of Rainier on the lake's surface! We found the best shots were on the West side of the lake in the AM. Fewer ripples and a clear shot of the peak!

Still frozen this time of the year, but the thin ice, the melting lake created beautiful pockets of turquoise colors, very surreal and beautiful. Some reflection from the pool of molten water.

A must see if you visit the park!!! A fair amount of parking spots in front of a nice sidewalk that leads to one set of stairs down to the dirt trail. You can walk left or right for gorgeous views from all angles… if you visit before the leaves fall, the reflection may not be as good.

This place will forever stay in my memories of my trip to Seattle. You get the best view of Mt. Rainier from here. Its calm and peaceful and the view of the reflection of the white majestic snow clad mountains over the lake makes you never leave this place.

Beautiful lake. Please only walk on trail and protect this fragile area. If you are here on a calm day, you should be able to see mt rainier's reflection here.

Peaceful lakefront with beautiful view of the mountain. A nice trail goes around approximately half of the lake with a few benches here and there. Access would be challenging for a person with limited ability to hike. Once down to the lake, everything is pretty flat but there is a short, yet fairly steep, few steps to get up or down from the road. Parking is free but can be limited during peak hours on a nice day.
