My husband Wayde had his entire shoulder replaced at UT Health East Texas by Dr DeVinney and at the main hospital. It was an amazing experience and he was able to go home with home care as well. He recovered in record time and for the first time in 5 years, he has no pain! Every point of contact with every employee at UTHET was so comforting and we felt like he had the best care he could have received from any hospital in the country and not just East Texas.

Was not crowded. Was in ER for about 6 hours...which isn't too bad for ERs. Had labs run & sonogram done. In lots of pain. I did get 1 pain pill, but it ran.out before I left. Had 3 doctors visit & felt they knew what they were explaining. Told me in layman's terms. Overall, good experience.

My son was still ill after being released from a different hospital that later refused to treat him further. After his condition got progressively worse, I took him here instead. I have to say that the overall experience was outstanding. Every member of staff was caring & genuinely wanted to help us. They did a procedure in the ER that made my son feel drastically better before we left. The attending Dr even called afterwards to check on his progress. I am very thankful they were there to provide the care he needed!

We spent more than half the day here, between two appointments and labs. We were greeted often in the corridors, and every single person was friendly. I also found the medical professionals my aunt saw to be competent and caring, and more than willing to spend a little time asking probing questions and just making conversation. If I had insurance, I would hie myself up there with a quickness.

UT Health East TX 😊 has been excellent with service and friendly as can be. I'm at ease with every visit, and the doctors I've had so far are great! I really don't mind going, before the coronavirus, and now, as I have a few more future visits. It's all good! Thanks to all involved!! William Morrow

PA Jameson listens and deeply cares for people, always trying to find a way to find the cause and prevent one from going on medication. Very easy to talk with and takes time to completely hear a person. I am so happy to have found him since my regular doctor is retiring.

These folks literally saved my life back in '07 after horrible misdiagnosed congestive heart failure. As an older adult, I've had numerous health issues as time goes by and they have been exemplary in every instance. I live in a medium sized city 90 miles from Tyler, and have told my wife regardless of how serious the situation may be, get me to UTHSC in Tyler, the doctor's here in ********** are a death sentence.

The only hospital in Tyler that I trust. I've had horrible experiences with both Mother Francis and Medical Center in the past. Will drive further to receive better care. ❤ just my opinion.

I went in the emergency room on 05/25/2015. I had a concussion, an was seen very quickly. They were so sweet, not disrespectful in anyway. I usually don't write reviews! This deserved a comment, with a five star rating. I will be doing my business here in, hopeful not all the time...lol

Best emergency room! They are polite, helpful and the wait is not long for non life threatening visits. The clinic is super and all the doctors and nurses are friendly and interested in taking care of you. I love this place!

Only complaint is the guest "bed". Everything else is wonderful from staff eager to be of assistance, wonderful care from Housekeeping, anesthesiologist, surgeon, all nurses and NA, OT, PT, dietary. This review is from an old retired nurse who is difficult to please!

My name is Steve Teague. On January 3rd of this year I came to the emergency room via ambulance, and after about 8 hours was admitted to the hospital. The purpose of this letter is to express my appreciation for the excellent care and attention that I received there.
While in the emergency room I was seen by Dr’s Rodan and Springer, along with others (please excuse any misspellings or miss-identifications as I am going on memory, which due to the nature of my symptoms must be faulty). ALL were caring and attentive to my needs. Dr. Rodan did a spinal tap under the direction of Dr. Springer, which I expected would be painful, but it was not. Good job! My wife, Regina, was also very appreciative of the attitude and help by all of the staff.
I was admitted briefly into the ICU, and Sheila and Jason, I believe, looked after me. Their professional but empathetic care—and response to my attempts at humor—was greatly appreciated.
From there I went to the 5th floor and got more of the same from the nurses and helpers. I did not come into contact with anyone who exhibited a cantankerous bent. My conclusion is that what I experienced from your staff is a systemic blessing and does not represent a superficial veneer. This reflects well on the hiring practices of UTHSC.
I can remember at least 5 Doctors that looked after my needs. As far as I am able to judge, they did an excellent job and I and my family appreciate it very much. Beginning with the Doctors I am listing everyone that I can remember—in no particular order. But for all who I can’t remember I extend the same appreciation. Likewise, for all those that labored in the background in support capacities, I want to say a sincere thank you.
Doctors: Rodan, Springer, Osisibo, and Kanake (There is also one whose name I can’t remember—a blond lady I believe).
Nurses, other attendants and workers: Sheila, Jason, Keandra, Dhing, April, David Williams, Cathy, De De, Dana (food service), and others.
I especially want to thank Reba for her workmanlike efforts and her unfailing humor. She is a Gem. I also want to single out for thanks Lachelle—and the hospital staff who hired her. She does a fine job.
Thank you all so very much.
Steve Teague

Great service and doctors that treat your entire body. Better than Trinity Mother of Francis. You may not know they purchased ETMC a lvl 4 ER. So go there for your emergency medical care, the hospital here is for urgent care and MD Anderson has partnered with them for awesome cancer treatment and reserearch. They cover all cancer research but believe lung is specialty.
