Everyone was kind, friendly, & loving. I was a guest there one Friday night & was treated like family. Lots of churches unfortunately don't always make you feel welcome but Iglesia Bete. es muy different!! I was welcomed & embraced exactly what church should feel like. I'll DEFINITELY be returning!!
***The church service here is in Spanish!!

Honestly one of the finest youth in the world , every one of them with their own back story of how Jesus Christ has changed their lives , they truly make you feel like you’re part of their family

The pastor of this church has an amazing connection to God that you can just feel the moment you get to either hear him preach or have a direct conversation with him, truly a man of the Lord

Spanish service. They went out of there way to Translate. The Holy Spirit was in the place. No doubt about it.

I went to this church at least twice a week for two and a half years between 2004 and 2007. While some were kind and welcoming, many were not. Almost everyone seemed focused on showing they were the most loyal and faithful and touched by God. The only reason I'm even compelled to write this review is that I'm writing an article about theological experiences and I saw the church had a FB listing.

The Pastor at the time was a good man. He was very passionate about his beliefs, as was the father of the family who initially invited me to attend. Many of the people were very judgmental and some (who will be remain nameless) confided in how casual a relationship between a man in his early 20's and a 14 year old girl is. They were very gossipy and when my friend got pregnant out of wedlock, they had to leave the church because rumors started about her and her family.

They had an event where the congregation was invited to attend a concert at a church in Oklahoma. I went on one of the handful of shuttles they took and it was a decent experience, but some of the youth made me miserable for being the only white guy in a latino church. This was a sentiment that existed in many in the denomination (which is probably why mostly nobody was welcoming) as I can recount a visitor from South America asking one of the other congregants "you let white people in here?!"

Despite his decent attitude and passions, the pastor was never available to speak with, even when he offered an open door policy. I had many questions that he wasn't available to answer.

The event that made me leave was in 2007, my brother died and I took a couple months considering my faith and where I stood in life. Nobody from this church reached out. Nobody from this church ever asked why I wasn't there. I returned hoping to find that spark that drove me to look for a god, and I was welcomed by these people for the first time ever.

Unfortunately, it was a first time welcome. Many of them had no clue who I was, even people I held conversations with. I sat among them and did my best to reach out to people who mostly turned their heads - I did this for two and a half years - and after a couple months away, they didn't even notice me.

These could be very godly people, but the lack of windows, the heavy iron gated fence they put up a couple years after I left, and their need to be seen as holier than thou, it's a sign that god isn't with them.

Hopefully, all those people have left and the place is more welcoming. I can't say that the place is the same as it was when I left almost a decade ago, but I can offer my own personal experiences.
