Scarlet Salon

I went to Scarlet Salon for the first time last week and loved it. I was impressed with Lisa's professionalism and competence. I was in and out in no time and got exactly what I asked for. Honey colored highlights and a new cut and style. She never seemed rushed and took the time to really find out what I wanted. I brought in a pic and although my hair was not as thick as the model she was able to show me how to style it so it almost matched the photo. I've washed and styled it on my own since then and the cut is fabulous! Even when I don't style, it still looks great. I will be back for sure!

Lisa has been cutting and highlighting my hair for six years now. I am always pleased with the results! Every time I get my hair done by her, I receive compliments from my friends, family, co-workers and even strangers. When people ask me where I get my hair done, I refer them to Lisa.
She always knows what to do to my hair – whether it’s cutting it short in a bob (which I feel like an angled bob is her specialty cut!), trimming the split ends of my long hair and adding light layers, giving my dark blonde hair partial or full highlights.
I love that she tells me how I can maintain the new style she has given me without being too pushy with products. I’m able to purchase my Paul Mitchell lavender shampoo and conditioner from her and Argan oil (it smells wonderful and smoothes out frizzies to help me maintain my sleek, straight look) but she doesn’t force it upon me like other salons might do.
My mother, who lives eight hours away, has also had her hair done by Lisa a couple of times when she has been in town. Her hair has looked great and she has been pleased with the results as well.
Lisa will continue to be my stylist until she or I decide to move far, far away, which I don’t think is happening anytime soon!

If you want good blonde highlights and naturally have dark hair this is the place to go!!!! I have already been to four other more expensive salons who have epically failed at getting the blonde highlights to the root and making them look natural. Lisa does a fantastic job at a fraction of the price. I recently relocated here from California where I would easily pay around $200 for the quality of work Lisa does. Lisa only charges $90 and does a phenomenal job!!!!! I will definitely be driving from Dallas to get my hair done here :)

I had an appointment scheduled at 11am. I got there about 10:45 I was not aware of the type of building she was in so when I found her door I knocked not sure if she was in there or not. No one answered so I went around the corner to a bench to wait. At 11 I thought it was weird she had not come out so I went back and knocked again then stood at the door thinking maybe she would come out soon. About five minutes later she walked in the front door kinda looked at me funny and asked if she could help me. I told her I was there for the appointment so she told me it would be a few minutes. She walked in her door and shut it in my face. About 10-15 minutes after my appointment time she called me in. I go in and tell her what I want done, I was going from very long to very short she asked me "are you serious"? When I told her yes she told me that with my thin hair it would not work and I needed to find something else, and if I didn't believe her I could go to someone who would lie to me. Ok...so I told her that is fine give me some ideas that are similar. I found something right away as she was coloring my hair. Even though I has found something else I liked she continued to tell me at least 8 more times that it wouldn't work and why. I got it the first time! When she started coloring my hair I told her I wanted a deep dark red. It came out an auburn color. Not what I wanted at all. Through out the whole appointment she told her about her son in law being a loser and that her daughter needs to come home. It was a little awkward. I will say I did love the cut she gave me but the color was not what I wanted at all. And she just didn't seem very friendly it was just awkward through out the whole thing. I would have gone back for the cut but I was able to get the same thing else where it wasn't worth it for weirdness.
