BossBraidStudio braids are always neat, clean parts, and precise. Every style she’s ever done for me and my daughter has been beautiful work. The braids always last up to 2 months and the environment is relaxing. I am alway very pleased with my service here. She’s on time and your time isn’t shared with other clients. And she gives her full attention to one client at a time. The BossBraidStudio overall experience is an excellent one.

She did a fantastic job on my braids, il continue to keep coming back to her. Punctual and very communicative. Pay no mind to negative reviews, a lot of those people also cancelled their appointments several times prior.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE my hair (smedium Knotless box braids) BB is all about the braids. Her new space is perfect fits her just right. I know she got it with us clients in mind. She has ALWAYS got me right. My edges be laaaiiiddd. And my braids last! She stays up to date with the latest braid trends Too 😉Worth every penny

As a client for over 15 years BB is the Best Braider In Atx if You Value Your Edges AND Time. There’s no children running around , very open atmosphere and superb work . I can keep any style in for at least 3-4 weeks and I honestly tie my hair up MAYBE 3x a week 😫 As with anything ,READING IS FUNDAMENTAL. Long as you communicate what you’re expecting BEFOREHAND, don’t mind leaving a deposit, and expect to pay for the quality of what will still look good a month or more later with minimum maintenance , I’m sure you’ll love Boss Braids ;(crochet are just as good btw ) Just as much as I do.

I absolutely love my hair. I get so many compliments. Super friendly and they make you feel welcomed. Great communication !

Fraud and Unprofessional -- I wish I could give a negative star

I purchased hair braiding service on cyber monday (they had a $50 discount for braiding but you had to pay fully for the service). My card was charged fully for the service.
I went ahead to book an appointment for the braid (2 months out) because I actually didn't need the braiding but bought the service to support a black business during covid. After one month of waiting for an appointment confirmation,

First red flag: I reached out to Joyce of BossBraid Studio, and she claimed the appointment had to be within a month of purchase, but then I sent her a screenshot of the page when I made my purchase which said I could book an appointment within 3 months after payment. She then said she is sorry as her assistants made a mistake in the service description, and she would go ahead and accept the appointment.

Second red flag: After 2 weeks of waiting, I reached out to Joyce and her assistants again across multiple platforms, letting her know I needed the appointment confirmed as I had to arrange for a nanny for my newborn. Joyce of BossBraid studio responded with "....you have an appointment it's still on my schedule occupying space. You can make me hit accept when you feel...". I responded to say that she shouldn't feel obligated to provide the service but rather refund me. She never responded

I gave her benefit of doubt, and on the day of my appointment, I showed up at her studio at 8am. I called her number since the place wasn't open. She apologized that her assistants were running late, and that there was a mix-up with timing, and that I should wait for an hour, and her assistants will be there at 9am. After 30+ mins of waiting, she sent a text saying she was planning to refund me for the service.

It's been 4 business days, and she hasn't refunded my money. Given the track record, I figured she wouldn't as she is a fraudulent person and liar. This is the worst interaction I have ever had with a business owner. I have gone ahead to report her company as fraudulent.

Unfortunately, my hair appointment never happened. It appears that the most recent reviews is likely accurate.

I made an appointment for 12:00 PM and followed all procedures-- parked my car and sent a text message regarding my arrival (I texted both the owner and the admin). No one ever responded and I waited patiently in my car for almost an hour.

I've had my hair braided successfully by the owner in the past, hence why I booked with the business. I am extremely disappointed in this experience. I am a very patient person, but just like the hair braiders don't like their time waisted, neither do I. My time is truly money and I could have spend that hour waiting doing something else.

This business will no longer receive any of my support but I hope the owner will make this right and return my deposit immediately.

I've been going to this stylist off and on for a few years until this past week. Unfortunately, she no showed for my appointment on Monday 6/14/21 and had her messages on blocked so I could not reach her. I had to dispute my $50 deposit with the bank to get my money bank since she never responded to my email regarding a refund. It was very rude and unprofessional of her to waste my time and to leave me hanging.

This woman is so rude and unprofessional! Tried booking an appointment and she told me to send her pics and she’d give pricing but never got back to me. Her website does not display correctly which is why I texted her in the first place. When I followed up with her she straight dismissed me and blocked me after asking for pricing—seriously!

Don’t bother with her as real professionals don’t block money especially when no one was rude or disrespectful. Avoid at all costs!
