Anise Thai Cuisine

We walked in for lunch and ordered Basil Chicken Rice, Tom Kha and Fried Spring Rolls; what an epicurean delight. The soup was spicy yet fresh and flavorful. The Rice was full of veggies and softly fried chicken and the Spring Rolls were crispy but their delicious contents spicy and full of interesting flavors!
I can not wait to return to sample more of theses delicious meals from the menu!

I called last minute to see if they could accommodate a catering order for 12 people. The staff were great in helping me figure out how much food we needed and offered an accurate quote. They also were careful to ask about certain dietary restrictions when I ordered a vegetarian and vegan option (ie excluded fish sauce from the vegan option). I picked up the food this evening and it was piping hot, fresh, and ready exactly at the arranged pickup time. We had just the right amount of food and it was so good folks were taking containers of leftovers home! This place really made my dinner a success on very short notice.

First time ordering from Anise Thai and I am bummed I’ve waited so long to try them! Definitely my favorite Thai food I’ve had in the greater Seattle area and the staff is so lovely and kind. Their spice level is accurate and that’s a first for me in the area as I have been other places that seem to tone down their spice level. I really recommend trying them out :)

I ordered drunken noodle and pineapple fried rice -- love the drunken noodle! It's flavorful and spicy enough -- I only got 3 spice might challenge 4/5 next time ;). Better than most of the other Thai restaurants where I've ordered drunken noodle before.

Our favorite Thai place. The pad see ew (drunken noodle) are so soft and great tasting. Not crazy salty like other places, nor lacking sauce (too dry). It takes a long time for your food though even when there is no line. But their curry, fried rice, noodles, are all worth it!!

First time here. I hadn't had Pad Thai since our days in Los Angeles and so that was my choice. The dish was superb. My spouse is hard to please, but loved his fried rice dish. We will return often. Great place.

Every time I get food from here it’s delicious and consistent. Their Pad Thai is actually made with tamarind. Everything else I’ve tried on the menu is fabulous. When you order online they send you a text confirm the wait time which is convenient!

This place has the best phad thai I have ever found. They cook it in the more "brown" style that's a little sweeter and way less acidic. Atmosphere is a little odd, like a nice outdoor cafe was surrounded by a room and chandeliers put up. Friendly and staff and sweet old woman who runs the restaurant.

This tiny restaurant was recommended by a neighbor, so i took a chance and brought relatives there. Glad I did! Portions are huge, sharable, flavorful and filled with high-quality ingredients. Will patronize often.

Been here two times now. First was because another restaurant on mercer island was closed, thank goodness. I had the masaman curry and cashew chicken, both were excellent! My only complaint was that the spice was a little less than I expected. Both times have been carry out, but they have a very pleasant interior for eating in.

This is my new go-to thai restaurant on mercer island and the eastside.

My favorite dish is #79 Chiang Mai Noodle. It is a curry coconut soup broth with onions, chicken, lots of long noodles and a heap of deep fried noodles on top which add amazing texture to the eating experience. The curry spices dance on your tongue, it is sooo good. I always have them add veggies for $2 more. Very hearty and filling and great for a winter night when you look for something warm. My usual go to is green curry, and so it was only by chance that I tried this, and loved it!! Now I get it everytime I come here. It has the flavor nuances of a good green curry, but they assured me it was yellow curry. This is all you need to eat for supper, you will be stuffed!

The inside of the restaurant is classy and has a nice ambiance, often playing what sounds like French bistro music. The servers are pretty attentive. The one girl remembers my order everytime i come in! So sweet!

Love this place! Great authentic food and service. Favorites are cashew chicken, beef macadamia, and the lamb. If you have room for dessert the mango sticky rice is wonderful.

Great food and gracious attentive service. A bit pricey but really enjoyed this little spot and will be back.
