Had the distinct pleasure of bringing our old car to the Kranz's when we were in town for the holidays. 3 other mechanics were unable to pinpoint our issue. Needless to say, there were a lot of high and varying quotes for guesses at what we needed done to pass our NY state inspection. These guys systematically identified our issue, fixed it, and walked us through their work before returning the keys and all for an extremely reasonable price! Thank you T&K!!!

These guys are the best around. The most honest and fair mechanics I have met, they have helped me numerous times to navigate car trouble. From brakes to oil changes to a multitude of diagnostics, these guys are fantastic. And, if they think the job is beyond their specific scope/specialty, they will refer you to similarly trustworthy mechanics who will do the job.

I was concerned about finding a reputable, honest place for the servicing of my car when Reber Auto went out of business. I must admit that I was spoiled by years and years of dependable service from Reber. However, on Reber’s recommendation, I booked an appointment at Kranz for an oil change and a filter replacement. Tom seemed honest and forthcoming. I will return without hesitation.

On my way to the dentist in pouring rain , ran over a nail and tire went flat. Stumbled upon Kranz close by . Without an appointment Tom dropped everything and removed the tire , provided an inside patch and was able to repair and save the tire . Avoided a road side call and expensive tire replacement . Price was beyond reasonable and pleasant experience. Was not a client prior , but will be now and I would highly recommend Tom and his team !!

My Subaru developed an exhaust leak (Original components, 8 yrs old). First time going to Kranz Service, I was very impressed as Tom is very knowledgeable. Everything went as planned and I saved much money because they were able to repair the existing exhaust system without replacing parts. I truly appreciate their honesty and service. I'm glad I've found a good mechanic that I can trust. Will definitely return when the need arises.

My car was sitting for a while and when I went to start it, it was completely dead. I did some research on the internet and bought a jump box start kit. It started my vehicle but once I turned it off, it wouldn't restart. I called Kranz and spoke to Ken. He was VERY PATIENT with me and all my questions. He was not rushed to get off the phone which was very impressive to me. He did explain to me it sounded like I needed a new battery. To his point my battery was 7 years old.
I took my car in and was in and out in a half hour. He was very efficient and friendly. He never tried to upsell or say the issue was worst that what it was...like some auto shops like to do.
I would highly recommend Kranz for all your auto needs. I know that I will continue to use them if and when any more issue arise with my vehicle.

I saw the excellent recommendations for Kranz Service on NextDoor and thought I'd try them. They are amazing. I took my Yukon in for A/C service and wheel change. It runs better than ever and they kept me updated on what needed to be done. They even took me home and picked me up. I highly recommend them.

I've often taken my cars to Kranz as they're located blocks from my mother's house (where I used to live). He's always honest, works with you if you're on a budget, and gets the work done in a timely fashion. He keeps you posted throughout the repair, so if something else comes up, you'll know about it before you see an extra charge on the invoice. I'll skip the dealership any day to have Tom fix my car.

I had a flat tire and they quickly found the large nail that had been the issue, patched it, and all while being kind and just above and beyond in service. I highly recommend them!

My wife and I have been taking our cars to Tom Kranz for probably twenty years, and Tom has always properly diagnosed the problem, discussed the repair with us in detail, and helped us weigh our options with costs in mind. We have never had to bring a car back because of faulty service or a misdiagnosed problem - EVER! And that says a lot, as we've taken a lot of cars to him through the years. He and his crew are obviously very talented mechanics. Furthermore, knowing that most people cannot be without their vehicles for very long, Tom gets the job done fast and gets it done right the first time. Great five-star service all around.

My mother lives an hour away from me and when something goes wrong with her car, I tell her to take it to Kranz. Tom and his staff are very professional and take the time to explain everything to my mother who knows nothing about cars. They are very friendly and always keep you up to speed on what they are doing with a quick phone call. Tom has even taken a call from me on occasion to explain what he will be doing to her vehicle. Very fast turnaround and he is willing to go above and beyond to make sure the job is done right. I wouldn't have my mother take her car anywhere else.

Tough to find honest guys, these days. But Kranz is top notch. If your dealer is trying to get you to fix a bunch of stuff, get a second opinion here. Saved my dad thousands.

I felt the service was straightforward and solid. They kept me in the loop and told me about possible whatifs for an older vehicle ahead of time instead of after the fact. Plus ended up not needing the the whatifs so it cost less than what I was prepared for.

Honest, very accurate and knowledgeable. Timely and very reasonably priced. Won't sell you what you don't need. I like old fashioned shops and people that you can actually trust; I wouldn't go anywhere else.

The father and son who fixed my Honda were knowlegable and honest. Good work finished ontime and great prices. They are my new mechanics
