Zaza’s Steakhouse and Italian Eatery

Wonderful atmosphere and the our food was prepared by a real chef, something we have been unable to find of late.
Our server was attentive and knowledgeable, checking often to insure a pleasant dining experience.
It is pricey but worth it. We will be back.

We went for dinner. Food was great. Our server was very professional and very nice.she was efficient and did t rush us. The atmosphere was great. Prices were reasonable. Can’t wait to go back.

Was there for my sister's dinner rehearsal and the staff did an amazing job with keeping up with the tables and keeping the drinks full . Food was amazing and servers did an amazing job so friendly. Kept making sure we were OK and seeing if we needed anything. Great food great environment great place in general. I look forward to coming back.

This is a hidden gem. Cozy little restaurant off the beaten path. We all had something different and it all was amazing. And us Italians in the group who can be a bit picky on sauce, Italian approved!

Food is really good, but to make this restaurant better, some redecorating needs to happen, such as getting rid of the mirrors.
I agree this place smells musty and the Carpet is probably responsible and needs to go.

This is a quaint little restaurant, hidden away from the main roads, in the Fox lake area. A nice place to hang with coworkers, family or friends. The decor is old and needs to be updated. The food is delicious, the service is good, and it's pricey, but it seems to be a Mom and Pop shop, so these days it's expected. I ordered the 12oz. Fillet Mignon (so I could have leftovers for tomorrow), but I'm pretty sure they gave me the 6oz. I love it rare, with a crispy seer, and it was cooked perfectly! Also had a baked potato, and a side salad. Disappointed you only get 1 slice of a cucumber and 1 slice of a tomato on a bed of the white part of the iceberg lettuce, but it was still good. Requested a side of asparagus... cooked well. Everyone in our group loved their meal, and they all looked delicious! I'm surprised it wasn't busier, but it's a Thursday. I expect this place must be much busier on the weekends. 🤔 Because the food is pricey, plan to spend at least $75 per person, with dinner and drinks. I wish I took a picture... as most of the meals looked delicious, but looks like other patrons posted some, so you get the idea. Anyway, I'll be back! Yum!

Oh my god the best chicken Marsala and filet ever. The place isn’t much to look at and has a hint of that grandma smell but some of the best food we’ve ever had. Would go back again and again DONT Hesitate!

My wife and I had dinner and drinks. The bartender and the waiter were very professional. Nice music being played. The chef came out and greeted us. Large portions of Chicken Parm and Pasta. Fresh Dessert. A very nice evening. We will return.

Our waitress was great and patient. We took my sister and her two children after one's high school graduation. As customers we difficult. My sister and her kids do not get out at all. Best Italian food we ever had.

Very good food ...I had a 12 Oz steak it was great but the wait was terrible. It took us almost a hour to get our food ...But price ia average for higher end food ...

This place is the epitome of "Never judge a book by its cover"!! Yes the decor is a little dated and old school but THE FOOD.... Oh my goodness, some of the best Italian food I ever had in my life. And I've vacationed in Italy. The vodka sauce is one of the best things you'll ever have in your life. Everything is cooked fresh and delicious. I wasn't big on the appetizers and the side salad was skimpy. But the main courses- Amazing. Portions are large you definitely get your money's worth and will have leftovers. And the leftovers Will taste amazing. I would visit this little town again just to go back to Zaza's. The servers are really nice and personable as well.

So we pull up an an please don't judge a book by its cover. This place has the best Chicken fettuccine Alfredo I've ever had in my life. The best Penne in Vodka sauce. Sam was our waitress she was amazing an so friendly. It's so relaxing in here an the music is amazing. I need to tell you all this place you need to come to. I'm bringing everyone I know here. Thank you Zaza's for this amazing food

We descended upon Zazas 12 deep and eager for a memorable night. The bar was the perfect setting for a few cocktails before we were seated. Soup was hot, salad was crisp and the Italian sausage & peppers were exquisite. The calamari was just okay but at least it was hot and crispy. Decent wine menu paired with supper club cocktails kept everyone happy. The entrees, in order of impressiveness , ranged from Surf/Turf to the Filet to the Delmonico to Chicken a la ZaZA were made with love and showed with life and pizazz . We were welcomed to host loud and sentimental toasts and encouraged to hang out after our dinner concluded. Everything was fresh and flavorful. Thank you, zaZa!

If you are looking for a cozy Italian Restaurant with old school charm, and authentic Italian cuisine then this is your place. Family owned and operated, so you feel like your dinning in friend’s home. Great selection of wines, and the chief is creative with his specials. Highly recommended.

ZaZa's does not disappoint! The food has remained consistent throughout all of the years I have been dining here. Bobby is a wonderful chef and the menu has a wide variety of Italian dishes. They also offer many specials - so you will never run out of something different to try! The soup and bread are off the charts delicious and the service is always superior!

Don't go here. I want to keep this gem a secret. The owner may ask how your dinner was. But he's not sincere. The waitstaff will ask if you need anything, and are helpful in any way possible. But they don't really mean it. The bus staff is continually buzzing around, ready to clear your dishes of fill your water, or fetch the server if your drink is low. But... You know, they are just acting. I almost forgot to mention that if you want something that is not on the extensive menu, just ask. You'll probably get it. But that's just the chef showing off.

Saying this is Ingleside's best kept secret would be cutting it short.

I would go as far as saying this is lake county's best kept secret.

The ambiance is warm, old school, and romantic. Service is very personable. The food ... amazing.

Traditional Italian dishes with portions that could easily feed two people.

For dessert, had to try the tiramisu ... love that it was more sweet than tasting like coffee.

Love this place!! We’ve been coming here for over 10 years — the service is great and the food is always delicious! The Giambotta and Salmon Oscar are AMAZING!! This is a fantastic place with old school Italian decor and charm!
