Famous Dave's Bar-B-Que

Was very impressed with this famous Dave's. We arrived about forty-five five minutes before closing do I was not expecting the food to be the freshest. Little to my surprise the food was very fresh and hot. The servers were very attentive and helpful. Very pleased with this visit.

Great restaurant with really great barbecue ribs. Very nice menu, with a wide selection of tasty food. Conveniently located right off War Memorial Drive at Grand Prairie, with plenty of parking. The staff is polite, courteous and attentive. Nice dining experience for the whole family.

The environment and experience were great and the food delicious highly recommend Famous Dave's if you're nearby.

The food was super good, and the service was super friendly and quick. Excellent place to eat any meal.

My rib tips fell completely off the bone. I ask for them cut into smaller pieces though. Not into large pieces of meat. They were exceptionally great.

Our waiter was on top of everything: drink refills, apps, not forgetting sauces and napkins, was friendly and professional. The food was great and the wait time wasn't crazy either.

Had a great experience tonight. Food was really good. The server cameron did a great job tonight. The general manager Wayne did an amazing job making sure everything was great. Even helped deliver the food. The owner Mr.shaw Even came out to say hello and to give us some of his famous brisket for my two sons and fiance to try. Which they enjoyed very much.

Great service. Brisket was one of the best over ever had. The sausage was just alright.

This was our first time eating at this restaurant but it won't be our last. Service was good and the food was excellent. Menu selections were a bit limited and they were out of the desert we wanted but your portions are so large a dessert isn't a good idea anyway. There were 4 of us and the bill was $58 which is pretty good for the quality and quantity of food you receive. Definitely not a place to go is you are vegetarian or vegan!

Myself and 2 friends went for lunch. It was very, very good. We had a good table, an excellent waitress, who was very attentive to our needs. She filled drinks and took dirty dishes away. Did not wait long for food to arrive. All of us had the pulled pork sandwich and fries. The meat was very tender & the fries were very good. Was a good choice for lunch, we really enjoyed it.

Scrumptious Bar-B-Que. Great service and love the option of having broccoli instead of the usual fries. It has a fun atmosphere and friendly staff. Probably not the best place to go if you have a large group. We had a group of 16 family members meeting there and it was difficult to get tables together so we could all talk with one another. I will commend the staff for making sure every order was correct and served at the same time.

Showed up 25 min before closing and they said no problem! Our waitress was really nice. The other waitress refused us luckily, but we could tell she was ready to leave, and not in the best mood. Meat was tender, had perfect smoke flavor that wasn't too smokey. Fries were amazing...not greasy, and perfect crisp. We had no idea what to get, so ordered meal for 2. It would have served us, and our 2 kids easily! My boyfriend's new favorite place 😁

My wife and I met friends at Daves. I had 4 ribs and she had pulled pork. The food was excellent like my Mom's southern home cooking. Delicious sides and entree's. Cameron, our server, was top notch, as were every staff member we encountered. Second time to eat at Dave's in a month. You should give them a try if you like Southern (Memphis) style BBQ, brisket and fixins.

I’ve never had a bad meal at this location. Cracker Barrel should be embarrassed of their corn muffins in comparison to the perfection of Famous Dave’s!
We’re always seated quickly, and I love how we usually have the same waitress each week; she’s very friendly and attentive.
I recommend the rib tips with the jalapeños and pickled onions. I legit don’t even like bbq…except this one meal.

Again though, the corn muffins are so good I’d come just for them.

Excellent time. Service was great. Food was excellent. Best barbecue around this area. Sorry the one in Bloomington closed but will be going to Peoria to that on. Wish they had one here in Springfield. Great barbecue!!!

We ordered takeout from Famous Dave's--the Thanksgiving Feast for 4. Everything was so good! The brisket was exceptional. I would definitely recommend this if you don't want to cook.

I'm here, again, changing my review back to 5 star! The manager, Wayne, is the real MVP in that establishment! He calmly and professionally handled issues that I've recently had with my purchases! Thanks Wayne for going above AND beyond to be a GREAT customer service representative! You ROCK!

We were with a fairly large group, 15 people I think on a busy Friday night. We didn't wait long to order or get refills and our food came out in a reasonable amount of time and was delicious. I really can only say positive things about this evening.

I cannot say enough great things about this BBQ joint. You will get famous customer service at the one at Grand Prairie in Peoria Illinois. The staff will always go out of their way to make sure you get what you want. The BBQ is wonderful. I get the Georgia style. The chicken is also great. The cornbread is a sweet cornbread that is made perfect. Let’s not even start talking about the bread pudding. I’m getting hungry!

Tried the bbq pulled chicken and the brisket both were very tender and savory, the waitress was very helpful and friendly. I look forward to eating there again!
