Jonah's Seafood House, 2601 Oyster Bar, and Market & Bake Shop

Jonah's is a real treat and will not disappoint. The food is delicious and plentiful, plus a bakery/market is attached next to it. If you are looking for a nice atmosphere, great service and outstanding seafood and steaks, please give them a try. They are closed Sundays and Mondays. Fridays and Saturdays are busy, however they do accept reservations.

We had a fantastic date night dinner. The food was excellent, I got the mango scallops and my husband got the sesame tuna. We also got coconut shrimp and raw oysters for appetizers. The carrot cake and chocolate cake slices are huge!

If you're in town, highly recommended! Very nice staff, great food and great views! I came in as a solo visiting and asked if I could sit outside, no hesitation at all and the staff was very accommodating. I will be back as many times as I can in the near future. Thank you Jonah's for a great experience for a newbie!

Jonah's always great! Really go for the Chumbo! Not on the menu but New England Clam Chowder and Seafood Gumbo Mixed! Raw Oysters never disappoints. Salmon is always buttery and grilled to perfection! Service was good. Decent wines on their list and descent beer selection as well.

Very large place right on the water. We were seated next to windows with a nice view of the river. We were quickly approved by our server who was quick to get in our order and bring it out. Oyster Rockefeller took the longest, but everything else was raw or batch made. Only complaint which was minor was that my prosecco was delivered to me in a white wine glass instead of a champagne glass. There's an oyster bar side which has more of a lively bar side with more bar food and a market which sells items on their menu.

Fun place for date night or small bday gathering. They do NOT take reso or call ahead just kinda have to watch for an open table. Good drink selection, friendly service always fresh food. Desserts are AHHMAZING. Choc cake or carrot ✔

Jonas Seafood never disappoints. It's hard to beat a midwest sunset view overlooking the Illinois River and the City of Peoria's skyline. I've been coming here periodically over the past decade for lunch or dinner, and the quality of food, paired with an attentive staff, has always been consistently brilliant. The atmosphere has always been enjoyable and the staff do what they can to accommodate your needs.

For lunch today, a colleague of mine and I enjoyed their Louisiana Jambalaya and their deep fried Wild Caught Gulf Shrimp. Bare in mind that Jonas Seafood is flown in fresh daily and made to order! The Jambalaya is one of my all time favorite dishes and the chef always makes this with the right amount of spicy. The Shrimp were on the larger side and the batter was well seasoned and thin! I got a side of the Au Gratin potatoes along with my Jambalaya - these are sweet and cooked to PERFECTION. Never too soft and they finish cooking right at your table being served hot. Not pictured was the fried calamari appetizer we got. Unfortunately we devoured it before I could get a good picture of it!

Kudos to the owners, the chefs, and the staff for creating and maintaining a relaxing atmosphere with tremendous food. To anyone who has never been, you're missing out. As always, I'll see you again next time Jonas!

We went for the first time yesterday. We live in Galesburg, but how have we never heard of this place?! It’s amazing! Beautiful place, great food, and we had an amazing server, wish we knew her name. The oysters Rockefeller were delicious!!! I had the dill salmon, and my husband had the king crab legs. Both were wonderful! The clam chowder was also spectacular. I can usually tell how the quality of seafood will be based on a cup of clam chowder beforehand. Nothing disappointed.
Also, to note, kid friendly! We brought our 4 year old. We will be back!!

Amazing dinner on Valentines day. Reservations were made and we only had a minimal wait to be seated. Our waitress, Brynna F was delightful, attentive and excellent server. The food was perfection. We had crab rangoon and shrimp cocktail, Jambalaya and Filet w/grilled shrimp and desserts. A+++ experience!!!

Absolutely love Jonah's! They never fail. Best seafood in the area. Hands down! Had our anniversary dinner here tonight. Tuna for me, and the cod for my better half.

Food is always top notch, one of my favorite places to eat! I do miss the blackened fish tacos! The view is and atmosphere is fantastic!

Love the atmosphere! The appetizers were very tasty and hot.
The Entrees looked beautiful and tasted amazing. The Filet and Gulf Shrimp were outstanding! Our waitress was very nice and attentive but not hovering.

Jonah's came through. We scheduled our annual board dinner here. We showed up to find out I made an error and scheduled it for Saturday rather than Friday. Long story short , they hustled and accommodated us and things rolled without a hitch...well almost. They couldn't aoifer the steak/shrimp combo and the dessert tray didn't get the one requested substitution... but how can I complain? The food and the service were good. I can't give 5 stars because the sweet augatin potatoes were too cheesy and overly sweet and while they accommodated us the servers had pretty long faces all night. We really tried to be gracious because it was my error. I could only think, had this happened where I moved from in Chicago area we probably would have been out of luck and ordering pizza back at the office.

Excellent food and service like always. Try to make a reservation if possible since is always busy. I miss their coconut rice and the scallop potatoes. They always have fresh fish and oysters.

Atmosphere, service, food was all wonderful! Great menu and selection. I had the crusted salmon with mashed potatoes, a salad and key lime pie. The salmon is crusted with a sweet raisin sauce. Absolutely done to perfection.

The food and the view is awesome. The clam chowder is rich and full of ingredients. The fish is fresh.

Great seafood spot. Very fresh with lots of choices. Old fashions were fair, but hey, we weren't in Wisco.

This is a very good seafood restaurant just outside of Peoria. The atmosphere is comfortable and homey, and I like it. There are a lot of stairs though, for anybody that's handicapped, just a heads up. Our waiter was attentive and friendly, and we got seated next to a window overlooking the Peoria skyline and a pink sunset. Food was good too. The clam chowder was amazing, and I could tell it had that homemade love and care put into it. I had the halibut for dinner and it was light, but paired with the sauce made for a dangerously spicy combination. Again, this is a great seafood spot in the Peoria area. It's just a solid place to recommend.
