La Trinidad Restaurant

Went in on Sunday, location was cleaned inside and outside the restaurant. There was enough parking behind the restaurant. Food was amazing, had menudo de res which was great, hot and they also gave me chile de arbol to add spiciness to the menudo. Also ordered a molcajete fajita meal for 2, my daughter and I could hardly finish it. It has so much meat with rice and beans on the side. I really got my money worth. Staff was extremely nice and friendly, they attended to us in a timely manner, for a family of 6.

Food is delicious and reasonably priced. Service is always friendly, gracious, and prompt. The TVs may occasionally feature programs you'd rather not watch while dining (e.g., autopsies), but that proves the staff is so focused on serving their customers that they miss what's on in the background ~ and I am sure they would have changed the channel had we asked rather than ignored the TV. :-)

Flavors are amazing! Even the chips and salsa. Chips made in house. I got the Wisca. Love it— consistently good.

Absolutely the best Chimichanga I have ever eaten. Great pricing, courteous service, and outstanding food.

The food was very delicious. The service staff was very courteous. The waiter went above and beyond as I had requested coffee and he brewed a new pot for me. I will definitely be returning.

Found this restaurant on Local Flavor. Clean dining room, lots of parking, nice menu with many options, looks like they have some good lunch specials as well. Juan Valdez gave us great service! My son had steak smothered in a salsa verde and I tried a combination with a chile relleno taco on the side. Tasted wonderful and good presentation.

I did order take out, so I can't say much for the atmosphere, but I can say the steak tacos and tamales were excellent! I'm looking forward to being in the area again to order from La Trinidad!

Stopped in on Sunday. Restaurant was clean, servers were friendly, and the food was just SO good! We were surprised plate after plate.
Nachos- homemade chips, delicious beans, melty cheese and steak! 10/10
Bombo Ranchero - spicy, tender meat, melty cheeeeseeeee and homemade tortillas. 10/10
Burrito - the size of an actual football. 10/10
My piña colada was delicious as well. Definitely recommend!

First time eating at the Mchenry location. My wife and I really enjoyed the food and the service was excellent. Their Bombas dinners are delicious. Will definitely come back.

Our favorite chicken tacos and tamales in McHenry. The food is always fresh and tasty. I forget the owners name, but he is always super friendly and greets you with a smile regardless of how busy he is. Highly recommend!

The food is great. The only thing I wish is that guacamole came with the dishes, but besides that I think their food is excellent.

11/10. Steak tacos, chips + salsa, and enchiladas were amazing to say the very least. Plus our son Declan 110% approved. Super friendly staff who interacted with our 11 month old and constantly smiled - of course D had to smile back because he was having such a good time.

Juan, our server was awesome. Great food and many food choices at reasonable prices. Drinks were very good. Clean, friendly, courteous, and very attentive. Burrito and the chimichanga which we ordered were served with a side of beans, rice, and salad. Warm chips and salsa are complimentary. Will definitely recommend it. 💯

Food was outstanding! Portions were very large. The place isn't fancy but it's clean and welcoming. I highly recommend.

Mexican restaurants seem to be everywhere, in-fact I think there are a total of three within 2 minutes of La Trinidad, but I choose to come here. Portions are good size, good prices, and most important of all great food. Fun menu items you don't see everywhere. I highly recommend the Fajita Burrito, it's awesome!

Their steak burritos are awesome. The meat is not over done/hard (like other places). Their guacamole is made perfectly.
This is my go-to for Mexican cuisine in McHenry. 😊
