Perfect diner in the woods with exactly the kind of comfort food you want on a rainy day up north. Best Country Fried Steak I’ve ever had and I’m a fanatic. Get the accompanying buttered biscuit, baked in a sheet pan. You will swoon. Good coffee served in big mismatching mugs . Portions large and you won’t be able to stop eating because the food is so good. Menu items are classic, with some unusual like cabbage rolls. Friendly staff, silly beach theme in the middle of canoe country. I loved it.

We come up to grayling Michigan few times a year to stay at our cabin. Everytime we are here, West Side Cafe is our spot. The breakfast is amazing, especially the smothered breakfast burrito and their toast. Yup, I said toast. Best bread you will ever eat. And the inside is adorable and cozy. The mugs they use eclectic mugs, just fun to see which one you get. I always take a photo. If you’re in the area you won’t regret stopping by

Great breakfast, great service and an all around nice experience. Our waitress was Mel. She was on top of her game. Friendly and very helpful with recommendations. The blueberry pancakes with nuts of course for my way were more than one person could eat. All the food ordered was delicious, hot and tasty. Highly recommended

I have visited twice this past year and both times were an excellent experience. Family friendly diner with a modern lake life interior. Staff are friendly and accommodating and food was perfectly prepared each time.

I have had dinner there about 15 times in the last year. Always good! The waitresses are few in number and work their bottoms off! Very friendly home style environment!

It was my granddaughters birthday and Alia treated her like a Queen. The food is tasty, servings are generous and service great. My granddaughter was treated at the end of her meal with a piece of some delightfully chocolate creation and ice cream while we sang Happy Birthday. We've always had good food, and service there.

I ate at Westside Diner and was greeted with a smile and a great cup of coffee. We both had the biscuits and gravy and it was amazing. The biscuits were fluffy, and the gravy a solid 9+ out of 10. We left full and treated wonderfully. We'll be back in a couple weeks. GREAT PLACE!

Recently bought a cabin nearby and found this little gem. Their breakfasts are epic, thick sliced bacon that's so good my girlfriend insists we keep going back. they have a fantastic Breakfast Burrito too and the staff is top-notch! the last time we were there (near Christmas) they had a chalk board at the entrance with coupons for a free meal for anyone that was hungry! can you believe that?

Went to Westside for dinner. Aaliyah was our server. She was very friendly and always smiling. She treated my family and I with the utmost respect. Thank you for the great dinner experience Aaliyah.

Just like any home style restaurant with a signature fish dinner on Friday, you will wait, but in my opinion, it's worth it. I got the Cod 2 piece garlic and pepper with mashed potatoes and gravy, and it was yummy 😋 if your in Grayling you must stop in and relax for a few and enjoy some Fish at Westside dinner.

Came here to visit family as I’m from downstate 2.5hrs away. Best chicken strips around! Probably the best I’ve ever had actually!

West side diner was delicious, the service was great and quick, and the atmosphere was friendly. Highly recommend! (And if you have a sweet tooth, definitely try the chocolate/cherry/walnut pancake!)

The place was amazing and very nice to have a meal. Huge portions and great prices. Wonderful wait staff. They were pretty busy when I went so it took just a bit of time for refills. Other then that it was wonderful. Don't pass by and not stop. It's worth it for sure

Food tasted great was made exactly as ordered. The waitress noticed my toast was burnt and offered without me asking to replace it.
