Skip's Sport Shop

I love this store. A good old fashioned, up north hunting and fishing store with everything you need and nothing you don't.

Jack and Missy are outstanding people, and of great help.

Skips had lures that we were able to use to take the kids fishing while on vacation.

We didn't end up doing any catching, but if it hasn't been for this store we wouldn't have had a chance to stand by the water as a family.

Time spent together without the kids starting at screens is a win. Thank you for making fishing possible as part of our afternoon activities.

Fantastic customer service. Every other place I went didn't have what I needed for my crossbow. Called up skips and told them my situation and he had me come in and fixed my problem. I definitely will be going back to them from now on and recommending them to anyone who asks where to take their bow or firearm.

Great little shop packed with bait and tackle options that are reasonably priced.

Great service. Very helpful. The place was packed, but the gentleman that helped me took time out to adjust the draw length and service a couple of used Martin bows I had just picked up. The price was very reasonable as well. Thanks!!

This is the first shop out of at least 15 others that actually knew what I was talking about when I asked if they had Scupper plugs for a Kayak. Better yet, they had them in stock. This is definitely the shop to stop at for your Kayak and outdoor needs. Now I can stay dry while kayaking.

Nice local fishing and outdoor sports shop. Forgot my fishing gear at home, was able to find a great deal on a nuce pole, the gentleman behind the counter even spooled me up with some 8lb. Test for next to nothing. Would recommend!

Very nice shop. Extremely helpful. Put a new string loop an my bow. Very pleased with fast service and price. Will definitely be shopping there again.

STOP SHOPPING BIG BOX STORES... Skip's is a great local place. I just ordered 2 kayaks from Jack. He is extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. I highly recommend Skips!

Excellent store! Went to the Grayling/Mio area with a friend looking for trout. We are from Owosso and Clio so we didn't know the area very well. We got skunked the day before and as we were checking out, the owner overheard us talking about where to go. After asking what bait we were using and how we were fishing he grabbed a map and pointed out a beautiful spot where we could wade for miles and guaranteed we would catch trout. This was the biggest keeper we pulled in. We caught many more and the scenery was amazing! Thank you so much for helping make our trip a big success!

I grew up around skip sports shop buying their bait buying kayaks, learning how to cast fishing reel. I think my favorite part is seeing all of the deer hanging from the buck Pole. Skip's has been open for years and I hope it stays open for many years to come

Missy was awesome. I was on a week long be Ike ride and needed a new mattress. Missy offered to deliver the mattress to the high school for me so I didn't have to carry it on my bike to the school.

The owners are very friendly and very skilled at working on bows, crossbows and guns. Also they have a great selection of hunting and fishing supplies. Great place to shop local.

Store is clean, looks like they go through inventory pretty quick. It's a mom and pop type place so it's a very inviting atmosphere. Skip on over and take a look, It's worth it.
