Rockford Cheese Shop

The staff is wonderful and helpful! This is my favorite small business to shop. Not only do they have the best cheese selection, but they have great gifts as well. I am thankful that I don't have to go to downtown Grand Rapids to get my cheese fix.

One of my favorite places to visit when I am in Rockford! They have a wonderful selection and will let you taste the cheeses before you buy them.

Heather and Tanya are 2 of the friendliest people. Extremely knowledgeable about all of their products and make wonderful recommendations. Unsure? Ask for a taste, they don't want to send you home with something you aren't going to enjoy.
Update: still one of the best places to shop in rockford. Heather has added so many unique gift items and wine selections. The staff is always friendly and makes great recommendations!

A cute little shop that I happened to notice the word CHEESE when walking by. I have never experienced a cheese shop before, but I'm in love! I was pretty intimidated by the number of cheeses they carry (not all were in stock as can happen), but the woman behind the counter was very willing to help narrow down my tastes and let me and my friend try some samples. I love the Truffle Jack and the Prima Donna Maturo Gouda that I brought home!! I haven't tried the fresh mozzarella yet, but I'm thinking I won't be disappointed!

I forgot to take a photo but the charcuterie tray I ordered for my work party last night was beautiful AND delicious! Will be back.

Great clean atmosphere, tons of selection, friendly generous service. Getting home with my selections, I noticed each cheese had its tasting notes and details, super helpful to remember our choices and take the tasting experience home. Thanks RCS!

So many choices of cheese. Careful not to go by right next to barbershop. Door is white as small front as it is a long store.

We LOVE the cheese shop! Always super friendly staff who know SO much about cheeses and even remember our favorites! From cheeses by the lb to their amazing charcuterie boards to the quiches they sell…we love everything they have!!

Delightful cheese shop. The staff is so helpful and more than happy to let you try cheese and wine to your hearts content. We have a limited knowledge of cheese, but they were able to point us to some very delicious cheeses. They made us feel welcome and comfortable. We bought a few excellent cheese that were recommended to us. It was a great stop on our weekend day trip. I would highly recommend this place if you are in Rockford.

Fantastic place for all things cheese! A friend and I were up in the Rockford area and decided to stop by. The women at the counter were friendly, welcoming and very knowledgeable. My only regret is that we didn't get more cheese, but a return visit is definitely in the works!

Amazing, best selection I have seen, Friendly, a complete stop for a bottle of wine, cheese charcuterie and adorable swag. I look forward to my next visit.

I can honestly say I have never met more friendly, happy, helpful people than the people that own and work at the Rockford Cheese shop. They are also very knowledgeable about the HUGE selection of delicious cheeses they sell. You can sample everything before buying so you're sure to like what you take home. Don't forget to get the fresh, in-house made dips also.

Fantastic local shop with cheese options galore that are cut to the size the customer requests. Great accompaniments for cheese including crackers, olives, fruits, chocolates, jams, honey, and so much more including wines and beer. Gift bags/boxes available to personalize. Some cute gift options as well such as towels, boards, socks, etc.

So many giftable items in the shop and pay attention to their Facebook page as they update w specials each week along with gift bag options for special occasions and fun recipes to try!

Friendly folks. Great cheese. Favorite is the Barber cheese.

My wife and I had seen this store and were very curious so we stopped in today and were greeted by Heather the owner. It was so nice that she let us try different types of cheeses and sample some of the other items they had there. We ended up getting two of the snack packs with cheese, meats, crackers and olives - they were delicious. This is definitely going to be one of our new go-to spots when were in Rockford

I'm hooked on this cheese shop. They do the most amazing trays of cheese. Every get together we have at our house we order a cheese platter from here. They do the platter so nice everyone's commenting on how amazing it is and even the presentation is wonderful. I'd highly recommend this place

I had heard others talk about the Cheese Shop in Rockford so I thought I would check it out. Curb appeal is so so. Once I walked in the door, it was very welcoming. They have lights strung across the ceiling in this long hallway as you walk toward the cheese shop. They have a sort of jellies and Knots and I thought it was just a nice selection. The girl that helped me was very informative, made suggestions, I really thought she was very good at what she did. I would definitely go back

The service here is always exceptional - even when it is busy on the weekends they always take time to answer all our questions and thoroughly help us.

Beyond that the store is always very clean, well laid out, and their selection of cheeses is not only extensive, but changes up frequently enough to where there is always something new to try when we visit. Absolutely recommended!

I sent an email to Heather and she responded very quickly (even on her day off). I asked her to put together a Charcuterie platter for a Wine tasting gathering with friends. The platter was beautiful, delicious and had a great variety of not only cheese, but crackers, nuts, dried fruits etc. In addition, she was very knowledgeable about what cheese goes with the many options of wine. I will definitely order from the Rockford Cheese Shop again!
