Liberty Cafe

This place is by far one of the best hidden gems I have ever seen! I stumbled upon this place by recommendation from a friend and I feel like one of the lucky ones! It feels like home the second you walk in. It’s a small and intimate place that’s great for things like just hanging around and catching up with a friend or a first date! Debbie, the owner is such a wonderful woman who radiates love and positivity, and that really shows in her coffee and food. It was so great I had to tip Debbie $50! Seattle is lucky to have a coffee shop like this. I’d recommend this place 1000x over. Try out the White Chocolate Mocha with Lavender and Oatmilk! Thanks Debbie!

The food isnt microwaved and the coffee is fresh, made exactly how you like it.

If you like atypical and want to get away from The corporate cookie cutter experience, this is it. The knickknacks on the wall and the clear love Debby has for this space is apparent. If you're claustrophobic you may want to dine outside, but it a cute little streetside seating with plenty of fresh air.

Bring yourself, bring your friends, you won't regret it.

This store is a whole vibe. If you are looking for a funky, fun, artistic kind of coffee shop where you can get a tasty bite to eat and the best Chai tea in the area, then this is it. The staff and owner are lovely too. Easily one of my new favorites!

This review is way over due. I’ve been coming here for years! Debbie is the best! Her food is made with love and it shows. I’m vegetarian and I love the fact that she has so many options to cater towards that. Anything you get, you can’t go wrong with. Something to keep in mind her store is small so it is better for take out. Please be patient with her as is it just her or one other girl making the orders. You won’t be disappointed :) Liberty cafe is my go to spot when I have a good breakfast craving.

Local coffee spot with great music, paninis, local art, and AMAZING espresso!!! Owner has been making coffee in downtown Renton for over 20 years and she is an incredible lady. Cozy and fun spot, a must try if your in Renton WA!!!

I'll be craving the breakfast sandwich I just tried here probably every day for the rest of my life. It was so cheesy and toasty and the sauce was GREAT. Can more places normalize putting sauce on their breakfast sandwiches?

I just had a very lovely experience here. Debby is extremely friendly, welcoming and kind. The chai tea she made was absolutely incredible and the sandwiches and soup are also very delicious. She even let us pick out the music! We had great conversations and I feel that this place is not just a cafe but a very therapeutic experience. Businesses like these are so important for the community and I highly encourage anyone to try this place if they are in the area and what good food, good coffee, and a good experience.

Adorable, quaint, little dinner. The owner is cheery attentive and positively charming. Food and drinks enjoyed by my husband and I were delicious, definitely worth a stop by!

Deb is the greatest! Coffee is delicious and the breakfast sandwiches with the jalepeno bagel are bonkers! Will definitely come again and recommend to anyone in the Renton area In need of a hot cup :)

Debbie’s cafe is a magical place. The decor is artsy and the company is friendly. It says a lot when a business has so many regulars, and it was lovely to watch customers come in only to be greeted by name with their “usual”.
I’m sure *all* of the food is good but you can’t leave without trying a breakfast sandwich!! The bagel sandwich I ordered is legitimately the best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had. If that sandwich is any indication of the quality of liberty’s paninis I’ll definitely need to drop in for lunch.

Recent discovery for me, the owner was so welcoming, accomodating and kind. You can tell she really cares if you enjoy your drink. Prices are reasonable. The traditional macchiato convinced me that all the espresso drinks are definitely worth a try, and it's the best dirty chai we've had in the area. (She makes her own blend! There's definitely nothing from a box or microwave here!) Definitely coming back as much as possible. The environment isn't for everyone but that's fine by me. I love that the cafe supports local artists and doesn't have that cold corporate feel. A true gem in Renton for sure.

December 2019– this place is still the best! Love it. Breve yum and bfast sandwich on jalapeño cheese bagel pressed to perfection! For the win. Support local Renton. A great place.

The owner Debby was the nicest coffee shop owner ever. I love her cute shop. Caramel ice latte was great. I would definitely go back there again when I am in the area.

The coffee is always stellar, the sandwiches are to die for, and the service is amazing! We’re brand new to the area and we were immediately welcomed and treated like regulars by our second visit! Can’t wait to enjoy many Sunday mornings here! Perfect spot to grab coffee, settle into the cozy chairs, and read for a few hours.

My friend brought me with them after passing by quite a few times walking their dog. Nice small little cafe with a local artists work on the wall for sale. Nicest lady ever took our orders and made us feel at home. There was a bit of a wait for the food and drinks, but absolutely worth it considering the quality and level of deliciousness in the food. Coffee was on point as well. Highly recommend this place for both the food and drinks.

This is a great little cafe! I popped in while waiting for my car to get worked on and even though Debbie was trying to finish other orders she was polite in expressing the wait which was definitely worth it! I ordered the breakfast croissant sandwich, an iced chaggaccino and a DELICIOUS pistachio muffin that came out warmed up with butter! Everything was so good and Debbie is super sweet!

Excellent local owned business! Enjoyed delicious toasted and buttered banana bread with walnuts with a cup of hot chocolate outside, in nice sitting area while enjoying some sunshine. Owner operated, great service, lots of food and beverage options.

Debbie is absolutely wonderful, kind, accepting, and open. She is the heart of what makes this café so awesome, but she also makes the most amazing food on top of that. Highly, highly recommend, and I would give six stars if I could!
