Dr. Birris has been going above and beyond for me since 2016. The entire country, especially our area, is dealing with a major GI shortage. The patient to doctor ratio is off kilter, to say the least. Regardless, Dr. Birris never leaves me hanging. Some procedures and appointments have to be scheduled further out than ideal, due to aforementioned shortage. But I can still always get medications and communication through the patient portal. I always feel like my health is being cared for.

From start to finish, a wonderful experience with this entire office. From the front desk, to the nurse, to Dr. Birris, everyone was so kind. They were easy to work with, responsive and helped me get in quick for a procedure.

The staff was amazing making me feel very at ease was my first colonoscopy and the first major appt I have ever had since my husband died a few years ago. I felt very alone and they helped calm my nerves and it was like they knew my inner feelings. I just felt like those ladies had my back. As for the dr I had I was not to impressed with him. He was very nice and polite but he seemed he was focused on my weight to much for me I am just an average sized person but he made me feel like I was a huge elephant.

I have been a patient of Dr. Jones for seven years. During that time I have had five colonoscopy procedures due to a condition called serrated polyposis. In every procedure, Dr. Jones has been professional, knowledgeable and has treated me with compassion. He will always take time to completely answer all of my questions in a way that is easy to understand. I have complete confidence in him and believe that he has quite probably saved me from colon cancer. I fully recommend him to anyone requiring a colonoscopy.

Being very young, I was very scared to have a routine colonoscopy. I was seen by Dr. Snipes and he was very calm and reassuring. He answered all of my questions and was extremely nice. Clear instructions for pre procedure were given and they triple checked to make sure I understood. Procedure went smoothly with no hiccups. Very pleasant staff. Everyone understood my nerves and were so reassuring. My grandmother has used this same doctor and I would most definitely recommend.

I see Dr. Jones and talk about a great experience! My last colonoscopy: easy prep, no discomfort (physical or mental) during the procedure and (get this) absolutely no discomfort or soreness the next day. Like it never happened! Where do you think I am going for my next one? Great staff and service.

Dr. Jones has been treating me for nearly 30 years for Crohn's. He has always been the epitome of professionalism and has genuine care for his patients. His partner physicians are all top-notch as well. Finally, the front-desk staff are friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

I am writing this review for my mother but we all see Dr Jones in our family and we all LOVE HIM. He is not only an Amazing Physician but an Amazing Human Being. He is kind, compassionate and puts your mind at ease when you see him. We have always been blessed with Good News but my mom was especially nervous this time around. She did not know she was overdue for her colonoscopy but she will also be turning 80 this year and she has had pre cancerous polyps in the past - well she had 4 more small ones this time and he with a smile on his face told her he was not worried they would get them to pathology but she was in great shape and he hoped this was her last one,,,of course she was a bit out of it haha but she understood what he said and she smiled and then he left and she said He is the best she just loves him...so that sums it up he is AWESOME and we love him...Thanks Doctor Jones for all you do for this community and loyalty to your patients.

I've been going to Dr. Jones for 8 years. In 2012 he found a cancerous polyp. It was removed and I've had follow up procedures yearly. Dr. Jones is caring, polite and thorough. He has found and removed polyps as small as two millimetres. I have recommended Dr. Bruce Jones to my family and friends and they are all as pleased with him and his office as I am.

Colonoscopy here was as comfortable as can be expected. The staff were super friendly, the nurse was skilled at putting in my IV. I was given a toasty blanket while I waited for the procedure to start. Sedation level was perfect. I wasn't rushed out but was allowed to leave as quick as I was able. Only cons were environmental: the waiting room for the endoscopy section was little. As I was still processing bowel prep I'm sitting person to person in the waiting room. Expand the procedure waiting room and comfy it up a little. But that's nit picking. The important parts were great.

Dr. Jones performed my screening colonoscopy and did an awesome job! I highly recommend him for any of your gastroenterology needs. He such a kind and compassionate physician. He communicates in a way that the average non-medical person (my husband) can understand. Thank you Dr Jones for your excellent 5 Star service! And all the staff at Great Lakes Endoscopy Center is AWESOME!!

Saw Dr. Jones to help with my 89 year old father with some issues. Not only was he very compassionate but he made sure to explain all steps clearly with Dad so he understood not only what steps were necessary to take care of his problems but also the long term care required on his part.
Great medical care from Dr. Jones.

I'm not sure why the bad reviews. I love these people. I haven't had a lot of trouble, except what's expected from a specialists office(appointment availability 4-6 weeks out, occasionally calling about refills, etc.) These are great people, they make you comfortable, and they work with you in billing as well. Having a chronic illness causes a lot of extra work and costs. This is not the office's fault. I recommend them often.

I have been seeing Dr. Bruce Jones since 2006 when I was diagnosed with crohns. I suffered severe problems until I met Dr. Jones and he got control of my crohns and has it has been under control since. I go there every 8 weeks for an IV treatment of remicade. The only problem I have with this office is one nurse that has a difficult time putting in and removing the IV. The ladies in the front office are all very helpful and greet me with a smile. The nurses are the best and I am very thankful that in 2006 I was referred to Dr. Jones.

I am currently seeing Dr. Birris and am very pleased. Over 30 years with Crohn's Disease has given me the opportunity to see many doctors. Dr. Birris is definitely on a par with doctors I have seen at Mayo Clinic and U of M. I have full confidence in him. And his bedside manor is great! Very personable!
