Little Island Lake Resort

My family stayed the weekend and will absolutely be back. Two adults, two kids under five years old and two dogs. The cabin was simple and perfect for a quick weekend away. We brought our CanAm and took advantage of the trails right down the road. The weather was cold so we did not get to go in the water but it looked perfect for when we plan on coming back in the summer. There was a swing set our kids loved and We also love that we could bring our two dogs. There was plenty of area for them to play around and be dogs outside. We would highly recommend Little island lake resort for a family vacation.

Great little set up, 3 cabins and a loft! Clean and everything was operational. The owners are very nice and accommodating. The little beach front was actually perfect size. Water toys free to use. Great experience and will be back again.

As soon as I walked into my little cabin I sighed with relief- so clean so cozy so perfect. The view is beautiful. The cabin had everything we would need. Including a record player with, I don’t know how, but everything we wanted to listen to. The best selections! Owners Aimee and Brent are awesome. They help with anything you need. one night it was going to get a little cold so they made sure the pilot light was lit on the furnace and turned it on just in case. My preschooler had a blast. The shallow water was so perfect for him to safely play in- and we loved taking the pedal boat out to the little island. At night we heard loons! It was so beautiful! Lovely spot on a lovely lake. Would go back again and again.

Wonderful hidden gem. Clean comfortable cabin. Lots of fun equipment available to use on the private beach, canoes, fishing equipment, life jackets and much more. Had such a wonderful 4 days we booked for a week already for next year. Definitely recommend.

As soon as I showed up I was met by one of the owners and he showed me where everything was and made sure I got in ok. When I walked into the loft, it was the cleanest place I have ever rented. I could not have been more happy about that. The place as a whole was very nice and relaxing. The only negative I had, was the morning I left, I sent them a msg thanking them and asked a question or two and I never got a response back. Which isn't to big of a deal. Definitely not a deal breaker of course lol

Made a last minute decision to go up north for a weekend with my sister, parent and nieces. I reached out to the new owners, Aimee and Brent, to see if they could accommodate us. They had a cabin that fit all of us comfortably and for a very good price. The property is right on the lake and my nieces were able to go play on the ice for a while. 10 minutes from lots of trail heads in Huron-Manistee National Forest. We had absolutely anything we could have needed and loved every second of being up there. Aimee and Brent were extremely welcoming and friendly. We will definitely be back soon!

This place is amazing. It is a great place to create memories with your family and friends. The beach is impeccable, and they have sooo many water "toys" from paddle boards, row boat, kayaks etc that we were never board. The water is sandy and clean in the swimming area.

There is obvious pride taken in this resort. The owners were super responsive and only wanted to make our stay the best possible.

If you're looking for an up-north feel, without any of the hassle, this is the place for you!

Very cool resort. Clean cabins with everything you need for your stay. It’s on a gorgeous lake with a beautiful view, a great fire pit, and plenty of room for yard games. Close to atv/snowmobile trail. Great place to have a family reunion, girls weekend or a fishing weekend for the guys. The owners are great and accommodating. You really need to check the place out. Love this resort .

This place is a total gem! The cabin was clean and comfy and the lake view was gorgeous! I Ioved having the beach and the dock to lay out in and the paddleboards and kayaks to use when I was feeling adventurous. I had an awesome time with some friends for a getaway but I will definitely be back with my kids. They would absolutely love it!

Very clean. Was a very nice relaxing spot. The view is beautiful. If looking to swim, it's more for fishing or take one of 3 boat options and swim. Very mucky and weeds high up to top of water. But it is a nice place to 😎.

This place is the closest thing I’ve ever encountered to Heaven. Brent and Amy, the owners, are two of the most lovely, accommodating, and professional people you will ever meet — the lake, contrary to a previous post, is clear, clean and algae-free, and the cabins are immaculately kept. If you’re looking for a spot to unwind, look no further because this is it.

Our family loves this resort! It’s the perfect place to get away and enjoy lake life. The cabins and beach are clean & the owners were very accommodating. We can’t wait to go back!

The cabins are rustic but all you really need. With the little resort by the lakeshore they have have a kayak, several paddle boards, and a paddle boat to use. We were able to borrow a jet ski and tow the kids on a tube. Even without all that the view in the morning and evening is great! Something about being able to sit in view of the lake and have a libation of choice is extremely relaxing. And yes they do have WiFi!

This place is amazing. Absolutely a hidden gem. Cabin was perfect for us - right on the lake. All the toys are provided. Love it here!! We will be back every year!!

We stayed at Little Island Resort this last weekend. It is a wonderful setting with cabins and a lodge on the property. My group of friends have been staying all over Michiganfrom year to year. We stay in the winter for a weekend. We found this to be a great setting. Private, on the lake with good views from our cabin. The fire pit was perfect and we stayed warm for hours outside which is important to us. The lake is surrounded by cotteges but it seemed very private. Our group cooked our meals everyday so the cabins are adequaltely stocked for cooking which has been a problem for us in the past. We will definately be staying again!

Super cute, cozy resort on Little Island Lake with a ton to do, and plenty of natural attractions nearby! Beautifully maintained. The owners, Aimee and Brent, are so kind and welcoming!

Very cozy cabins on a beautiful lake! We loved that there was a fire pit! And there's a comfortable outdoor sitting area overlooking the lake. I highly recommend for anyone!

I had a family reunion here and the cabins easily accommodated everyone. The beach and lake access was perfect. I would highly recommend staying here to large groups, small groups or even for a small getaway.

Great place to get away. Wonderful for kids. Nice little beach area in front of the cabins with a paddle boat and paddle boards to use. Will definitly come back.
