I had an absolutely outstanding experience for Sunday dinner at Blind Owl.
The ambiance and decor is so colorful and unique making for a warm and welcoming environment. Our waitress Keren was fantastic, super friendly and attentive. The variety of menu options is not something you typically see as they have a full Sushi Bar, Latin American cuisine, and New American fare all under one roof. You can literally get a sushi roll, tacos, and a burger if you wanted to.
I spoke with Danielle who is the General Manager who spoke very highly of the owner Nick. She explained how he loves to travel the world and incorporates the flavors he experiences when abroad to use for his dishes at the restaurant which explains the unique fusion of different foods in their menu. She also informed me that they offer brunch on Sundays from 10-2 which I cannot wait to try. I really appreciated her taking the time to talk to us.
Moving on to the food, and I don’t say this lightly, do NOT come here without ordering the Crispy Brussels Sprouts. Being my favorite vegetable, I eat more Brussels sprouts than I’d care to admit. These are easily in my top 5. The Chipotle Agave Glaze is rich without being too heavy. It was perfection. For drinks I had the Smokey Old Fashioned which was great, and my friend had the Classic Margarita which was strong and flavorful. Moving to the entrees, my friend ordered the Philadelphia Roll and the TNT Roll and thankfully she had no problem sharing. For not being just a Sushi place I was skeptical. To say I was floored would be an understatement, this is truly some of the freshest sushi I’ve ever had, they knocked it out of the park easily. I was already full from the Brussels so I settled on the Yellowtail Carpaccio for something on the lighter end. I again cannot stress enough about the freshness of the fish. It puts other Sushi places to shame, and the presentation was fantastic. For dessert my friend and I split the Coffee Crème Brûlée which was extremely flavorful, and the Fried Cheesecake which came with this amazing Berry Chipotle dipping sauce which was heavenly. Bonus points for locally sourcing the ingredients for the sauce as well!
Overall it was an amazing experience, and probably New Baltimore’s best restaurant in my opinion. Definitely a must try if you’re in the area.

We came in around 3pm on a Friday. Greeted right away.
The young lady that took care of us was friendly and answered any questions we had and seemed pretty familiar with the menu.
Our food was fantastic and fresh. We will definitely be back to check out the night life.

Cool spot in downtown New Baltimore with a little something for everyone!! This place is pretty big with an extensive menu that even includes brunch. I ended up going for lunch with my cousin, and we were not disappointed. They serve sushi, Latin American, and some of your typical bar foods such as burgers and fries. They also have an extensive drink menu with a nice sized bar to watch a game. Our waitress also informed us that they often have live music and a comedy night.
We ordered sushi, brussel sprouts, and I also got miso soup. Everything was delicious and we will definitely be back soon!!

I could not have thought of a better restaurant idea then having tacos and sushi in one place! I had the spicy margarita which was made really well and it was tasty. Then we shared the cups and salsa, habanero and rojo salsa was really spicy and the chipotle pineapple was more mild. Not pictured were the Brussels sprouts in which we devoured. I had the special Hawaiian roll. It had coconut shrimp, cream cheese, pineapple and tuna on top. I would order sushi again here. They had a good variety of rolls. I also had the fried avocado taco and halloumi cheese and mango taco. Loved the tacos! My husband is vegetarian and they had plenty of vegetarian options. I’m so happy to see such a nice restaurant in Downtown New Baltimore! Can’t wait to go back!

Went here for a date night and it didn't disappoint. My sushi was very good and reasonably priced. Due to going to happy hour it was buy 2 get $4 off. Highly recommend the loaded fries they were so good, different from other places we would get that again! My husband ordered the Cuban quesodilla and said it was very good!

Our server Karen was very nice. She was attentive, friendly, and took good care of us.

The atmosphere was fun with the art work on the walls, intimate with the candles on the tables, and relaxed.

We visited on a Wednesday for happy hour. We enjoyed $4 off two sushi rolls and $5 beers. Kaphone, the sushi chef, is amazing! The sushi rolls were so beautifully presented and tasted amazing. Our table of 6 ordered quite a few rolls, and as he is the only sushi chef, rolls are brought out as they are made, but worth waiting! Haven't tried the Mexican part of the menu yet but we are returning this week to give it a go. Love the bartender, Kelly :) She works Tuesdays and Fridays

Food was great, had the grilled cheese + tomatoes soup. Good consistency and great flavor.
Also got a fiesta bowl with Carne Asada and was very satisfied.

They also gave this niche branded compact hand sanitizer.

We'll be back.

Absolute gem of a place! I never would have imagined the flavor variety in this new age menu. Danielle was awesome at recommending specialty cocktails and an assortment of appetizers. Can't wait to come back and try the Monte Cristo!

Had the Wet Burrito and my friend had the Boom Shakalaka Burger. Presentation was on point and both were delicious. The burger was just right and the curled wedge fries were amazing. The burrito was perfect, however needed some crunch... so I ordered chips, which did the trick. Our waitress was very nice and came back a few times to make sure we were pleased with our meal. Overall, we both enjoyed our experience and will be back to try the sushi!

Just tried the new Ribeye. The owner suggested we have it sliced after cooking it a medium rare - then the chef dressed it with their hand chopped chimichurri with lots of fresh garlic, fresh thyme & parsley, olive oil dressing over the top. We both loved it!

We met the NEW Sushi Chef Kophone - "West side Sushi Chef comes to East Side New Baltimore!!" The sushi was wonderful - we will be back for more soon! Fresh and many flavors of Tuna, Eel, Shrimp, Snow Crab and more packed into the two special rolls created by the Chef. Beautiful presentation of the Crunchy Roll & Dragon Roll - and the sauces on the board were each a different level of spicy.

The interior decor is now completely updated with fantastic murals, natural wood, and warm colors. Warm and inviting place - very friendly staff. Lots of TVs for sports with many nice beer options at $5 a draft for any flavor! I started with an oatmeal stout and my husband had his usual Stella - both on draft.

Ordered the Trio before and for two was a lot! Guacamole, queso that was homemade, and the chipotle sauce just enough heat (choice of 4 salsa options available). Chips were how we enjoy them most - light, warm, and crispy!

A excellent choice for unique Mexican or for some nice drinks… large bar area too for those like us who enjoy meeting people.

I never thought of going to a restaurant and ordering both Mexican and Japanese cuisine would be good. Both styles of cuisine are literally some of the best I have ever had. The sushi is excellent, and the asada tacos I had tonight were some of the best I have ever had. I can’t recommend this restaurant enough to anyone else who wants to try.

First time hearing about and also coming to this place & was blown away at their customer service and friendliness. We had espresso martini (smooth & creamy) which was great, spicy shrimp tempura roll, chicken shawarma wrap & the crispy chicken sandwich- all good choices. Had the fried cheesecake as well, which was really really good. Server was friendly and answered all questions and gave great recommendations. The lady who we assume is the owner was a doll & we really appreciated her efforts to make us feel satisfied and welcome. Definitely will be back to try brunch & the other things on the huge menu we could barely choose from! (Such a big menu I’ll want to try everything)

The staff was excellent. We had a server named Jill and a trainee named Nicole. There were 8 people in our party. Jill and Nicole were attentive. This was our first time there. We sat all together I can say that I never had to ask for a refill on my drink. The food was really good. The burrito was huge and very flavorful. I'm a large man and could not eat it all so I got a to go carton when we left. We paid at the table. They didn't rush us at all. The owner came up afterwards and asked us how everything went. I would go back in a heartbeat except I live 150 miles away.
I guess I would say that the atmosphere was such that this place would be a spot I would frequent several times a week if I lived in the area. Don't miss out, go to the Blind Owl, you won't be disappointed.

We visited Blind Owl three times in one week. Visit one we were hoping for sushi, but found out that the chef wasn't in until later that day. We still had some delicious Mexican food! Visit two we ordered some amazing drinks and then New Baltimore lost power 😅. Trip three we had more fantastic drinks followed by some authentic Cacio e Pepe made table side in a cheese wheel imported from Itlaly, finally had sushi that was delectable. My one and only small complaint is that two of the three times we had somewhat slow service, nothing crazy. They were busy so it's understandable. All in all I am excited to continue to come to Blind Owl!!!

It's a neat place. They offer sushi and Latin American food. The Pineapple Margarita was fantastic. I also enjoyed the chicken street tacos with pineapple habanero sauce. The restaurant/bar has a theme decor of the day of the dead. Reminded me of Encanto, the movie. The best part was the Espresso Martini for dessert. LOVED! We will be back.

The Blind Owl is a culinary gem that knows how to impress. Their burger is a work of art, the French fries are addictive, and the carrot cake is pure indulgence. It's a place where flavors and textures come together harmoniously, leaving you with a lasting impression. Whether you're a burger enthusiast, a fan of crispy fries, or a carrot cake lover, The Blind Owl is a must-visit destination that will satisfy your cravings and exceed your expectations. We will be back!

The food is superb!!! Found this lil place from a friend and go almost every chance I get. The fries are delicious! The drink menu is large, and service is great. Sometimes it’s a little loud in there but overall a great place!
