Pioneer 3 Theater

This is an updated review as there is new ownership. They are working hard to make upgrades to the theater. Because it's "historical" some things can't be changed, but they are making awesome progress . New seats, all the new movie releases, & Tuesdays are $6. We are fortunate to have them in our small town!!

Good service, clean theaters. So nice to have this local, we love it.

So cheap ($5), staff was friendly and the long theatre was perfect for a longsighted four-eye like me.

Wow wow wow…. Truly an experience you can’t get anywhere else. I’ve been to many theaters in the Omaha and Lincoln area because that is where I live now. The big theaters provide a quick experience but there is no personal touch. I visited the Pioneer 3 theater this past weekend while I was in town to visit my wife’s mother and we went for a little date night to see the newest marvel movie. I was taken aback the whole time. The rustic lobby was filled with people and I thought it would be at least a half hour before I was even able to order (especially with only 2 people behind the counter) but the line movies surprisingly swiftly and I was sitting in my seat in no time. The theater brought me back to my childhood and provided a great viewing experience. Afterwards, I had a nice conversation with the manager about the marvel universe which he was highly educated about. I really cannot wait to visit again 11/10 would recommend

Wow. I am impressed this theater is still there. This theater has so many memories for me. I saw my first movie in this theater back in 1998, "Saving Private Ryan." After that it was Toy Story 2, Emperors New Groove, all three Lord of the Rings (2001, 2002, 2003), Tomb Raider: Cradle of Life, and the third Jurassic Park movie. Maybe someday, I'll make a trip back to Nebraska, and see a movie for old memories.

It's not fancy or up to date in decor. But movies are always current and only $7. We live in town and for the price....I don't need a recliner or a 45 minute trip to the city!!

What a great theater. Tom is the manager and not only does he love his job he helps maintain this historic theater so well and happilygreets guests personally as they come in. He is always looking for great employees so if you're interested in enjoying a wonderful job in a grand old theater with Tom give him a shout.

Yes the seats are getting old, and it's not a new fancy theatre like you can go to in Lincoln or Omaha. However, small town that still has a theatre with new movies you can enjoy? That's awesome and deserves 5 stars. Great place to enjoy a movie.

I always enjoy the shows and the building. The people are friendly and helpful. Maybe it is just times I go but often there are few people watching the movies. Still the best movies make to my small town saving the the time and gas of driving to the big city, all at a great hometown price.

This old theater has so much character and holds so many memories. If you're ever in Nebraska City and have the time, I highly recommend that you see at least one film here. You can't help but feel like you're back in the 50's.

It was a great time at the show my grandson love the movie he didn't know what he was going to see and he loves Sonic so super excited about that it was nice clean everybody was nice and helpful there it was a good time at the show

My girl works here, S/O to Katie! But they have great service food is always good and they have super comfy chairs great place to watch a movie!

Staff was friendly & helpful. The seats were pretty comfortable and not to narrow.

This theatre is in a particular way classic. It is friendly and some comfortable. I love its silent and peaceful location.

It was small but clean and the movie was great. Really good prices on tickets

Enjoyed the last movie and I wasn't scrunched, got to chill and watch. People were polite too.

This place has the nicest employees love this theatre.

They have amazing popcorn and pop ! But the seats are getting bad . I think they need more candy !!!
