The Downtowner

The gyro meat is legit, not the fake kind you often see in diners, and I like how they work it into different kinds of foods. We had a big party with lots of different kinds of food and everybody liked their stuff. Reasonable prices and very good service, 100% recommend. An easy trip in from the interstate and worth the short detour.

Great service! Food had great taste without adding anything to it. Best pancake I have had in as long as I can remember! Might go back again tomorrow from out of town to try again tomorrow!!!

Service was great. Stopped in for breakfast. They were busy, but we were greeted and seated after a few minutes. The food was good and reasonably priced. Waitress was very friendly. The home fries were great.

Stopped in for a quick breakfast with our 4 girls on our way out of town from a trip to Arbor Lodge. Food was as good as any breakfast place. Staff was friendly. And some other family paid for our meal. We tried to pay for a couple to go coffees on the way out, the staff said no way. It was a great experience to end our trip. We'll be back!

Perfect! Amazing service from “the ladies”. Our breakfast was perfectly cooked, the sausages were crispy on the outside, tender in the middle, perfect!! A lovely stop in Nebraska City!!!!! The pricing is beyond reasonable!!!!

Clean, great atmosphere, Steve is a great server. Friendly, tentative. Food came quickly, portions were big, food delicious. Thank you.

Omg...so delicious, primo clean, homemade and healthy choices! I ate the Zeus Omelet both day...their side tzatziki sauce...fresh and homemade!

What a great experience dining at the Downtowner! Our waitress was awesome! We had a group of 12 & she got drinks promptly. She put the orders on 2 tickets & the food was out of the kitchen & served very quickly. Tasted great! If you get the chance to try them, it's well worth it!

This is a great mom and pop restaurant. Great service and wonderful staff. The breakfast we had was perfect. Great place to hang out. Enjoy!
