I've tried to come here at least a half a dozen times, but the wait was too long. But today, I must have hit the timing just right. We got seated for breakfast after only about a 30 minute wait. Service was great, the waitress took care of us, but she did forget our coffee but it was busy so I understand completely. The atmosphere inside their little shop is so cozy and we loved all of the syrups you could buy. Food was phenomenal! I got the Shack special with their famous pancake with maple syrup. So overall, definitely a 10 out of 10. Well worth it.

After a wild night hanging out with the fellas, Benton's totally saved the day the next morning. Their service was awesome - they hooked us up with a table for 7 in pretty much no time, even with a crowd waiting.

For breakfast, I went all in with the Meat Lover's omelet: smoked ham, bacon, sausage, maple cured kielbasa, and cheddar cheese, all packed into one crazy-good dish. I'm not really an egg person, but this thing was seriously amazing. Oh, and those homemade biscuits? Don't even get me started - they were absolutely to die for. Everyone at our table chowed down on the menu's endless options till they were full and happy.

Now, let's talk about the place itself. The shack has a Northern New England syrup-drenched history. It's got this one-of-a-kind vibe that both tourists and us locals can't get enough of.

Only open on weekends, so I rarely get a chance to go here (despite living 15 minutes from it), but when I do I love it!

Great food, large portions, and the prices have been practically the same for years. By far my favorite breakfast spot. The Country Benedict is excellent and the baked beans are some of my favorites. Just a couple highlights on a menu full of good stuff.

One day I will be here when they do the Apple Cider Doughnut French Toast. One day...

What a great place, we stopped in for breakfast on our way home from Lincoln on the recommendation of some friends at the American Legion. We were not disappointed. Our server Felicity was very nice and efficient. Wifey ordered the design your pancakes, I had The Shacks Big Country Breakfast everything was terrific Ma’s homemade maple beans are the boss. Lincoln needs a Benton’s Sugar Shack, you should really think about it, if you can find the workers in this post pandemic world where no one wants to work. So Benton’s is definitely a must do stop. Cheers

It's like stepping back in time. It reminds me of how things were when I was a kid. The people working there are all friendly, polite, and easy to spark a conversation with. The food was GREAT, arrived very quickly and my wife and I couldn't believe how low the prices were, especially for how much/ you get. They also have a little shop attached to the restaurant that is definitely worth your time. In short; if you want a fantastic meal served by great people at a great price, this is the place to go. A+

Such a fun place to get breakfast. You can tour the syrup making facility in the back, so a great distraction for kids while you wait. The breakfast was delicious, I really enjoyed the pancakes and had to order a biscuit on the side to try! So worth it! Also picked up a bottle of syrup to take home.

The sap is running and "sugaring" has begun! Great food and service at exceptional prices every day at Benton's Sugar Shack. Be sure to check out the products in the store, too, before you leave and make plans to return again. Check the website for the hours of operation. It's well worth the drive.

A good friend who lives in Thornton recommended Benton's and suggested talking to Brad with the hope that he might share about the history and making of Maple syrup. I inquired with the waitress bc my friends from the south have never been to or experienced a sugar shack. Wouldn't you know that Brad came in from home just for us!!! It was a fantastic treat for us. We truly enjoyed learning and meeting Brad and his son Mike.

The food was delicious! We learned they serve big portions so we got two dishes and shared amongst ourselves. It was perfect.

The store was a delight and fun stuff for gifts back home - repurposed sweater mittens that are inspired by Bernie Sander's mittens, Maple syrup candies, "wicked pissah" hand salve, and hats.

A gem of a place! A must see and eat experience. Ask for Brad! He's precious. Thank you!!

Real maple syrup of course, but homemade breads, muffins. Farm fresh ingredients and huge portions. Very reasonable prices. Delicious! Look how many blueberries in those pancakes. Be back tomorrow!

Yum! Worth the wait. Beautiful location in an old rustic sugar shack, filled with memorabilia, history, and goodies to take home with you.
The coffee is hot and fresh. The food is really good.
