Lokal Hotel - Cape May

I was struggling to find a hotel to celebrate my birthday and was so excited when I came across this one! Everything seemed to be well thought out! It definitely has the vibe I was going for! Everything was extremely clean. They provide many different amenities such as a little cocktail making set, coffee, teas and items for the beach ! While it was a little cold when I visited I definitely loved the proximity to the beach, the winery and the brewery as well as different restaurants! I will definitely return when the weather warms up!

Stayed for a night in the offseason and had an absolute blast! The room was gorgeous, everything was so well thought out, and we had a beautiful view of the ocean from our deck. Bonus points for the heated pool that was open early, the super comfy bed and good coffee for the morning. Will definitely try to come back for another stay soon!

It is more like an Airbnb/serviced apartment more than a boutique hotel. Excellent for families with kids. They have thought it through in detail as to what went in each unit. They have everything. No glass materials in the pool, no problem - they provide Yeti mugs, tumblers, etc. Looking to eat in and cook breakfast instead? No problem, they have cookware and even a spice rack that has more than the usual stuff you see in a kitchen. I can go on and on and on on what they have that you might need but they simply have it all. We look forward to visiting their other properties just because. And we would love to be back at this place in Cape May soon!

Lokal Hotel has become our most favorite place to stay in Cape May. It’s like a building of apartment style suites. So you totally feel like you live here. Amenities galore! Everything you need for a fabulous experience. Impeccably clean. Comfortable. Urban design meets Victorian Cape May. A truly unique experience.

The saltwater pool was open. John totally enjoyed it… again. He is an avid skier. And it brings back memories of winter trips.

We had a great stay at Lokal. The room (Nanty Narking) was beautiful, spacious, and clean. Had everything we needed. Perfect for two of us. You can't beat the location for Cape May....close to Beach Ave and Washington Mall. Courtney was exceedingly helpful when we asked to extend our stay.

And the heated pool was such a nice amenity. Very relaxing!

My favorite Hotel in Cape May! It's not really a hotel, it's like more of an apartment with every upscale amenity you can think of! This Was our fourth Birthday visit to the Lokal as we go every year for my wife's Birthday. It seems like each year it get better at the Lokal. Once again the weather cooperated and my Girls were able to go swimming in the heated pool even though it was 65 degrees outside. The location is the Best, close to walking distance to all the shops and eateries

Chad and Courtney are two of the most gracious hosts. As frequent travelers our experience at the Lokal Hotel was spectacular. We were married in the Benjo Suite 202. Chad was kind enough to video the service and Coutney attended. The rooms in the suite are "very clean", modern and very comfortable. The kitchen is very well appointed with everything needed. This Micro Hotel is a rare find. It was a home away from home for us on our wedding evening and day. Also, easy access to beach, restaurants and shopping. This is our second time staying at the Lokal and I have to say, the suites are fantastic. More than enough room for 2 couples, 2 full baths makes all the difference. The outdoor heated pool is amazing in December and so relaxing. The technology in the suite with the iPad is a great feature. Also nice to be able to leave and know they clean up after you, unlike an air bnb!

Perfect family friendly getaway to cape May! Love the location, the pool on site is amazing, and I LOVE that beach wagons are on site for use - so helpful. I can’t wait to come back

Wow! Really happily surprised! Booked here on a whim for a birthday getaway, and it was so easy and smooth the entire time. We did a 2-room suite on the first floor and it was stunningly appointed - I would honestly love to live there. We had a couple very minor things (tv in bedroom had to be re-connected) but it was easy to let them know and the customer service was fast & warm despite being a staffless entry hotel. It was the perfect marriage between an airbnb and a hotel! Would definitely recommend. Great location.

We stayed at the Lokal Cape May for 2 nights in mid-September for an anniversary getaway. We enjoyed it very much, and would definitely stay there again. The pool was a unique feature, making our stay extra relaxing. We loved the balcony, the spacious room, and all the little room amenities. Overall a very clean, comfortable and well-designed room. The communication with check-in and questions was excellent. Utilizing the included beach service was very convenient, especially with the already great location.

My wife and I stayed in the Nanty Narking Room (201) from 2/14/24 - 2/16/24. This was first time staying in Cape May, NJ. We liked the way the room was furnished and the room was impeccably clean. Lots of room for two people. Vaulted ceiling. Large Balcony. The room is located on the second floor in the front of the hotel so you have a view of the ocean. The hotel is in walking distance to everything. Each room has an assigned parking spot which I think is a great amenity since it may be difficult to find parking during the summer. Although we did not get to use the inground pool because it was February, it looks like it would be a lot of fun when the weather is a little bit warmer. What we loved the most were the personal touches. Upon entry to our room we were greeted with a note from Courtney Ludeman (Owner, Manager), a bottle of Prosecco and a confectionary from one of the local shops. We will definitely be returning to the Lokal Hotel.

We had an incredible stay here. Everything from the decor to the dishes to the assortment of coffee brewing options was intentional and perfect. My girlfriends and I had the best stay, and will for sure be coming back!

Super clean. Cozy & uncluttered but full of thoughtful provisions that were locally-made, organic, and natural. A bottle of Prosecco & hand-written welcome note greeted us. We enjoyed a dip in the heated pool all to ourselves (in December!). The rooms were spacious and comfy. Loved the options of yoga mats, thirsty Turkish beach towels, lux bath robes, and east off-street parking. Also Sonos, Netflix, & Spotify on the ready for our entertainment pleasure. So convenient to many great restaurants, shopping, and bars. We will definitely be back.

We are a family of five. As we reviewed our options for our trip to Cape May, so many of the choices in Cape May are completely tiny. Our space at Lokal was great for us. It is well appointed with a real sense of style. We enjoyed the pool after returning from the beach. The towels, tags, etc that are provided for the beach are great. It is a short walk to the beach. We really had a great experience. The front door to the building creeks noticeably. That’s about the only mild annoyance I can think of.

Excellent hotel! Modern, yet beachy vibe, and all the conveniences you could ever want. The efficiency room was clean and spacious. They supply chairs, coolers, bbq grill, fire pit salt water pool, games and so much more... just a gem.The location is perfect; one block from the beach and just a few from the quaint cape may shopping strip.

Second stay at a Lokal property and it will not be my last!

Chose to celebrate my 30th birthday here with my family and it was perfection (there was even a bottle of bubbly awaiting my arrival). We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite and it was perfect for a family of 4. The interior design is impeccable and the space immediately feels like you’re at home. Rooms are clean and homey with comfortable furniture and full service kitchen amenities.

The heated saltwater pool was the perfect temperature for late May and we whiled away the afternoon just floating around despite the chilly air. Pool was sparkling clean, as was the surrounding seating area. Would not hesitate to stay here again and have already recommended it to friends and family!

Cannot wait to go back and check out all of the other Lokal properties!

We've spent the past two summers at Lokal and plan to come back next year. The 2-bedroom Benjo apartment was perfect our family of four (two adults, two college-age kids). It's spacious (both inside and out on the deck), beautifully decorated, and outfitted with everything one could possibly need -- full kitchen, coffee/tea, beach towels, chairs & umbrellas, cooler, games, Netflix, and even yoga mats! We also loved Lokal's location right across from the beach and just a short walk from town.The service was excellent too. Owner, Courtney, and her staff were highly responsive and available if we needed anything. Thank you for a great stay! We can't wait to come back next summer!
