This is the best hidden gem for weekend dim sum! Service is gonna be way slow, as there are only like 2 people working the whole room. But the dim sum is delicious and the price is great!
The price range is $4 / $4.5 / $5. The size of the dishes is on the small side, but they all taste so good, and at that price, you can order 2! My husband and I usually order about 8 dishes normally, and this usually runs us in the mid $70 price range. Here we ordered 12 dishes (I know, we were like what the hell did we just do!) And it total was about $62. This is my new go to dim sum spot!
Pro tip: they do to go orders. There website does not show dim sum, but you can phone in your order.

The food, the people, the price, and the place overall is the best for dim sum!

Some may say the establishment is “out dated” but it’s actually the most authentic and true definition of what a small business is. It pains me to see how empty it’s gotten since covid, so if you’re reading this.. Pay them a visit, especially when it’s dim sum weekends with their carts!

I was craving duck one night and found the closest place that served it. Prior to going, I checked the recent reviews. I wasn't impressed, especially with comments in regards to waiting times after being seated. To my surprise, my experience was just the opposite. My companion and I went during its busiest time. We were greeted and seated right away. The gentleman that served us was amazing. He skillfully took the orders and recommended few dishes based on our preferences. I ordered an "Imperial Duck." I liked it. My tip would be to allow the meat to sufficiently absorb the sauce sitting at the bottom. It tastes better that way. I will go back in the future to try other dishes.

Really solid dimsum with the cart experience! Quick and friendly service, yummy food. Not inexpensive, but what is these days? Also, actually spicy hot oil, which is a rare and good find. I recommend if you have a hankering for dim sum as there isn't much in this area.

Really good dim sum! I've been coming here for 5 years now. Every time I come I feel so bad that the restaurant is so empty and it seems even worse after COVID. I'm hoping it's because people don't know this place has really good and cheap dim sum. I really do think they need to advertise it better cause the outside of the restaurant does not look welcoming and you definitely would not think this place serves dim sum (with carts too!). I've been to the other ones in NJ - Aquarius, Dim Sum Station, Qin Dynasty, and China Chef wins. Please people visit China Chef and show them some love! I need this place open forever.

Get the fried shrimp balls, siu mai, lava egg custard bun, bbq pork pastry, and thank me later.

Hands down one of the best Chinese places I’ve ever had. The chicken with broccoli is top notch delicious. Amazing food, and for UNDER 8 BUCKS?!!

Very nice and keep the tradition of dim sum! Taste the same or even better than Hong Kong. Must try !

The Dim Sum here in Secaucus is good for those who don't want to venture out into NYC.

This is the best Dim Sum in New Jersey, don’t let the outside look fool you. Really affordable and delicious!!
Spring rolls, fried shrimp balls are so good, pork pastries, lava egg custard bun are ridiculously good too. It's among my favorite dim sum places.

This place is legit! The all day dimsum is great and accurate in flavor. Pretty affordable and clean. Good place to come with family and friends.

Saturday and Sunday mornings they have cartfuls of dim sum made that morning! Amazing food all around. Must try the sticky rice wrapped in leaf. It's perfect beyond description! Lots of seafood and meats.

China chef is still open for business dining in takeout and delivery. It is not closed.

We came here for dim sum first thing when they opened on a weekend. Surprised it was completely empty....why??

Since we were here first thing, everything was got was so fresh. Even though we were the only people in the restaurant, they still came out with the cart which was fun. We got all our usual dishes - char sui buns, shu mai, har gow, pheonix feet, pork pastry pie, turnip cake, ribs, etc. Everything was ON POINT and delicious. I was not disappointed at any of the items. Everything was so fresh!!! Again, we were the only ones so there was no wait whenever we ordered something. The Pork Pastry Pie was To Die For. Like, we actually ordered 4 orders of them - we just kept eating them. Sooooo buttery and flaky and full of flavor. Man, they did not skimp on flavor here.

My family and I were thrilled we found this place. Definitely will come back again! Pricing was so reasonable too! Large parking lot. No idea why this place was empty when we got here. But it's fine, I'll take all the food for myself! (Yes it's a little run down on the inside but hey, the food speaks for itself here.)

I like the food however I didn’t like that I had to ask for rice. I was under the impression that when you ordered an entree it came with rice automatically. Also, I had to ask for water but in their defense it was just one elderly gentleman waiting on everyone there…soup dumplings were good so was the chicken and broccoli and the flounder.

I never usually write reviews but I felt this was needed for me to write. I'm visiting New York from Seattle. I needed to get out of the busy city for a day. Me and my family drove to New Jersey came across with this Chinese restaurant. The owners were so warm, welcoming I ordered shrimp dumplings, Kung po shrimp, chow main noodles, fried rice, general Tao, and beef hunan. All the dishes were so well seasoned and flavorful. If I lived in New York or New Jersey area this be my go to restaurant. If in future I visit again I would of course eat here again. It was my pleasure 🙏 meeting the kind owners and enjoy the delicious meals at this restaurant.

The egg drop soup, wonton soup, and Chinatown style duck were excellent.

I've been dinning here for years and always had a great experience. Friendly and attentive staff. Food has always been on point with good portion sizes, great taste and quality fresh ingredients. The beef pan fried noodles are definitely my favorite and one of the reasons I keep going back!
