My husband has been going to Dr. Schenk for over 16 years now. He originally operated on him for a tibia plateau fracture in 2002. It was a very complicated 4 hour surgery and has has made an excellent recovery. My husband has returned over the years for various orthopedic injuries, most recently for torn meniscus tear surgery in September 2018. Dr. Schenk and his staff have always been exceptional! Dr. Schenk has always provided excellent care. My husband was very lucky to have found Dr. Schenk to be his orthopedic surgeon!

Had a 3b open fracture of my left tibia/fibula. I nearly lost my leg. Dr. Schenck definitely saved the day on this one. Also, my wife has heard nothing but good about him. I'm very lucky to have gotten him.

Performed surgery on my broken wrist. Was able to squeeze me in to do it as soon as possible. Very kind and friendly, I am recovering well.

Dr Schenk fixed my broken leg and I am beyond happy with the result. I only wish I could have been conscious to see him work :-) Maybe that was for the best..

Dr. Schenk operated on my 92 year-old mother on 4/3/23. Although her hip appears to be healed and her fractured tibia appears to be healing, I have no been able to get him to respond to my questions. She is in a rehab facility therefore she has not had a follow up visit with him. I was told by his office to email my questions and he would answer them. When you email you get a message that says your email will be answered within 24 hours. I have emailed twice with no reply. Additionally, when I spoke to him right after her surgery, he seemed impatient with the few questions I had. He may be a good surgeon but his bedside manner and follow up leave something to be desired. From what I have read, we are not the only ones to have a similar experience.

Patellar tendon reattachment surgery here. He gave me an unjust evaluation to return to work even though I told him I was suffering depression, dealing with extraordinary personal tragedies, and still using crutches. He gave me half a week after the appointment for my return to work date. Then the office calls me a week after telling me he got the date wrong (made me look foolish at my job since the worker comp worker was conveniently on vacation). Then i spent weeks battling with workers comp as they gave me a hard time by insisting on the earlier date. He may be a good surgeon, but get an evaluation elsewhere because he will take advantage of your mental state and say that his license is on the line BS (more like I will give you anxiety and make you question your sanity so i can take your money with unnecessary appointments, biased evaluation, and charge you for appointments that I specifically canceled but they claim otherwise).

Worse Dr I have ever met. Didn't read my chart talked to me like I was a child . After he examined me he said he don't fix tears in the knee . He does broken bones. He knew why I was their. His bed side manor is horrible . How can you send someone for therapy when you don't do tears. To bad I will call the insurance so he don't get paid.

This doctor ( Richard Schenk ) is been paid by the workers comp insurance company so do wait for a fair evaluation he is a fraud and he should be sued for his unprofessional work.

Not my first choice he read the wrong chart and insisted he was reading an xray that did not exist
