We were out-of-state buyers that relied on her to act on our behalf because we couldn't be there for most of the process. She and the escrow team made the closing process as easy as possible for us. There is no chance that our family would be in a house today if it were not for Jan Wilkinson. She literally acted as a guardian angel to us. We kept having things go wrong in the process of buying a home. Only when Jan became our realtor did things begin to turn around.

We completed our family in early 2019 and worked hard to get in the perfect place financially before applying for our home loan. We applied for a loan in March 2020. The pandemic hit and we had to watch in terror as home prices rose quickly and astronomically.

The sadness of having missed a more affordable market by months hit us very hard. In early 2020 we easily could have gotten what we wanted for the price we worked to be able to afford and qualify for. We so badly wanted a yard for our children and dog to play in. We had lived in an apartment for 7.5 years and had long outgrown it.

Jan was so quick and responsive when we expressed interest in homes. She arranged showings the same day that we inquired. Our home popped up one day and Jan got us in to see it the day it was listed. Jan walked us through submitting our offer and handled everything so seamlessly. We were always kept in the loop. Somehow the seller chose us.

During the road to closing, addendums were completed quickly and professionally. Jan arranged our inspection and communicated with our lender to make sure things were progressing. Weeks later the appraisal came back, it came back too low because of bad market data used and how quickly the market has increased home prices.

I was sent into a downward spiral at this point because this home was our last chance in this increasing market. We had long discussions about what our long term plan could be. Then came the most incredible miracle—JAN. She got us in our home! She fought for us, sacrificed hugely, and turned our heartbreak into the brightest of lights. Hold onto hope in this market because there are amazing people like Jan out there helping make dreams come true. I've worked with multiple real estate agents in the past. However, I've never experienced such professionalism from Shelby. Shelby brings so much tribal knowledge about the Dixie Area. Shelby was there for us the entire process. She was detailed and got things done. I would recommend her and her agency anytime.
