Fun walk with my wife. The entrance driveway is small, there is parking for about a few cars. Trail is marked very well, there are some muddy spots but if you pay attention there are small trails to the left around the muddy spots on your way in. Tons of historical locations, some movies used this location. There are a few historical stops with pictures and a story about the history. The first couple miles is very easy. You will come to a sign where you can hike another couple miles but it is moderate. I hike a bit with my son so I had no.problem going straight up after the sign. It is a bit Rocky but some beautiful views from above. Its mostly in the shade, not to much sun. Enjoy your walk back in history.

What a great little hike. No overlook, but some good mountain and meadow views along the rail trail, which is very level and good for smaller kids, then a lovely forest walk on the Bullet Hold Spur. More climbs on the spur: about 2.25 hours round trip for a couple of out of shape middle aged people. Surprisingly not crowded on a late Saturday morning. Pull into the parking area off depot road: the lot is not visible from the road.

It's an easy trail. You can opt to do the difficult part, which isn't really hard. Lots of birds and nice views. Lots of trees on the harder section, and a bit of the creek is in view. Volunteers make a good effort to maintain the trails, but people like to bag their dog poop and leave it all over the trails and parking lot. If you see someone doing this, please feel free to give them a smack upside the head so they don't forget to pick it up.

Great for beginners, have no fear when trail turns in the loop, the forest gets darker,it's magical.

This is a beautiful trail with a variety of walking and hiking challenges. The first mile offers a flat walk with wonderful views, and then it begins to climb to a more challenging hike. The full hike ends in a beautiful pine forest, and is well worth the effort. It's an out and back trail. We do it often!

Beautiful walking trail along the old railroad line. The tracks are gone, but there is a nice wide path for walking, running and exploring. Blackberries and raspberries grow along the trail. You can rest at a bench and watch a beaver swim in the pond at the bottom of the hill. Very meditative. There is signage along the way that points out important sights and nature facts. Great for families, since it's all flat.
