Gary's Restaurant

Came in on a Tuesday morning. I let them know we had 10 people and I thought the server was gonna cry. She said her help called out and it was just her, so as long as we were patient we'd be OK. The service was incredible. She put pots of coffee on the table so we didn't have to wait for refills and all the food was hot, as ordered and pretty quick. Great experience!

Good food, generous portions, at reasonable prices. Everything you could want from a diner. I definitely recommend it!

I had grilled salmon patty. Salmon Patty's were cooked perfectly . My sides were good. I will go back

I have been going to Gary's since I was in 7th/8th grade (after sockhops). I was addicted to their ice the whole time I was pregnant with my son 20 yrs ago, plus I went into labor there. Gary and his wife are family friends and everyone that works there works their tails off to keep the good home cooked meals. I just wish there was a way I could get my semi truck and trailer in there when I am on a 10 hr. I will always have fond memories of not just hanging with friends after school dances but also you all are great people. Old timey little hole in the wall restaurant. They have a decent looking buffet, but I had the Philly cheese steak sandwich with fries. The fries were fresh and I got way more than expected. The sandwich was tasty. Definitely recommend this place.

Small town diner, you have to like that atmosphere or you may not enjoy it. Our family loves Gary's, especially breakfast.

Our new favorite breakfast place in the area. The staff are all very nice, the restaurant is super clean, the food is excellent, and the prices are competitive.

They have a breakfast buffet or you can order of the menu. The buffet is well stocked and the food tastes fresh. The biscuits and gravy were really good as well as the bacon, ham, and sausage. The coffee was hot, fresh, and stayed pretty well full.

We live in Belleville and plan on driving to Freeburg regularly for breakfast. This is definitely the best breakfast we have found in St. Clair County.

Good home cooked food. So hard to find anymore.

My daughter and I had a great experience here. The waitresses were older and just talking to each other about life and we absolutely loved the openness and small town restaurant atmosphere. The food was great too. We both got omelets. I havent been here in years but very glad we went!

I always have a good experience at Gary's. Good service, great prices, and the best food. The people in the community are so nice as well. It has a welcoming feeling. The antiques around the restraunt give it the best touch. Kim is the best waitress by far, but they are all good. 👍

A great restaurant for anyone to eat whether you're local, not local, sober, or not so sober... Awesome breakfast cooking and great staff. I noticed they renovated a little a while back and the place looks great.

Really tastey eggs, Like the best, came here at 1:00 in the morning from grandmas house and the eggs were so good i wanted more but i had a busy day in the morning so i had to leave. Only bad part was im pretty sure the people behind me where really high. But other than that the waitress was nice. And i saw a Titanic poster on the wall. A lotta cool historical things that i really like. Best hometown diner ever

I come here almost every morning for breakfast when I work the morning shift, I greatly enjoy the specials! cheap, good and filling!
the staff isn't "courteous" per se but they are very friendly and obviously care to help out.

If you want a diner experience this is a hidden gem. Great home cooking experience. If in Freeburg IL. it is worth the stop. No thrills just great comfort food at a good price...
