The Ocean Bay House

Wow! This is a hidden gem on the south shore of LI. Our room was spacious, bathroom was updated and the breakfast was yummy! It was still beautifully decorates for Christmas when we went. It was a gift from my brother in law and we truly enjoyed every second of our time there! Beautiful porch, fireplace area and patio are complete with Edison bulbs. Staff was very courteous.

The ocean bay house was the perfect location for my wedding ceremony. My family was able to rent the whole house for the weekend. The grounds were picturesque for our photos and ceremony, and Elizabeth is unparalleled in her customer service, friendliness and helpfulness! We will return!!! The sea born suite was perfect for the bridal party to get ready and we could look out the window to see everything getting setup.

I booked several rooms as we were attending a wedding nearby. What an amazing experience! The Inn keeper, Liz, was very attentive even before we arrived answering any questions. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by Liz and she even helped carry our bags to the 3rd floor (no elevator but we were aware and not an issue for us). The house is beautiful and instantly transports you to vacation mode! Like the entire place, the rooms are gorgeous, super comfortable and so clean. And then there is delicious breakfast! Everything is freshly cooked and baked and it smells amazing throughout the house. There is plenty of parking, the grounds are beautiful and even a pool. Thank you Liz for a great experience, we will be back soon!

Spent the weekend here for a HS reunion. Beautiful home, great breakfast, nice rooms. Location is amazing - right at the marina. Would stay again. Beware - old house with lots of steps! But so worth it.

The house is beautiful and clean. The staff was super friendly and you can tell they actually care about you and making your visit as best as possible. I highly recommend ocean bay house whether it be for a bed-and-breakfast stay or booking an event. It’s a great place all around.

I found this place randomly searching for last minute stays and I’m glad I did! The staff (specifically Liz) was welcoming and friendly! They upgraded our room and gave us an incredible view! Recommendations for great dinner/ drinks were endless and accurate. The house is beautifully maintained and the grounds make it feel secluded and quaint. The pool is beautiful. The views of the marina are spectacular. Our room was large and perfect! The bathroom was updated and stunning. Breakfast was amazing and the service was impeccable. It was our first B&B experience and it won’t be the last! I won’t stay anywhere but here when we visit.

I’ve never stayed in a B&B before and wasn’t sure what to expect. But, after staying at The Ocean Bay House I never want to stay in a hotel ever again. I was greeted by Jen and Liz who are the nicest people you’ll ever meet. The property is stunning. It’s situated right on a quiet marina with great views and a gorgeous pool. Very serene and peaceful both inside and out. My room, which was Bay Shore, was big, bright, airy, well appointed and immaculate. Absolutely the cleanest, most comfortable place I’ve ever stayed. I was so comfortable. It felt like I was staying at an old friends house. I didn’t want to leave can’t wait to come back! Thank you, Jen and Liz for everything!

We stayed at the Ocean Bay House mid December and had one of the best B&B experiences ever. It's a beautifully renovated Victorian House with all the amenities one could ask for. The managers Liz and Jen were very professional. During our stay Liz was mainly there making sure our visit was perfect. She prepared wonderful breakfasts and allowed us to use the common areas to meet with extended family members. She was so hospitable, we could find no areas of improvement. Thank you so much Liz!

Amazing all the way around. Jen was such a great hostess. The house has so much character and was super clean and smelled so good. The bed was comfortable with the softest linens. Home cooked breakfast and fresh muffins… we will definitely be back!

The Ocean Bay House was the site of our small daytime wedding reception and we couldn’t have asked for a better location. We stayed there one day on each end of the wedding and couldn’t have felt more at home. Liz and Jen were incredibly helpful with the planning of the reception as well as setting up and maintaining the flow of the day. Every dish they served was delicious and picturesque. The venue was big enough for everyone to be comfortable while intimate enough to capture the essence of the day. The house, along with the marina, made for some beautiful photos and the Seaborne Suite was the perfect room for us. Both ourselves and our guests were blown away by this tucked away gem.

Visited with my wife in summer 2021 and stayed for three nights. This B&B is located in a lovely property, it is well decorated, welcoming and spotlessly clean. Liz and Jen were wonderful hosts, they are very nice, and made homemade pancakes, scones and waffles every morning. There is a nice garden with a pool in the property, which is certainly a plus. The neighborhood near marina is very quiet and pleasant, and you are just a few minutes' walk from main street and many good restaurants. This is a perfect spot for a relaxing escapade from the city, quiet and it is still just a ferry trip away from beautiful beaches on Fire Island. We had an wonderful time, would go back again 100%

Our stay at the Ocean Bay House was awesome. The room was immaculate, comfortable, and super homey. Both Liz and Jennifer were phenomenal hosts. They were easy to get a hold of and provided us with an amazing breakfast during our stay. The pool is also awesome. We will definitely be back!

Liz and Jen were absolutely fantastic. They made my stay for a friends funeral just so much better. They were very personable. They made me feel at home. I felt like I was staying with friends.

Breakfast was amazing. Different every day but cooked on a regular stove, not on a commercial fry-top. Eggs were perfect, bacon, fresh fruit.

Absolutely not “snooty” one bit! Just a nice comfortable atmosphere.

This place is an absolute must! From the service to food quality to accommodations, it is all top notch. The views from the rooms are incredible as well (especially the East End room). There is nothing to complain about or improve on. It was a wonderful experience overall. Liz and Jen were fantastic hosts. Parking was easy. Everything was clean as can be. We will absolutely stay here again when we need to stay on Long Island. Book the trip, you won’t be disappointed!

The whole ambiance of the Ocean Bay House was peaceful, beautiful, and welcoming. I've stayed there now on three occasions for a friends' reunion, an overnight visit to see family, & and some of our family stayed there during my Mom's final services. The managers, Liz & Jen, could not be more accommodating & hospitable and their breakfasts are always delicious-especially those homemade muffins!!

We stayed here for an anniversary get away. The house was beautiful, and immaculately clean with charming seasonal decor. The hosts were very friendly and accomodating, and for staying in a house, it provided privacy and comfort for our stay. This bed and breakfast far exceeded the expectations I had and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was amazing and delicious, again served at our pace and comfort. I already highly recommended this house to my friends and family. We look forward to going back in the future! Thank you so much to the hosts for making this a memorable anniversary.

I would gladly stay here again. Welcoming old home, quiet rooms, very clean and just enough space. Liz feels like your young friend who is there to chat and make you a spectacular breakfast. Peppy and full of positive energy, she is a brilliant start to any day. Met Christine only briefly, she is very nice (extremely pretty) Previously lived up here a few miles away in Brightwaters, perfect way to visit the old neighborhood -- never knew this was here! I'll be back.

This could not have been a better choice for a friends reunion. The accommodations were outstanding, so conducive to our small group gatherings and late-night conversations over wine on the porch and in the living room area. Proximity to the marina and Bay Shore town allowed easy access to everything we needed. Liz and Jenna felt like family, as they provided just about everything we needed, including sending us off with a fantastic breakfast every morning. Will definitley return for a visit here.

Ocean Bay House was an excellent choice for our stay! The place was incredibly clean and beautiful, the bed was comfortable, the breakfast was delicious, and most importantly the hosts Jen and Liz were extremely welcoming and kind. Much more convenient and enjoyable than a hotel. Would recommend to anyone visiting the area and will definitely be staying again!

I have stayed and worked at resorts/ Inn’s and didn’t expect a full bed and breakfast experience most of the amenities places should have. I had a funeral in Southampton and with traffic didn’t arrive till 8:00pm at OBH. Got a text message with all information and codes to get in with contact free entry. Plenty of parking pretty easy to get in large downstairs area ( check pictures on website) a large water cooler and tea area for guests. I spotted a candy dish with Hersheys and starburst’s how did they read my mind. Went up the very unique staircase I lived in a very old house and creaking staircase was expected but felt like a kid sneaking back in house without waking anyone 🤭 it was impossible not to make noise. My door was 2nd floor Ocean Ave. by stairs no problem entering the room was very large clean and bathroom was spacious. Can I also say decor was simple and not cluttered everything had a purpose. Small fridge with water and some treats after driving and not eating it was very appreciated. I laid on bed figuring out where to eat plenty of places near by but was so comfortable in the bed which was amazing and a pillow lover’s dream decided to stay put. When eating breakfast sit outside but first have cup of tea or coffee look around the butterfly’s dream garden around the house. People who stay at B and B are often very friendly so other guests will chit chat and it’s easy to meet new friends. I meet a lovely couple from England while eating fresh baked muffins, fresh fruit and scrambled eggs that day. I then changed because I wanted to go in the pool which was the cleanest pool and most comfortable! I kid you not it’s cushioned and smooth so no snagging on bathing suit or rough pool floor. Plenty of chairs and pool floats to use and beach towels on porch to use. The view of boats and trees 🌳 didn’t hear traffic. I can go on and on about this place but it is a true Bed and Breakfast. Wish all places would follow the ocean bay house standards
