I'll always make the drive from Queens to K&D because I'm always pleased with the caliber of service I receive. My styles receive compliment after compliment...even after it's been in for a couple of weeks.

Wow! So many incredible, talented women in K&D African Hair Braiding. Thank you for a wonderful experience. I feel so beautiful with my bohemian braids. I’ve received so many compliments too.

I've been coming to K&D for about 12 years now and I've never been dissatisfied with any of the services I've received. If I have an issue, I only have to speak up and it's resolved then and there.

Over the years, I've done twists, human hair box braids, crochet, weave combos, goddess braids, cornrows... Each and every time, the stylists were quick, neat and creative and the braids lasted quite a long time. As long as you are transparent regarding your needs, wants and expectations, you will be matched to the stylist best suited to your needs.

In each of the photos attached, I came to my appointment with no less than 5 online pics, each representing a portion of the style I was trying to create. They understood my crazy and put it all together PERFECTLY every time!

Most importantly, during this pandemic, Nawa and her staff have taken every precaution to keep their clients and employees safe while still providing the best service possible.

I got my hair done as a walk in, before a procedure I was having the next day and the service was excellent. The shop is clean and it’s very professional. Thank you for doing an excellent job and I will definitely be making my next appointment!!

Went with my cousin to get her make up done and made myself an appointment for hair braiding. IM EXCITED. While sitting there got to see all the makings of beautiful braiding styles and designs..

Went to K&D to get my hair braided in box braids human hair and I love my hair. The service was very good and my braid stylist was fast. I also love that she didn't braid my hair extra tight.

I have been a customer with K&D African Hair Braiding Since the year the early 2000's. I know the owners ,im familiar with there children and most importantly their SUPERB SERVICES. I could go to NYC, some places out on eastern LongIsland, even in Jersey to get my hair braided. But I choose to stay with K&D Braiding in Bayshore NY, because they are Authentic. Very professional. Caring and are always up to date with styles, hair care and most of all customer care. Anyone reading this id certainly tell u with complete honesty you won't be disappointed!! I got some of my best modeling jobs when I got my hair braided almost 20yrs ago.

This location does very good hair. I just tried to book an appointment but they are asking for a $55 deposit which includes a $5 service fee that doesn't go towards your hair. So there is a service fee to pay for a deposit for service then you have to pay for service again at the salon anyway. I know its only $5 but its the principle of just charging customers for something as simple as making an appointment. I don't think that is fair.

It was a wonderful services. I was calling yesterday morning for an appointment, Kandee did her best and checked my girls in at 5:00 pm. They are very professional and patient and nice with clients. My girls just showed them the picture regarding the style she would like to get. I am telling you guys they did it much better than the picture. I recommend anyone who is looking for a good place to make you happy, call them and set up an appointment. I promise you guys You won’t be disappointed.

The best braiding place in Long Island!! Kandi and her staff are amazingly talented and the nicest people to tend to your hair! The only place I will get my hair braided!

11/10 DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!! I just want to say that these ladies are amazing. They are extremely Kind, huge-hearted amazing people. I was in the hospital with covid for 2 months on a ventilator and I got a HUGE knot in my hair because it wasn’t brushed. I suffered with this knot for 9 months because I couldn’t get it out and I didn’t want to shave my head. I was waiting for it to grow out because I couldn’t fix it. These ladies took me in even though they don’t really take knots out for people, I don’t think that’s really a service they offer lol but they did it for me anyway. Kind worked on my head for almost 2 hours and got the entire thing out. I cried the whole way home because I couldn’t believe she got it out for me. It sounds so small but it was really huge for me and I am so grateful for them. While I was there I was able to watch each woman work and THEY ARE SO TALENTED!!! Each stylist knows exactly what they are doing and are all extremely talented in their trade. I lost a lot of hair from Covid but when it all grows back I will definitely be going back for some braids!!! My boyfriend gets his done there and they are PERFECT every time. I would recommend this place a million times over. Thank you to all these ladies for helping me out and giving me some confidence back. I’ll be back and everyone should try them out also!

Love it! They get you in and out and your hair will look amazing!! Definitely make an appointment because they stay busy. They are very accommodating and will make sure you get the style you want. I've received so many compliments on my braids❤

I am so excited about my box braids! I was so worried my hair wouldn’t be ready for the work week and they were willing to take me same day, I greatly appreciate how warm and inviting they were and I’m just overall impressed. I haven’t been there in years, but I am so glad I was able to make it back to them. Many blessing to these ladies ❤

I've been loving getting my daughter and my hair done with these beautiful women for 10 yrs now . They are always fair with there customers first come first serve, very friendly . They will give you the style you ask for and make sure the the right queen is doing it. I've always recommend friends and family to go to them especially living on Long Island suffolk county. I had a great experience at K&D African Hair Braiding today. I had received a recommendation from a close friend of mine to visit this location in Bayshore. I didn't have an appointment and was able to come in as a walk-in and receive service. The environment was clean, the staff was friendly and professional, and I didn't have to wait long to have my braids done. Aja was my stylist and she was phenomenal! I definitely recommend this salon for braids and look forward to going in the future.

Kandi is awesome! She cared for my hair like it was her very own. I have been getting my hair braided for over 15 years and never has a hair dresser taken as much care as she did. She went above and beyond by giving me tips in detail on how to care for my natural hair which is something no one has ever taken the time to do. I think I have found my new favorite braiding salon!

I had the Kinky Braids done and was very concern because my hair was damaged. The Lady at the front desk is so professional and she showed such care and what I was telling her about my hair. She gave me the girl who sits 0ne station down from the counter. She was wonderful, she did not braid my hair too tight and she took care in doing my edges as I asked her to. The hair they used is wonderful. It did not inch at all. The shop was clean and beautifully decorated. I have been going to this shops for quite some time and it has made some really great improvements. The girl at the front desk is I believe the real business women and has done a marvelous job. The only negative I do have is the paper on the door to make appointments. I think calling and assigning the appointments to the girls in the shop is better. I live in another state now, and when I am on Long Island, this is the shop I go to for my twists. I cannot be there the night before to sign a sheet. But the girl at the front desk, she helped me and I was able to get in and have my hair done in the short period of time I was in Long Island. I will be returning whenever I am on the Island. Do anyone one know the brand of hair for Kicky twists that they use. I would really like to buy it. For I do need my hair done again and I really liked the hair.
